We spent the last 4 nights (10/29-11/1/2024) here at Oak Park on Navarro Mills Lake near Corsicana, TX site #25. Its a waterfront site with 30A and water. Not the most level site but manageable. This is a really nice park with some FHU and some 50A with water along with the 30A and water. The 50A are not reservable. The restrooms, which are private, got cleaned Monday after a busy weekend as well as the private showers. Havent seen anyone cleaning them but that one day. Theres plenty of shade and lots of squirrels to watch and some deer. The camp hosts are friendly, helpful and first rate. Wed definitely like to come back at some point. Although most of the campsites were flooded this last spring with the lake level 18 feet over pool the entire park does not show what could have been devastating.

Oak is one of our favorite parks. However, there were dogs running around without leashes. I had a dog come over into our site and my dog (on a leash) ran towards her and jerked me to the ground, skinning my knees. We go through great pains to make sure our dogs are properly restrained. I expect the same from other guests. The leash policy should be inforced.

We expected the table covers to be under maintenance. They alerted us prior to arriving. They were finished and the sites were great. We had friends in the next spot and had a great time. Park was in excellent shape.

Clean Campground. Not far off the highway. There are shaded spots and covered picnic tables.

The bathhouse has clearly been neglected and sorely needs updating. The ants were a constant problem, as were hornets and spiders . It probably should not be a place for tents at all. The lake is lovely, the staff was great. It just seems like it is a place that can not decide if it is for day activities only, or wants to provide overnight RV type accommodations. It needs some love.

The weather was nice and our campsite was close to the water.

We had a wonderful time at Oak Park. We think the only thing that would have made it better would be to have full hookups at the 50amp sites. The gate personnel were both friendly and helpful. The only walking trail, Alliance Creek Trail, has a large tree down across the trail just beyond the iron bridge. We'd love to return and complete the trail. Thank you for a most relaxing 4 days!

I have been coming there for many years. The bathrooms between 8 and 9 used to be so clean. For the past 3 years they stay full of spiders and webs. So bad you can't sit on the toilet with one touching you.They used to power wash them every morning. And cleaned them now I hate even walking in there. Please clean those bathrooms a good power wash would do wonders.

Nice and peaceful. Camp sites were clean and well maintained. All the bathrooms were clean except the one at the swimming area. Next to campsite 9

We had a Peaceful & quiet stay. Nice breeze comes through site #10. bathrooms/shower house could use a little TLC. Boat ramp and fishing pier still closed due to the previous flood from weeks of rain. Overall we had a pleasant stay. We will be back in October.

Nice pavillion and great place! No too many trees for shade but it was still a nice spot! We enjoyed it!

We always love visiting Oak Park. The campsites and bathrooms are always clean. However, the canopy at our campsite (#47) was missing a board which allowed water and debris from the trees to fall down next to the table. A couple of other boards were rotten and it won't be long before the space is even larger. We also see that canopies have not yet been put up on sites 42 and 43. These are sites we like but will not reserve while there is no canopy. And though the grass wasn't really tall, it could have used a mowing around the sites. Again, we love Oak Park and will be back there in July.

Campsites in some areas are very close together. Went to Rest Room after Clean Up Personnel and they did a very poor job, they were in each rest room unit about 5 minutes, they left wet, dirty floors and live and dead bugs all over the walls and floor. Very poor private contractor and very poor park supervision.

My family had a wonderful visit to see the 2024 Eclipse. We got a great view! The campsites are close to the lake and well kept. The booking site warns of ants. We did see a few mounds but they were not a problem. The sites are large and have electricity and water. Theyre perfect for tents or small RVs. I would prefer a little more privacy between sites but it wasnt a big deal. We would definitely go back if we are in the area.

We came for the eclipse, it was just awesome! This is our favorite park, nice, clean, and quiet.

This is a great little park. Lots of shade, decently private sites, close to Corsicana. Active boat ramp. We will be back. Best part is with our senior access pass; $12 per night.

We had the best time watching the eclipse at this park. The park hosts were some of the nicest we have ever met. The sites are a little unlevel but overall, great park!!

We had a wonderful experience at your lovely park (Oak Park). We were there to watch the Total Solar Eclipse. It went very well. The campsite was perfect, trees around for shade and nature but also an open area to see the eclipse. We will be coming back. So glad we found this park that is fairly close to home.

I loved the large sites, the views of the lake and the peaceful surroundings. The hosts were very kind and helpful. My only complaint was that the women's shower was crumbling and lots of spider webs. I know it's a matter of budget for the bad tiles, but the spider webs (with its residents) really need to go.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
