Really good spot for getting to yosemite early. We had fun splashing in the small creek nearby, the site was shaded and moderately sized. Only downside was the mosquitoes later on

Larry was a great camp host, we hope to see him next year! The bathrooms were clean. The campground was well taken care of. We enjoyed our experience very much.

This is the perfect spot if you cant get reservations inside of Yosemite. Its about 5 minutes from the Wawona entrance. While there are only vault toilets, the bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. There is potable water as well. The camp host said it comes from a well that is tested every two weeks. Its a small, quiet campground perfect for resting up before a big hike.

The campsite host Larry was very rude and unprofessional. We had a fire burning and was accused of having a bomb fire and got a citation due to his false accusations. He came to our campsite looked at the fire and said everything looks goof and left. next day the Rangers showup saying that he got a call from larry the campsite host and left us a ticket then Larry accused us of not paying for the campsite just harassing us. Made it the worst vacation ever. They need to fire Larry a

Campsite 12 was incredible! Lots of shade, privacy, and very large. We were sad we only stayed one night - would definitely recommend this site!

The site was perfect. My family and I liked that the campsites were not super close to each other which allowed us some privacy. It was quiet and welcoming. Restrooms were routinely cleaned and stocked with extra toilet paper. The man in charge of the site did periodical drive through the camping site making sure everything was running smoothly. Overall we loved our camping experience

The campground is well maintained and the camp host is amazing. This location is about 30 mins away from the city so dont forget your pillow, sleeping bag, or propane. There is a small store really close that has some groceries and smaller camping supplies. The campsite feels very safe.

We arrived at this campsite at night. We liked that it was pitch black which makes it easy to stargaze at night. You can expect privacy from your neighbors, even though they feel and seem close. It feels like you are camping in a meadow, with very tall grass surrounding you. Not my favourite, but we made it work. Super close to the vault toilets. The paved road was a bit bumpy and could use some maintenance.

Nice spot by the restrooms and camp host. The camp host was very nice and helpful. I stayed here after driving about six hours so I was happy to pull up, walk around a bit, make some food and sleep. The next morning I woke up early and drove to Yosemite which was very close. I would come and stay at this campground again.

Beautiful, clean campground. We were in site 17. It was very large. Could have easily fit 2 or 3 tents. We were right next to the creek and it was lovely. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Great place to camp.

Fantastic setting along Big Creek and close proximity to Yosemite and Bass Lake.
@JenniferS62688 · Camped on Sep 10, 2023 at Campsite #18
Beautiful campground/campsite. With no line to get through the Yosemite entrance, this campground is about an hour from Yosemite Valley. We wish we would have had more time at the campground, as a short trip dictated us leaving early and arriving late to our campsite, due to the drive. We would choose this location again, if we had more time. Serene, private, quiet and spacious. Vault toilets were very clean. We brought a solar shower for cleaning up. Very enjoyable location.

Still one of my favorite places to camp and fish ever since I was a young boy in 1975, Larry and his wife are excellent hostesses and I look forward to coming back next year.

Wonderful campground, amazing host, and an overall fantastic experience. The River wraps around campground and there are small hiking trails to explore making this an awesome place to stay. Whats best is its proximity to Yosemite National Park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
