I took my 2 girls (7 & 9) for one night and they loved it. We have been to Murrell/Hippy point 3 times and its always fun exploring the lake shore. Its nice to have a covered picnic table, fire pit and charcoal grill. There are plenty of activities ( kayaking, standup paddle boarding, etc) to do around the lake, but we usually just play near the camp site. Will definitely visit again since its close to home in Euless.

Im pretty sad to make such a bad review for such a beautiful place. Ive grown up on Lake Grapevine! So this was special for me to take my kids on a camping trip. From day 1 of reserving my spot at the lake Ive had issues with no one calling me back to help me on their (help) line. Ive left messages and still no one has responded. Its now the 17th and its been from the 9th. No help! They also wont tell you that the Marina has workers who start drilling LOUDY at 6:00am ON A HOLIDAY when they can see theirs a ton of tents directly across from the dock that they are working on. Of course we made it work and made memories, and the only good thing about the management of the park, is the front lady and her sweet dog Luna. Thats it.

We took a group of ten teens for an overnight stay. Site was clean. Fish were biting. Weather was epic. The peninsula site was awesome. The shade trees were perfect. The bathroom was close. The trash dumpster was close. It was quiet. The marina was about 100 yards away. Great location for a bunch of first time campers.

The staff was friendly and helpful in making your stay fun and what i needed.The camping area was kept clean. It was a beautiful view of lake with the boats going by. I loved watching so many fishing out on lake. Next time I want to fish. Thanks to the Park Rangers for all their help and to the camp hosts!

The place is pretty but, when we arrived, people were occupying both spots we had rented. One guy was sitting eating lunch at the covered picnic table with his dog and left without much hassle and pretty quickly. The other site had a large tent set up and took the people about an hour to take it down. They also left a mess of onion peels and other trash on the picnic table. Then, before we got even set up, we had a cop show up and accuse us of smoking weed. Even said he didn't smell anything but that didn't stop him from walking around the campsite looking for a reason to get his dog out of the truck. Had multiple people walking through our campsite to get to the lake. Had a couple people claim they were renting it the following night and ask if they could set up tents by us. Then there was the guy with the boat with the loud engine (open headers) that was driving around the lake at 2am and 3 am and 4 am... We wont be back.

Super nice surrounding. Cheap stay. Toilets/showers could be improved.

Loud music everywhere. No control at all. It seems people got the camp site for a party a lot. Very loud and noisy until they leave. I drove and it is same for all stes. I will never go back here

The mountain bike trail here is pretty awesome...probably not for beginners like me, but good for more advanced riders! Lots of places to put in a boat if you want to do some fishing or water sports. The camp sites are fine. The lack of electricity and running water means you are "roughing it" compared to some other campgrounds. But overall, the scenery is nice and the trails are good. The water was down in the lake as well, so it was fun to walk around the edge of the lake while it was down.

Very large park with a gorgeous lake and easy access to the marina. The floor is rocky so we did have a bit of a hard time getting our stakes for our tent into the ground.

Small, which is nice when you just want to get away from the day to day hustle and bustle of life. Trees around most campsites for privacy and shade. Close to marine. Just plain pleasant for a small getaway.

We had a wonderful time and it was gorgeous. Us and our neighbor campers all had plenty of space and got along great! The only negative that happens is when we were leaving someone that worked there came by as we were picking up and questioned us and said we were illegally camping, put our tent in the wrong place, ect. I paid and designed my spot. It was so wonderful until then.

Great views. Was difficult to get the tent set up close to the roofed picnic table area; lots of rocks in the ground. The grill was disassembled so I was unable to use that. Besides that, great area.

We had a great campout. The new restroom facility is great! Closer to the campsites than the old one.
@DennisK5939243 · Camped on Oct 29, 2022 at Campsite #33
The camp was well maintained and quiet. I enjoyed my stay! Only real complaint was no light in the restrooms, but it is supposed to be primitive camping, so I understand that. Thank you!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
