Really kind hosts. Location is really nice since its close to towns and a lot of the trailheads on zealand rd and the northern whites. Just a heads up, campsites are a little closer to each other compared to other campgrounds in the whites and there are no sinks with soap to wash in the toilets. But that didnt bother us, we love the rustic feel and we love interacting with our camp neighbors :)

My favorite campground.

Great campgroundclean and well-maintained. However, I faced difficulties contacting the campground hosts. After vehicle issues delayed my check-out, I tried reaching the hosts but found no direct contact information online. Neither Recreation.gov nor the White Mountain HQ could provide it. Eventually, the White Mountain HQ contacted the management contractor, who then reached the hosts, but this was a lengthy process. Providing the host's contact information after booking would prevent such issues and streamline communication.

Great clean campsite. Easy check-in and check-out. Personable on site managers.

This site was nice but site 18 looked like the best one. Zero service. Quiet and peaceful. Easy to get to hikes to summits.

Camp is in nice shape. Cell phone service is spotty. Zealand road is in rough shape, but they were working on it the week I was there.

Peaceful spot!

The campsite we booked was occupied when we arrived and without cell service and an onsite camp caretaker we didnt know what to do. We ended up taking a different site but it caused us a bit of concern.

I love this Campground. That being said the road in, is it Zealand? Is an absolute disaster! Bad enough I likely won't be back. The campground itself it private, wooded and wonderful, but we leave to explore in the van everyday and coming down that road twice each day is too much sadly.

Checkin was so easy - just show up and start setting up. Camp host came by to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. Very quiet, very pleasant, great hiking in every direction. Note that parking in Zealand Falls lot requires a pass - get one before you go. When you get there, you can pay by dropping an envelope in the slot, but they don't tell you how much it is, nor do they provide pens.

The campground is a beautiful site with large sites for the most part that are very rustic . The area is well maintained and the sites are always neat and clean. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked.The area is usually quiet and helps create the camping atmosphere. The caretakers who work there are very friendly and helpful. Dawn and Jimmy create an atmosphere that not only makes it a great place to stay but also encourages campers to return to the area.

The road is might be dammaged by all the rain this summer.

We had a great stay at this campground. The sites were large and spread out. The roads were fine for driving through with my camper and tow car. The bathrooms were clean. We will likely stay here again.

My trip was to Sugarloaf 2 was great. The campground is well maintained, clean and a beautiful setting. The facilities are always kept clean and each the sites are always in good condition. The hosts that at the campground are very welcoming and make the experience a positive one. I have visited this site before and continue to return because of the great atmosphere , the hosts who make you feel welcome and are willing to assist in anyway. It is also a beautiful area and has great hiking trails for people of all abilities.

This is a very basic campground with little to no services but we enjoyed our stay. Only negative is the roadway in was in terrible shape but we took it slowly. Quiet, small and rustic.We loved the spacing of the sites and the sound of the river. No cell coverage but we expected that so it wasnt a problem.

Good camping site, clean toilets, many water points, quiet. Beautiful hiking trails close by.

Enjoyed staying at site # 7. Would have given it 5 stars but for the occasional odor from the nearby privy when the breeze was coming from the wrong direction. Very pretty area. Lots of great hiking. Campsites are a generous size. Potable water is very convenient.

Campground isnt being taken care of, outhouses are not very clean and are overdue for pumping. Lots of fallen trees left. Ive been camping here for 46 years and this is the worst condition Ive seen it in. The road to the campground is hazardous to pass on.

SugarLoaf 2 is conveniently located near many trailheads and the AMC Highland Center making it easy to do amazing hikes during your stay. The campground was quiet and has easy access to the river, for a post-hike dip!

By far my favorite campground in the world. Hosts are excellent and do a great job with every detail of the campground. Bathrooms are spotless and is one of the hidden gems of the White Mountains.

We were there through a very rainy period so our experience was not perfect but the campground was just fine. Close to a great hike up Sugarbush as well as the Mount Washington Hotel where you can hang out in the rain if need be! Primitive with vault toilets which some of our group were a little put off by but they got over it.

The campground was real nice, especially in that the sites were WELL-spaced! One significant improvement would be repaving, or at least repairing, the road going into the area.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
