Good proximity to trails in the National Forest. Nice sites.

Campground is very clean. Out houses are kept extremely clean. CG host Mike is a super nice guy and was great to talk to. Took interest in what I was doing there at the campground and even asked how a hike of mine went. Close to so many great hiking trails and the village of Loon. Only downside is the you cannot hookup a hose to their water spigots to fill your fresh water tank in a camper. There is an unknown hookup at the water pump station but no sign for it.

Reserved sites #27 & #28 for 4 nights in July. These two sites share an access point so are best shared by members of the same party, although not necessary. You will be hauling gear up and down, so prepare for that. Site #28 is the more remote of the two. Parking is good for multiple cars. You will walk down a fairly steep hill for water and trash. Pit toilet is half-way down -- these are better than average, but will start to smell after a busy weekend. These sites are above and away from the toilets, which is something to pay attention to at this campground. We had an oversized tent and was just able to pitch it on site #28 to fit without getting too close to the fire pit. Fire pits were NOT the stupid round well, thankfully. There is an extra space on #28 back in the grass should you need to set up another tent. Overall site size was fine, just not as big as most drive-in sites. Road noise is minimal on these sites as they are the farthest from the Kanc. Other sites, not so much. No cell signal. Best sites at Big Rock as long as you can carry stuff up and down -- which is necessary for bear safety.

Well tended and clean. Plenty of downed wood and kindling as well as wood for sale.

Nice, clean sites. Right on the main highway but felt quiet and off the beaten path. Close to downtown Lincoln for food and such. Bathrooms were clean. Will be back.

Really liked this campsite. Very quiet and well maintained. Almost all the sites are well set up. But when reserving note where the toilets are. The sites right next to these are situated way too close.

Close proximity to the town of Lincoln is a big plus. Vault toilets clean and well maintained thanks to camp hosts.

We used Site #3 which was plenty big enough for our 22 foot trailer and plenty of space to back it in. A lot of space between the host, site 3 and site 4, which was nice and made it easy to use a small generator when needed without impacting neighbors. Easy distance to vault toilets and a water spigot. Not enough sun to make use of solar. Suggest site #4 for better solar experience. Camp host kept the camp and toilets very clean. Short distance to many hikes (e.g., Lincoln Woods) and the town of Lincoln/North Woodstock. Also just about 40 minutes to Conway and plenty to see/do hike wise on the road to Conway. Two great mountain lake kayaking locations within 1 hour (long pond and grafton pond). A couple local breweries and a few more in Conway. If you are using a camper, there is a dump station at the Mobil gas station in the town of Lincoln. Cheers!

When we arrived at the campground, our site was occupied (3 tents - nobody there) even with a reserved sign with my name on it. The campground hosts said they couldn't do anything until someone showed up. The campground was full. Campgrounds around were full. We waited from 4 to 9pm and noboody showed up so they can ask them to leave so we can have our site. The camp hosts were really nice altough they had limited possibilites. We finally spent the night at their site, having nowhere else to sleep with two young children. It was very frustrating because we were the ones getting punished but did nothing wrong. The campground hosts or rangers should have the power to remove people from reserved sites. And we never got a full refund for the fees we paid.

Wooded sites makes them feel isolated. This site is right next to an outhouse with hard closing/loud doors so you’ll hear that all night and light pollution from people coming/going. You’ll also hear every vehicle that passes on the Kancamagus & neighbor noise.

Great site, pretty isolated but close enough to bathrooms. Short walk to site. Camp host was closed every time we walked by, so we couldn’t get firewood which was frustrating.

We had an amazing trip. The campground is near a bunch of trails and attractions in the white mountains. Would definitely stay again.

Big Rock was a small campground- we stayed at campsite #3, which had a long driveway and was unexpectedly private considering the proximity to other sites. There were several sites in the campground that offered ample privacy. Site #3 is very close to the bathroom but not so much that you lose privacy. We did not have cellular service at Big Rock, but did have access to cell service in the town of Lincoln, 8 minutes away. There was nothing particularly memorable about this campground and we did not stay there for an extended period of time, as we were just passing through. Our van fit well and the site was level. The highway is very close and therefore very loud, but it quiets down at night. Campsite #3 is directly across from the big rock for which the campground is named, so this is a feature that kids might enjoy. The remaining sites mostly appeared to have decent privacy and ample space. Though we did not have a chance to utilize them, the tent sites at Big Rock look to be exceptional, deeper into the woods and offer a view of the river, and are probably better than the RV sites.

It was exciting especially when a bear broke my storage bin and leaned on me in my tent. Lol. It was a clean campground and attendee was excellent!

Great campsite but the vault toilets were unusable. They were full of mosquitoes and seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned in a month.

Good location relative to nearby activities but too close to the busy road. Well cared for.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
