Beautiful campground. Clean. Amazing atmosphere and location! Cool fresh air being up so high in elevation. My primary concern is serious though: the water from the spigots was non-potable and needed to be boiled before use. That was concerning so we were forced to conserve water or change dinner/cooking plans as a result of the contaminated water. I hope this is fixed before next season.

Very quant and lovely park. It would be nice if the broken handicap sink in the men's room was repaired as well as the second sink in the ladies room.

The Russell Pond Campground region is one of my favorite places in the world! Well kept and simple. It's almost the same now as it was in the 1970's, and that is what makes it great. My parents loved it, my siblings loved it and now my kids love it.

The campsite seemed nice at first glance but after a weekend there I dont think we will be returning. The bathrooms closest to us only had one working toilet and the showers were both out of service. After speaking to other people we found out every single shower except one was out of service. Additionally there was no sound insulation from the trees; you could hear every other campsite, even those decently far away.

Easy to find the campsite, which was located up some stairs into the forest. Felt much more private than a typical drive-in campground. Very level ground to set up tent and good fire pit.

The sites are nice. We had a site that was spacious and private. However the bathrooms are few and far between, requiring quite a walk from many sites, and in bad shape. We used two different bathrooms and found only 1 of 4 showers working and at least half the toilets and sinks out of order. They need significant attention.

A great campground to get away from it all. Very spacious secluded sites. Russell pond is a perfect kayak/paddle board spot. Nice little beach to sit and spot loons or eagles. The host was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back there.

We were up there several times this year. The bathrooms have not been fixed the entire summer. They are not enforcing the rules. They are not picking up trash that people leave around the pond. There was a tree that fell blocking half the road which was not taken care of for a week, I have been going up there for 50+ years and I feel this was the worst year of all of them

Great location. Very peaceful during the week. Was advised by other campers to avoid the weekends. Nighttime Loon music was a plus.

I could not find a working shower in the campground. Several sinks and toilets were out of service as well.

Excellent location, great facilities! It was nice to have a bathroom and sink, as well as the option to shower (you will need quarters FYI). The only caveat is that this place does not have a sink for dishwashing, but there were plenty of water spigots and we could wash at the campsite without a problem. The only challenge is that some groups were a bit loud in the evenings and did not respect quiet hours, so I would keep that in mind if you wanted a more quiet space to camp. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this campground.

The campsite was very nice. It was more secluded than I thought which was a positive. One of the showers was out of order, but another one was nearby. There is limited lake access and I thought it would have a bit more.

Wonderful campground. The pond is very nice and allow to swim after hiking as well as kids having fun. The only comments are the clean up of toilet and shower. I went there july 1, the shower for the service building in loop E was closed as well as 2 toilets out of 3. I went back the weekend of july 12 and it was still the same. this is unfortunate to see that nothing was done in 2 weeks to make it work.

Russell Pond has greatly declined over the recent years. Many showers throughout the campground were nonfunctional and closed. Some bathroom houses had only one functioning toilet, one functional sink and NO functional showers. It is a very sad state of affairs. All bathroom houses were in major need of interior painting on the floors and walls. Over half the floor had no paint at all and the walls were pealing. We've been going to Russell Pond for 20+ years and it has never been in such disrepair. Go at your own risk and don't forget to bring your own toilet paper, they run out often. The new management company is doing a horrible job.

Have camped at Russell Pond for the past 30-years. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom facilities have recently gone downhill. The sites are still in great shape but bathrooms need a major overhaul.

The campground is a bit out-of-the-way, but is a very pretty place. The two young site hosts where very friendly and helpful. But half the showers, toilets and sinks were out of order. At times, this was very inconvenient

At the sanitary bloc closest to the camp site, 1 of the 3 toilet & 1 of the 2 sink were closed in womens bathroom, and 2 of the 3 showers were closed, thankfully the camping was not full..!2.50 for shower (5 min)8.00 for wood at host site (cash only)No handsoap in bathroom There was no place to do the dishes..? I had never seen that before in camping that are not classified as "rustic" (i.e. camping with no water at all). It does not seems really environmental friendly to bring throwable dishes ? Otherwise, the camp site was really beautiful and quiet ! Close to multiple hike spots & scenic route

I love this place! This is my 4th year there.We did have a black bear visit one evening.That was quite the experience!But I will still return there.

Site and campground in general were very nice, but we needed quarters for the showers and the sign said we could get change at the host site, but there was never anyone at the host site to help us

Very private and quiet. Had a small stream and waterfall that is right outside your camper window. Amazing

On our most recent camping trip to Russel Pond we realized that our family has camped there for the last 50 years! And it still feels the same when we visit...quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms have been updated during that time which now include showers, a nice addition. This last trip brought back many fond memories of bike riding around the campground as kids and so much time swimming and fishing in the pond. The on-site host is also an added plus and it's always nice getting to know them and hear about their travels. My kids have taken their kids here and now we all come as kind of a camping reunion. We love it!

Beautiful, well-maintained campground. Restrooms and showers were clean. Pond is beautiful! Near several towns and fun things to do nearby.We had pulled into our campsite not knowing it was for "hike in". It would be very helpful to explain on the website the difference. It might be there somewhere....I didn't see it. Anyway, the first night it poured and it was miserable (not a camper here, so now "car camping".) Our car got stuck in the mud and muck and we could not get it out. The Hosts were exceptionally nice and helped my husband dig it out. Above and beyond their duty!!! Thank you hosts at E15!!! If you want to be deep in the woods where it's quiet, serene and peaceful.....this is your campground!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
