Great campsite! We were in site 6, and it said non-reservable online which made us second guess our reservation. However, everything was great! It was fairly breezy, which helped keep the bugs down. Bugs were prevalent but manageable. Views were amazing!

The site was huge, pretty private and very roomy. Multiple places for tents to be set up, right on the lakefront if you wanted to swim or put in a kayak. We had neighbors, but it was wooded and secluded enough that it still felt private. Bring bug spray. Mosquitos were pretty bad, but manageable.

Mosquito's! Mosquito's! Mosquito's! There are a lot. Everyone in my party left with at least 30 bites and we were heavily applying deet on the regular. I read this in other reviews & didn't really believe it for some reason. With the mosquito's always on your mind; it was a great very large site with and amazing view of Mt. Washington. Water was incredibly clear & clean. The surrounding area has been pretty devastated by the recent fires of the past few years but along the lake there are still a lot of green trees. Everything considered I am not sure I will be back because of how bad the mosquitos were.

I love this campground! This site has a great view. The bathrooms were very clean during our stay and the camp hosts this year were so nice. My only complaint was the weather but obviously that’s not the campsites fault. It was snowing, windy, and hailing when we got there. The last few nights were beautiful, just several mosquitoes- which is expected in June.

This was our first time here, came towards the end of September and stayed at site 5; it was amazing. It wasn’t crowded which was nice, the campground was clean and well taken care of. The views were incredible.

It was noisy. Kids screaming to late at night. When I got there, workers were fixing a facet but had it running again before I left.

We were camping next to a huge ‘wedding’ happening. There were at least 40 people there. Campsite #2 They played music loudly all day and late into the night. It didn’t seem like anyone was enforcing the quiet time. Our trip was not great because of that. Otherwise, the site was clean and beautiful. Camp host was friendly. Bathroom well stocked considering the huge party happening.

Amazing lake, great for kids. Nice sandy beach and the water slowly gets deep. A lot of room for play. Camp spots were pretty cool with how you have the main area, picnic table/ fire pit. Then the tent spots branch off like their own little rooms. Not much shade. If you need shade like me, bring a canopy. The worst thing about this place is the mosquitoes. Oh my God. I read that there were mosquitos here, and I brought bug spray, had 5 good candles, and I bought 240 of those incense for outdoors nothing could keep them away. I'm not exaggerating when I say I easily walked away with 50 bites. They went through sweaters, jeans. Absolutely unbelievable, I've never experienced so many in my life. We went July 1-4. So maybe it's just the right time for them. Idk. I would love to go back, but we're discussing getting some sort of screening for our canopies, and have to be big enough for all of our family. Mid day was great, other than that you are a buffet.

We always love camping here. The scene is unbeatable. Being lake front is so special. The sites are large and the facilities are clean enough. The mosquitos are pretty bad though.

Love this campground. The sites are large and well spaced out. It was awesome to be right on the water. Site 10 has a smaller water access area than some of the others and has a steep trail to get down to the edge but was still easy enough for ourselves and young kids (4 and 7) to get down.

This campground is SO beautiful and the views of the lake and Mt. Washington are absolutely epic. The only reason I gave it a three stars this go around is because the mosquitos were really bad. Like they were out to play! If you're planning a trip here, make sure to bring real deet spray and some rain pants they can't bite through. I came home with 30+ bites on my legs. Definitely coming back though when the bugs aren't so intense!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
