Great camping experience!.. wish there was a fast pass to get in before 3pm. Most of the day is gone before you can setup and enjoy camping

Great campaign ground, we really enjoyed our spot with the river running behind us.

Everything was great, but the toilets could have been alot cleaner.

We recently stayed at this campground and had a fantastic experience. The hosts did an excellent job of maintaining the campground. They were friendly and approachable, always ready to assist with any questions or needs. The vault toilets were kept clean and serviceable, which was a big plus. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the campground made our stay very comfortable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a well-maintained and welcoming camping spot!

Great camping site with a lot of trees and safe places to set up your tent, the host was really friendly and answered all of our questions. I will definitely return next year.

We love our annual tubing overnight at Perception Park! Super nice management, and the site is our favorite campsite ever. Thank you!

The camp host, Sonny, was very interested in making certain the camping experience was a favorable one. He is very pleasant and always available to answer questions or take care of concerns. The camp ground is very well kempt and maintained.

Perception Park was a lovely place! WCCU site is across from two other pavilions next to the river. We had a large group of around 50 people. The pavilions have lighting now. Bathrooms didn't smell bad, plenty of toilet paper. Would suggest bringing sanitizer or soap to wash hands. There is a water faucet available - you can even drink it! :D The camp host was very helpful and generous/laid back. We used our own firewood. We were still talking and laughing until 1:30 am. No one seemed disturbed or said anything. There is a volleyball area and there was a net on it - it's located down the trail. The horseshoes are inside the WCCU site. Lots of tall trees and gnarly ones too. Very nice paved trail system. River access was great - and pretty. We watched tubers go by. The water was very cold - would not recommend lounging in it - you could get hypothermia. But wading in it for a few minutes was okay. We don't recommend getting groceries at the gas station at the base of the canyon - prices are twice as much as the grocery store. Don't bring your 4-wheeler - not appropriate at this site. Perception is simply a beautiful, pleasurable site to camp. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely consider it again! Don't forget your tubes. ;)

The general conditions of the site were pretty good. There were some pretty big holes that had been dug that would have been nice to see filled in. The campsite boundaries weren’t very clear so we were unsure what all was our site. A site map would have been nice. More than once people tried to use part of our site as a day site without approval because it wasn’t marked. The bathrooms were horrendous! I have been camping a lot in my life so I know what to expect with those kinds of bathrooms and those were the worst I have ever been in. They were filthy with toilet paper everywhere and poo smeared all over the toilet seats. And the smell…..I wouldn’t have expected it to smell nice in there but this was more than awful. I was gagging each time I had to go in there. So bad and the biggest reason for my low rating.

The camp host, Sonny, was fabulous. He went above and beyond to check on my group, make sure we were having a good time, and also tried to make sure our time at the local reservoir, Causie, was a good time as well. He was awesome.

It is a amazing camp ground. The bathrooms we really dirty especially the men's and were not cleaned the entire weekend.

This is a great camp ground. The camp sites and roads are paved which makes it nice. Less dust. The sites are easily marked. You can tube down the river from the camp ground. There is also some water stations you can use if you’re tent camping. It is on the road so you will get some street noise. We enjoyed staying there.
@MichaelB697476 · Camped on Aug 24, 2022 at Campsite #1
The road Wes nearby and noisy. Much more traffic than I expected. The campground also seemed rundown. The fire pit was crumbling, etc.
@BeckieB4740086 · Camped on Aug 18, 2022 at Campsite #13
This is a beautiful campground. It’s in need of some maintenance and attention. If you can ignore all the work that needs to be done, you’ll love the trees, the walking path along the river, and being in these incredible mountains.

We got there on Friday evening. This was the only time we saw the camp host. And that was only because there was a mix up with our names not being on the site we reserved. It wasn’t a big deal and we ended up trading sites with another group. You can buy wood from the host for $8 a bundle. This seems expensive to me. The site was fine, although a little close to the ones around us. It had a picnic table, fire pit, and a charcoal grill. There was plenty of room for a large tent. The camp is right off Hwy 39. So you hear traffic all night long. (Saturday night traffic wasn’t quite as bad) The river runs along the south side of camp. There were people with tubes going down the river with several entrances and exits along a paved trail. So bring a tube and your swim suit! I’m not sure what was going on in the bathrooms. The ones near us had three stalls. And somehow, someone had gone into every stall and smeared poop all over the seat and shot gunned it on the lid. Like seriously, what is happening here?! My husband said the men’s ones were just as bad. Since the campsites were so close it was hard to find a private spot to pee near the camp. So you were kind of forced to use these disgusting bathrooms. Why didn’t the camp host clean this up?! For the most part it was families enjoying the great outdoors. Of course there is always that one campsite that decides to stay up late playing music, talking loudly, and then at about 1:30am, someone was puking very loudly. Luckily at some point in the night it started to rain and they eventually passed out somewhere. Again, where is the camp host to enforce the quiet hours? After the previous two nights of little sleep, Sunday morning, we weren’t the only ones packed up and leaving by 8:30 in the morning.

I have been going to Perception Park since I was a baby. Over the years the camp has decayed and not been kept up. I don't mind paying the fees, but why is the money not going back into the up keep of the camp. Fun place. River is always good times.

Had a great time on the river. Very few bugs, no rodents other than a muskrat along the river. Great weather, lots of shade, very enjoyable.

Our camp host Sonny was the BEST, he went out of his way to make things work out for our stay, he was nice, helpful and communicated well. He is top class when it comes to camp hosts. We enjoyed the camp site, loved the location and the river was so much fun, the riverside path makes it so easy to put tubes in and take out. The place was clean, quiet and the layout of the campground is perfect for small or large groups.

We did have to move with the shade, but we loved having such close access to the river. We can't wait to come back!

We choose this camp area because my wife is handicapped. The paved road and walking path are very nice for her electric wheel chair. I like the location for fly fishing access. The camp host was pleasant.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
