Level sites, close to hiking trails, provisions available within a mile of the campground, and only 30 minutes from Franconia Notch. Mad river runs adjacent to the campground, providing beautiful white noise to aid in a peaceful nights sleep.

A lovely site, next to the Mad River. Water is available from a hand pump, but it tasted strongly of iron.

We have been coming here for 5 years and love it. Quiet, plenty of space/ trees between sites. Great access to the Mad River and trails in the Valley. George, the site manager, is lovely and always friendly and helpful. We are a climbing family and its just a 25 min drive to Rumney.

Beautiful campground. Traffic noise is kind of a bummer but it’s not too bad. Only complaint was the over hanging trees in so many of the sites. No problems in a tent but problematic with a travel trailer. Fingers crossed it will get trimmed back as we really like this campground.

Perfect spot to access hikes in the Waterville Valley area as well as restaurants and shopping. Host was very personable and helpful. My reserved site was accidentally taken by another camper, but I was happy to move to another site as I was only staying for one night, no issue for me. He insisted on refunding half of my fee as well as the extra car charge for the mix up. Clean, large, wooded sites. Campground was silent after 10pm which was perfect for us since we were getting up early to hike. Will definitely be back.

The camp host was outstanding. He was personable and gave advice about climbing Mount Washington that proved to be invaluable. The site was next to a stream that wonderful to listen to at night.

This is a campground where the host keeps a tight ship and there are no roudys partying all night. Nice sites and clean pit toilets.

Great spot for a weekend trip. Access to amazing hikes and plenty of other things to in the area.

Lovely campground with easy access to the Waterville Valley resort. We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night in July. Saturday night was full, Sunday night was nearly empty. On our bikes, the entire resort was easily accessible. But at night at our quiet campsite, we felt like we were miles away. Next time we will stay mid-week for three or four nights. Sites are large and private. Overall setting is heavily wooded with large trees. One major problem: The water is nasty. The info signs claim it is potable, but the color of the water is orange (heavy iron content) and quite unpleasant. Bring plenty of water.

Highly recommend this place in leaf peeping season. You get to see the foliage colors and hike the White Mountains without the crowds typically seen at the Kancamagus. The campground sits close to the Waterville Valley town square with easy access to good food, music, coffee, and more. While the amenities are rather simple, the campsites are well maintained and very spacious. In addition to the view and the location, another big consideration is fact that this place is dog-friendly.

We had a lovely time at Waterville in August of 2021. It's a small quiet rustic campground with access to the river. George, The Host, was very friendly and accommodating. The sites are well sized and have enough distance between neighbors for privacy. We had a beautiful time and it's a beautiful area for hiking and to enjoy the beautiful nature of New Hampshire.

The campground is nicely located, well laid out, with very clean bathrooms. We just happened to catch a day that was quieter so that was a plus.

Very nice campground with plenty of things to keep you busy. . Surrounded by rivers and streams for relaxing. A short walk along the path brings you to Waterville center where you will find several restaurants, small stores and occasionally live entertainment.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
