The campsite was not well-maintained. Messy, Tight quarters and the worst of the three campsites we stayed in Yosemite. The host was unresponsive and not very helpful. No wood available, No record of our reservation and kept her generator on most of the evening.

Campgrounds were clean and camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Camp site was still occupied after check out, Camp host Rene was NO help on getting them out. Camp site was filthy with trash and dog hair along with there droppings. By far our worst experience we had, going over there 15 years plus going to Soquel. Campers are leaving trash all over the campgrounds!! We also reserved 3 site with family and we were placed in split site, In our opinion Camp host didn't do a good job in accommodation.

Someone without a reservation was allowed to take a campsite, leaving us without one. We had reserved a site 4 months in advance. People with loud ATVs were allowed to race up and down the road with blasting music at all hours of the day and night. Nearby camps had loud music all day until midnight.

Starting off, the camp host was so sweet. All of the neighbors were very respectful of noise. All of the campsites, but two were right off of the river. Overall, I would come back here. It was a great experience.

Had a great time with multiple families staying here at the end of July. Campsites are nicely spread apart, well shaded, and nearby creek was amazing. I was worried about mosquitos, but they were only a minor nuisance at dusk.

Camp host Mike was great. He had our sites in clean, excellent condition when we arrived and made us feel like VIPs throughout our visit. The campground was peaceful and beautiful. Looking forward to next years visit.

Absolutely stunning campground. Definitely off the beaten path but WORTH IT. It’s not all that far from Oakhurst if you do need something but still deep into the mountain so it’s serene. Nights get very cold & moist due to the proximity to the creek so account for that. Camp Host is so kind and keeps the place extremely clean. Vault bathrooms do have TP but I would bring your own just in case. Can’t wait to come back & make Soquel our annual trip!

This a nature’s lover paradise. We had only one night reservation but ended up staying three. Our host, Mike, was great; he was very nice, informative and kept the campsites clean. We got site #4 and a creek was running along the site. It was very peaceful. We loved it! The only downside is the outhouse were small. The women’s was very clean but my husband mentioned it he men’s smelled. Also, there is no potable water. You have to drive carefully since the road to get there is dirt for about 1 1/4 miles and your vehicle will pick up a lot of dust.

The camp host was very friendly and gave us the best campsite on the lot. We were easily able to get in and out of the campground to go to town or to Yosemite national park. There is no cell coverage so review the weather for the next day before you enter the campsite.
@RobertoM655308 · Camped on Jun 2, 2023 at Campsite #30
Liked the seclusion, low number of sites, and that campsites are next to a creek.

We love Soquel! As my husband says, it’s a campground for campers - quiet, courteous guests and ZERO cell service. The host is helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and keeps a clean camp. We’ll keep coming back!

There are not actual sites to reserve...if you don't get there early enough, you may not get a good spot...we have a large tent and luckily we got there early enough to get a site to accommodate us. Very clean restrooms and quiet...nice time otherwise!

Perfect time of year with kids in school, cool night temps but not cold, and beautiful day temps. Few other campers, so very little traffic. Our host put us in site #1 right along the creek, which was great. The site was clean and easy to get into and out of. The roads into this area are horrendous once you pass the Nelder Grove turn off, so having a campsite that's only a couple of miles down the road is ideal. If you have a heavy duty truck or jeep, or a nimble smaller car, good for you, but we have a camper and the fewer miles on pothole roads the better. Great location. Great hiking from the site. Loved our stay.

Really enjoyed our campsite by the river. Mike, the camp host was super helpful and friendly and the outhouses and facilities were nice and clean.

People, it's called camping, not glamping. YES, there are vault toilets, if you don't like it bring a shovel and go in the woods. The creek is always nice to sit in a relax, always quite, unless it's a holiday weekend and the weekend warriors are out running their machines. Yes, you have to find fire wood, no there is no running water, bring it in. And no cell service. You should not be on your phone anyway. Unplug and enjoy life. Don't like, don't come.

Camp ground was great and well maintained. We were at the site right by the bathroom and there were sooo many hornets. We brought traps and put orange juice in them with little success. They were more interested in our turkey deli meat than the traps.

Unfortunately, it appears we arrived to the campground after some tree clearing work had been done in and around the surrounding camp area. It made our visit highly unappealing and felt, overall, quite unsafe - even though admittedly it may not have been. If you're driving anything other than an SUV, it also is extremely difficult to get to with unpaved, uneven and pothole-ridden roads. The site also did not have running water in the restroom areas, outhouse-style only - as a general forewarning for those casual campers hoping to visit in the future. Additionally, just outside the campground boundaries there appeared to be a make-shift rifle shooting range with visible bullet holes in a target. Again, this made our visit highly unappealing and gave my fiancée and me an uneasy and overall sketchy feeling about the area and the campground on the whole. When we booked this site we were very excited that it was so close to Yosemite, but were ultimately put off by the whole atmosphere of the surrounding area and the campground itself. We ended up leaving the campsite before sundown and stayed in a nearby hotel in Oakhurst that had rooms available.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
