My husband and I have found Buckaloons campground delightful, the sites are always clean and ready. Very helpful staff and facilities very clean. We will continue to enjoy our visits there in the coming future trips.

Other than the insane amount of mosquitoes, everything was great. The bathrooms were kept exceptionally clean by the camp hosts and the rest of the facilities were well maintained. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful camp ground as well as having the facilities located in convenient spots around the grounds. Trail is nice to walk on a beautiful day. We have a great time every time we stay at Buckaloons!

This is the most peaceful large site and clean facility with great kayaking hiking and bike trail. Gas and grocery near by ..a hidden gem

We had a very private site. A green heron landed in a tree above us. First time we ever seen one of them.

Host was helpful and accommodating. Facilities were clean and well stocked.

Our 3rd annual visit to Buckaloons and once again, excellent. Ron, Karen, and Phoenix (camp hosts) did a phenomenal job of maintaining the facilities. Facilities infrastructure needs investment, but the big woods are spectacular.

Our campsite and the rest of the grounds was well maintained. The grass was cut and there wasnt any trash lying about. The bathrooms were clean every day we were there and the showers worked well and never ran out of hot water. The campground hosts were friendly and worked hard to provide a great experience while we were there. We would definitely back. Especially if we knew the same hosts were taking care of the campground.

love the campground & campsites,,,however, the bathrooms/ showers were really gross. showerhead was broken & "fixed" with duct tape. which did NOT fix the problem & was not able to adjust water temp. we have been camping here for several years and have noticed a gradual decline in the overall condition of campground. unfortunately, we will not be back next year. Allegheny site management needs to do better

Nothing to comment on

We stay at the group site every year for our annual kayak trip. We go in May because the creeks are usually high and this is a central location. Its also right off the Allegheny River so you can launch upstream and take out at camp. The facilities all well maintained but could definitely use an upgrade. I like that the group site has easy access to water and an outhouse. The only thing we dont like is there is no access to electricity at the group site. So make sure you pack plenty of power banks. Lots of wildlife, and beautiful scenery.

good place to camp

Really enjoyed the campground! Easy to navigate, small trails, beautiful scenery, quiet, and the host, Ron, and his wife, were amazing! There is a pit toilet, and 2 restrooms located within an easy walk. The Allegheny River is steps away and provides a beautiful backdrop for an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

We have been to Buckaloons before. We do enjoy the campground. The weather was terrible. Raining every day. Didnt spend much time outside at all. Our campsite 42 was so muddy we had to park our truck in an other site. We did watch the kids ride bikes and scooters. We went to the Chicken BarBQ at Clarendon Firehall. We went into Warren to the YMCAs book sale and Sugar Groves Boy Scout Yard Sale. We played cards and read good books. It really was a weekend for relaxing.

Very much enjoyed our stay and the facilities. A note of improvement: there were no regular checks on the bath houses or restocking of toilet paper during our 5 day stay.

Clean bath house and very quiet property. Will stop again!
@DennisD6330886 · Camped on Oct 10, 2023 at Campsite #35
The location is nice and the campsites are nice with good space. The bathroom facilities are limited. For instance, the immediate bathroom for the electric sites only have cold water. Additionally, one of the 2 toilets in the men's bathroom was out of order.

The Host Steve was nice and took real good care of the place. Hope to see him there again. There are close by stores. There is the Kinzue Bridge and the fall leaves.

We stayed overnight at Buckaloons during the week. Campsite was great and pretty private. We loved the campground and will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

The Buckaloons is such a wonderful place to stay. The facility is well cared for by the camp host. The host is a splendid and kind person and his cats are a joy to watch.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
