We have camped at Lodgepole for years. We love it. It is clean and for the most part most people camping there as well are very respectful and follow the rules. We especially liked the camp hosts this year. Tina and Erik were AMAZING!! Like I said we have camped at this campsite for years and these two have been our favorite by far! I truly hope that next year when we come back, because we will, we have Tina and Erik again! :)

Camp grounds were nice and clean the camp host was nice, but you never know if the water is going to work or not

One of the best sites I've ever stayed at. The camp host was awesome, site was clean and pretty, best campground bathrooms I've ever used

The camp ground was perfect for our family The host was amazing and really cared about making sure we were taken care of and had a nice time. The bathrooms were clean and care for daily. Highly recommend this group site for privacy and for the hospitality the host provides

Been going here for years. Clean facilities, lots of shade, semi-secluded camp sites, hiking trails. Always relaxing to stay at lodge pole

We really like this campground, but we go early in the year and the last two times there hasn't been running water. If I had a complaint it's that the dump station is not free to paying campers. This is the only campground we regular that has a paid dump station. I get that you can't have a free dump station below all the disbursed camping up by strawberry, you would be overrun.Why not a voucher for paying campers??

Site was clean and as shown on recreation.gov. Camp hosts were very personable, friendly and helpful. We love staying at Lodgepole. Campsite is close to Strawberry Reservoir, Heber City, and Midway. Many places to see close by.

Lodgepole was clean and I loved the woodsy smell. The managers/caretakers were friendly and helpful. Its not too far from Heber if you really need anything, and close to fishing. Theres great hiking throughout the campground.

A pretty campground with lots of trees. When making the reservation, there was a note about noise from the nearby road but it was so much louder than I thought it would be. The water also wasn't working but we weren't warned about that.

Lodgepole is always so beautiful. Downside, the bathroom are not working, and there is no accessible water. The port-a-potties were pretty disgusting the first day we were there but were cleaned later that afternoon.

Loved the site! Had a ton of room and lots of trees!

Other than the location being close to a well-traveled highway so the sound of trucks etc., was somewhat constant.... it was beautiful, clean and lovely on every level.

This is a great campground. It's a beautiful area, the camp hosts were great, and we appreciate the on-site dump station. There is some road noise from the highway, but it wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

Host checked in regularly and keep things tidy.

The water was not working again when we got there and they never said anything about that went they sent out reminder e-mails about the trip and that would have been a very good time to let people know they had no water

The campground managers at Lodgepole were AMAZING so my 1 star review has nothing to do with them. They did everything possible to be helpful and make for a great stay. I reason for the 1 star review is that the National Forest Service has decided to not repair/renovate the bathrooms and instead of at least having vault toilets for people to use they have brought in Porta Potty's which are hot, smell terrible and are not great for use. This has been a problem for multiple years now. In addition to the Porta Potty's there was no water at Lodgepole. I understand that things happen and repairs need to be made but if you are not going to provide WATER and at a minimum vault toilets, you should be charging a much lower fee. The fees are extremely high for the facilities that were provided. Other campground without water will charge $10-$15 per day. Until the National Forest Service decides to repair the facilities, Lodgepole shouldn't be more than this rate. We were lucky enough that they were able to get running water to the dump station by the day we left, so we were able to use that facility, which was great. PLEASE invest in this property, repair what needs to be fixed or LOWER the per night cost to better represent the facilities that are being provided.

no water at this campground.

Lots of noise all night long. This was posted in the details of the camp site but we didn’t realize how bad it would be. Not a very fun experience to be in nature and still feel like you’re in the city.
@RDBE18A712B750 · Camped on Jun 11, 2023 at Campsite #18
Great campground! The sites were spread out, lots of trees and vegetation, flush toilets and clean bathrooms, hiking trail that we used with leaves from the campground which was awesome to hike. You can hear the traffic on the road in the distance.
@HilaryM4175977 · Camped on Jun 7, 2023 at Campsite #5
This was a very nice campground, sites are well spaced, and it’s very scenic. There is a fun trail that starts right at the campground. It isn’t maintained very well, but still manageable. The only drawback of this campground is it’s located right off the highway, so there is noise from the traffic above.

Lodgepole is a preferred campground for us going/from Colorado. BUT we have been unable to "make it" a couple times in the last few years. This year we got out of Reno late and ended up staying in Salt Lake. Last year on the return trip we actually had a reservation at KOA in Vernal, but it was just TOO HOT. The hosts at Strawberry were kind to offer us an overflow site and MUCH cooler temps. Lodgepole is a lovely campground - we just have trouble getting there!
@CameronT552F42 · Camped on Jun 2, 2023 at Campsite #4
One of our favorites. Usually make it there in June. Always rains one of the days and we always are glad we came. This year there was no potable water and the sites hadn't been pressure washed for the spring. Understandable given the late snowpack.
@MichelleS85055 · Camped on Jun 2, 2023 at Campsite #33
Great little getaway. This campground is near a highway, so beware there are car noises. Otherwise pretty scenery. Good for a weekend outing.
@LeighW2244392 · Camped on Aug 26, 2022 at Campsite #14
We had an amazing time. The bathrooms were clean, the site hosts were extremely nice, and there was plenty of distance between sites. We will definitely be back next year!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
