We always go there, and it's lovely to be so close to a family of deers growing each year Daddy Buck and Moma Deer and 9 children dancing around us. Cool morning breeze and fit full dark night in the trees. Enjoying every bit of it. Thank you thank you thank you

We lived our stay at Hickory Creek. The camp hosts were incredible, the facilities were well cared for and the location was close to Dallas.

This is a beautiful park, wildlife everywhere in close proximity to a major metropolitan area. Lots of dear, ducks, geese, and squirrel. Unfortunately not many fish during my stay LOL. There are many park hosts and while the park and grounds are beautifully kept, the shower and restroom facilities are terribly lacking in maintenance and cleanliness. This was the only reason I was unable to give a five star rating.

We have stayed at a different site in each of our 4 visits to Hickory Creek. Each one has been unique in its own way and very enjoyable. What a beautiful park and so close for everyone in the Metroplex!!

Nice park that is close to the metroplex, it the COE has let it run down. The bathrooms that I went to had 2 of the 3 toilets marked out of order and the only one that was open the latch was broke on the door not allowing you to close the door.

Hickory Creek Road is a wonderful RV Park. I live in the DFW area and try to spend 5 or 6 days a month at HC to keep my rv running well. The sites have plenty of room and relative privacy. There are dozens of lake views and plenty of shade. AND if youre over 62 (Im 70) and have an Interagency pass, you can stay for half-price. There are parks not nearly this nice that run $60 or more per night. Yes those parks have sewer at each site but HC is still a bargainand a gem. And the guard house staff are helpful and friendly, with a special shout-out to Debbie. Will H

We have stayed at Hickory Creek several times. We had an excellent site. Our neighbors were not close. We would certainly stay there again.

This is a nicely maintained campground, predominantly for RV camping. I am a tent camper, so the camp sites are much larger than needed. I wanted to camp in the remoter spots, but they are closed for some reason. They have well maintained pathways, if you like blacktop hiking. The geese were great. I though the Canadiens were having an amphibious landing the second morning there, but it was just a company of Canadien geese! Assertive geese! I did not feed them, and they retreated after about 30 minutes. Good stay overall. I'll be back in the spring.

Hickory Creek park was quiet, nicely maintained, and my site had a lovely view of the lake. Plenty of trails and lots of available trash dumpsters.

Nice park but the bathrooms are subpar.

This was a great park, and I had a campsite close to the water where I could use my kayak.My bad experience was concerning the ladies' restroom/shower house that served Campsite #24. Out of four bathroom stalls, only 2 were working. At one point, the 2 handicap toilets were either not working or the floor was covered with water. There were multiple shower stalls, but all but one were closed. It was a very nice bathhouse, and would have been great if everything was working and no yucky water to have to walk in.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
