Beautiful campground right on the McKenzie. All the sites on the river loop are phenomenal but sites 15 & 16 are the gems.

This is a fantastic small campground with the lower sites right along the McKenzie. The bathrooms are primitive (vault toilets) but very clean. There is plenty of distance between sites and generous space within each site.

The campground has always been a favorite of mine. The location is beautiful. I had a great time. There were two problems that I noticed this time around that I had not noticed in the past. The bathroom on the upper loop was filthy and the odor made it impossible to use. The smell made it to the campsites. A lot of overflowing garbage was a problem as well. Otherwise, I had a nice time.

Amazingly beautiful location with easy access to hiking along the waterfall trail on the Mckinzie river. The bathrooms were pretty disgusting but since we are in fifth wheel is wasn't a big deal for us. There is a bit of road noise but not too bad.

Nice campground, close to Clear Lake and Sahalie Falls.

Pros: - close prox to sahalie, kosah and tamolitch falls- close to olallie creek-short drive to cougar reservoir and blue lake reservoir. cons:- no running water, campsites slightly close together- lower sites at risk of flooding- some sites not shaded from sun throughout day-never saw camp host and site was littered with trash when we arrived, granted it was right after 4th of July weekend. (plastic water bottles, toilet paper and eggshells in/around fire pit).Overall will not be returning to this site as there are plenty of better options in the area, mona/lookout/slide creek.

Lower loop sites are really amazing. The sounds of Olallie Creek and the McKenzie River are intoxicating. Upper loop is close to Hwy 126, traffic noise but really not bad. Upper loop has very nice pull throughs for RV's. Water from pump in lower loop is metallic tasting and off color. Hosts in June of 2023 were a great young couple, very attentive to the camp and the user experience.

BRING WATER! The hand pump requires muscle and brings up rusty water at best. No showers, cell service either. However, the river campsites are beautiful and spaced well apart. Solitude and sounds of rushing river water abound. Nearby hike to Blue Pool (3miles east- begins at Trail Bridge) is a delightful 4.5miles (RT) to see the incredible clear blue waters flowing into McKenzie River. Ollalie was a great place for a base camp to explore the McKenzie River valley.

Best camp hosts ever!! Best campsite, very peaceful. We will be back.

We love the campground. Be aware that the sites at the end of the loop back up to a deep ravine with fast water. Good to know if you have small kids. The water from the pump was safe but didn’t taste great and had sediment in it. Bring drinking water.

This is an awesome campground if you get one of the 5 sites on the river. It’s a great base camp with numerous hiking trails within a few minute’s drive and plenty of good fishing opportunities close by as well.

Very nice, clean campground. No internet (a major plus in our view). They don't sell campfire wood at this campsite, but the campsite host from another campground makes occasional rounds. We will definitely be back.

Great place to relax. Still cold at night in first week of May, high 20’s. Site water from pump looked dirty.

Camp spot was great, right by the river and also across from the bathroom and water. The negative was the loud periodic bangs and beeping I know its not really the campgrounds fault but a warning could have been nice and it put a damper in the tranquility of the outdoors. The campgrounds are all unique to the location they are on the river but are pretty good sizes and spaced out nicely, all are kept very clean and nice. If you don't mind the bangs and beeps it's a great place!

We love this area and campground. We have been visiting here since summer 2016. Completely off grid to tap out. Sites are great for tent camping on and near the river, but need more than basic leveling gear for RV/campers. Never a complaint for the 6 years we have visited and stayed. Sites and grounds are clean and maintained. Guests and neighbors are super respectful and quiet. Highly recommend this campground as also central to amazing hikes to falls, rafting, golfing, and food.

This was our first time staying at Olallie Campground and it was a great experience. The only knock I would say is that the highway is right next to some of the upper camp spots and the lower level ones are somewhat hard to get due to their appeal. The Olallie Creek was right behind our spot (#8) though so that added to the white noise quite nicely. The mosquito's were not an issue due to elevation and fast moving water in late July. Definitely a great campground to stay in if you are in the Eugene/ Springfield area and want to feel like you are sleeping in the forest.

The site (#12) was lovely but the bathroom was disgusting

This is a very beautiful place, privacy within our space. Though it might seem that the traffic noise is too loud, it was never an issue for us. Thank you!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
