We stayed in one of the Yurts, which was very nice, because the camping area was more spacious than the other camp sites. The beds were comfortable.

Great place just to rest and relax, or bring water crafts and enjoy the lake.

We love Anderson Cove, except for a couple things. 1) years ago they redid a lot of the area, but for the life of anyone who I know, we dont get why they didnt put in flush toilets! You can smell them all over the campground! Disgusting to go into and use. The worse is trying to sit a child on a toilet and have them not touch every gross thing while not falling in. The flies were terrible too, which is usual. Seemed full/needed emptying the whole time we were there. Would have been nice to have showers also added. I know general RV hook ups are out of the question, but they should look into if these things could be added. 2) why not add finished/cemented or asphalt trails down to the beach? There are already trails, but made from people getting to the beach, but to carry beach items, its quite a feat. We have wagons to get things there, and its always difficult. It wouldnt be much to add decent trails. People with young kids or the elderly trying to get to the beach can be a challenge or even dangerous. To spend the day there people need to haul shade, coolers, chairs, etc. We need decent trails. The campground is pretty full on the regular and is difficult to get a reservation, and now to get a site last minute, now theres people standing around waiting to see if they got a place that night. It seems they wouldnt be hurting for funds. Why not pay the loyals back by updating these items. PLEASE!! Other than that, this is our yearly family spot to camp. Love the workers, always friendly. Love the beach at Pineview. Love that the campground spots have shade. PS, you may as well let dog on the beach, they are always there anyway.

The staff were great but the bathrooms and grass were horrible!! I have used tons of out houses in my day but these bathrooms were the worst. You could smell them so strong that it would burn your nose!! The grass was all dead.
@KENTH9296979 · Camped on Jul 30, 2024 at Campsite #11
Campsites are well developed, large, and plenty of shade. Boat ramp access to the reservoir is great. Staff is always friendly. The only negative I can think of is they only have pit toilets.
@WhitneyJEBDE10 · Camped on Jul 25, 2024 at Campsite #52
The campground was beautiful! Our site was maintained. The bathrooms were the absolute worst I have ever been in cleanliness and smell wise. Im no stranger to dump toilets. There was feces smeared on the floor in one.

I had booking in for two nights. When we arrived the man at the counter was rude and really didnt care what we had to say. You cant have dogs at the beach. The grass was so dry you couldnt even walk on it in bare feet. We arrived and decided to leave. Just didnt get a good vibe.

I love this campground right on the water of Pineview Reservoir. There are sites that look directly out over the water and there is a beach area. There is a little store on site that I just discovered had free coffee. What a nice touch! The sites are nice and level and most have some shade during the day. The only con of this and other campgrounds is the check-in time (3:00) and check-out time (12 Noon). You get there late in the afternoon to set up and have to start packing up in the morning if you only have one night. Also, online this was the only site I could book and only for one night, however, sites all around me were empty the night I was there.

The cancellation policy is confusing. The info on one section of recreation.gov contradicts info on another section. Wording needs to changed or added so people know that a yurt site is considered like a cabin as far as the cancellation policy goes. The people that camped right by us were talking and laughing very loudly a couple of hours past quiet hour. I complained to the camp host who asked them to be quiet. About one hour later they got loud again, which was about 2:00 am. We left our camp on time and left it clean but we didnt get our deposit back for more than four weeks and that required many phone calls to recreation.gov and to Anderson Cove to get that accomplished. Bad experiences abounded.

We ended up arriving late and Ron, the camp host, was very accommodating in getting us to our yurt. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the people who where hosting the camp ground.The lake was warm and fun to play in.
@EmilyW1064864 · Camped on Jul 6, 2024 at Campsite #45
Staff were abrasive, lights in toilets were broken and there was trash all over the ground, fire pit cooking grate in our campsite was missing. Water was easy to access but likely will not stay here again due to unkindness of staff and condition of amenities.
@RyanM4917925 · Camped on Jun 29, 2024 at Campsite #112
Bring a tablecloth. The staff does tidy up, but they don't seem to have time to be thorough. Trash lines the trails and campground perimeters. Come prepared to clean the grill if you intend to use it.We had a fun time overall, but if we chose to return it'll be with subdued expectations.

Pleasent camp. Our site was wonderful. It was flat and very clean. Access to the lake by foot was great. Restrooms clean and always stocked. the staff were wonderful. Our fire pit did not have a grate and we talk with one of the workers and they got us a grate to use while we were there. There were a lot of other people at this campground while we were there but there quite time was observed and have no complaints. It did not feel crowed for the amount of people there. We are planning to come back to this camp again.

The site was clean and ready for our arrival. We had a great experience with the Utah Rec people ensuring quiet hours were enforced and the other guests seemed respectful of others. We went Tues-Thurs so that probably helped the quiet and busyness levels. We had a great time! The only things I didn't care for was the grass on site was really just weeds which wasn't very soft or pleasing to look at and our campfire's concrete ring was very damaged and could use repairs. Other than that, bathrooms were nearby and clean which was a plus and we had a fantastic time! We will be back.

We camped for a night and with lakefront views. Camp host's were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. We come to Pineview for the beach or day use often but never to Anderson Campground. 10/10 Some things to keep in mind: 1.There are so many spiders here, they are just garden spiders, but they are ~everywhere. 2.Toilets are vaulted which means they aren't 'flushable' - still super comfy to use even my young children didn't mind using them. 3.Water levels have rised in the last decade so this time around there was little to no 'beach' area near our site. You can always drive to Pineview beach which is a quick 10-minute drive but you will have to pay $25.00 (totally worth it) We enjoyed our stay here and would do it again :)

We were in B loop, closer to the road and it was SO LOUD with cars & motorcycles driving by 24/7. Do NOT book a site close to the road. Beach access was difficult and very, very limited space. It was not worth bringing the kayak because getting in and out of the water with all the wakes from the boats & jet skis racing by made it unenjoyable. If I came back, I would only bring innertubes to float on. It's nice they have a general store but it's very expensive for wood and ice. Overall, the park was very clean, bathrooms were clean & well stocked. And everyone was nice.

It's a very nice location on the lake and close to a very nice small town. It was clean and well laid out. I really like coming here.
@DanielG12CE9DB · Camped on May 17, 2024 at Campsite #ANDA1
The site was great, albeit a little lumpy for tents. There is plenty of space and a good Volleyball court and Pavilion. Downsides are that it is right above a dock, which is good but also there was a lot of transient traffic walking through the site and parking in the group lot. Though there is an outlet at the pavilion they will not turn the power to it on.

Absolutely beautiful views. Clean site. Great facilities. Just know it overlooks the water, but sits on a cliff side that requires some navigating
@LisetteWB6ECFE · Camped on Sep 1, 2023 at Campsite #2
Campground is overpriced for whats included, water and pit toilets. (no hookups, no flush toilets, no Showers) Ive camped in plenty of places with only pit toilets but this campground smells horrible all day and night. For the fees they are charging, Anderson Cove should be investing in at least flush toilet facilities for the size of this campground. I booked a double site for 4 nights (not cheap) so I could trailer myBoat in it too and was still charged a $100 boat launch fee. They blame/claimWeber county is charging to use their water, which is probably a small amount of that fee. $5 for a bag of ice. Price gouging on everything here and not worth the prices. Unfriendly/unhelpful ladies working at the check in gate, I believe they dont like questions. Pineview is a beautiful reservoir but this campground is a rip off and I would not return.

We love this campground. We camp here at least three times during the summer. Its dry camping with pit toilets but as long as you go expecting that its fine. Its a quick drive from our home and that makes it nice when you forget something. Cell phone service is great with AT&T if you work remotely like we do. If you can go anytime Sunday-Thursday its much less crowded. The campsites are a good size. Most sites accommodate a tent or RV or even both. Decent shade put bring a shade shelter, its always good to have more shade. Blacktop roads so the kids/ you can all bike to their/your hearts content. Fire pits vary from site to site. Some have grill grates and some do not. But Im pretty sure they all have one. Bring your own firewoods because the bundles sold at the store are pricey! Also, bring cash if you want to stop in for a treat (ice cream / soda etc) its been our experience that sometimes their debit card processor goes down. The only sites I would not recommend are the sites in the road area. In my opinion the sound from the nearby road is pretty distracting. Although one of those campsites is better than no campsite at all. The lakes water was super full from our wet winter so this summer had hardly any beach. But our latest trip at the end of August was awesome. Plenty of beach and hardly anyone in the campground! Bring your kayaks (dont forget your life jackets), sand toys, blow up floats and enjoy!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
