What I would like to know. So here goes: the camp hosts are amazing! We visited the campground 4 days prior to our reservation and the camp hosts are just kind and so so friendly. The site is AMAZING. Site 21 is literally the best tent site. There is water, electric, a walking path down to the water (short walk), close to the bathrooms/showers, close to the parking area, shaded with just enough sunlight, grass, flat spot for your tent. The bathroom/shower area has 2 washers and dryers, which are free (so bring laundry soap). The showers are clean and hot! The bathrooms are kept amazingly clean and have real mirrors! There are three bathroom stalls and 2 shower stalls. One is handicapped equipped (each). The hand dryers are force heated. We traveled with 6 large breed dogs, search and rescue K9s. We used the Petsafe wireless containment system which allowed all of the dogs to roam within our area without being on a leash. The site had one firepit with a grill and a separate pedestal grill. We used the TMobile home internet which provided TV streaming service. We were able to beach dock our pontoon boat right on the beach near us. Hurricane Marina is only a 30 minute ride (20mph) from the campground. There is a Walmart, restaurants, camp stores, etc, in the area. The campground I quiet, the fishing is great, we caught several different types of fish using night crawlers. All in all there are zero complaints. The campground is clean, quiet, fun, serene, great location! I am so so grateful to have found this gem! I pray the camp hosts have an amazing winter and cant wait to see them next year!

Stayed at three campsites with nine friends and loved it. Ragland is a scenic campground along the river's edge. We were delighted by the views, the amenities, the lake access (went for an awesome swim!), and the hospitality. Upon arrival, the man at the gate was incredibly welcoming and helpful, guiding us all the way to our site. He made sure each of our friends knew where to find us as they arrived in waves. Thank you for such a great time. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first time here. What a great find Beautiful camoground by theclake,we stayed on #33,this site was level, on a concrete pad,sites were clean,large enough,the roads throughout the campground were well maintained. The bathroom/showers were surprisingly clean and modern.The hosts in the guard house were friendly and very hospitable.I noticed they did escort some Campers to their site and they were seen patrolling the grounds, socializing and cleaning.we already scheduled a return trip.

We stayed in a tent. Really clean bathrooms. Showers were nice and warm. The only thing that I didn't like was the fast traffic hitting the speed bumps. They need someone there slowing them down or bigger speed bumps so they can't go so fast.

Campground seems to lack attention. The fire pit had several trash items in it & there were lots of small trash items all throughout the site. Apparently no one checks the site between reservations. Large tree branches were also on site. The grass needed mowing but that seems to be the norm in all COE campgrounds this year. Probably the worst site condition Ive seen in many years at COE camping.

Our first time in this pull through site. Plenty of room and an excellent view of the lake. Havent had a bad site yet here. Great camp hosts.

This was our first time at Ragland Bottom. We enjoyed our stay very much. The campground was clean and had very nice bathroom and shower facilities. The parking and boat ramp was convenient as well. We stayed at a paved RV site with water and electric hook ups. The staff were very nice and we met a lot of very nice "regulars" that camp there often. We will be back.

Wonderfully level site. The rest rooms were very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it rained for the entire visit so I didnt get to take advantage of all the amenities. I would definitely go again.

Ordinarily, I would give Ragland Bottoms 5 stars. However, y'all have not been maintaining Ragland Bottoms up to standard. The host is fantastic. The people who clean and mow are wonderful. The view is spectacular. The location is one of our favorite places on earth. You also fixed the water temperature issue of being too hot in the bath house, which I greatly appreciate! The ramp platform at the campsite is finally completely rebuilt. It is so much easier to put boat in and pick up the car driver (as well as dropping off), since that is now in place. Having said that: The women's bathroom commode leaks at base, which I learned has been reported more than once through reporting channels. Too many of the rails at campsites and even at the volleyball court are failing and dangerous if anyone were to lean on them. The men's handicap shower has no handheld, so is basically unusable for any handicapped person. There is at least one, perhaps more, campsites along the water that have no covered table on which to place items. (See pictures of Sites 13, no table, and sites like 12, 14, etc., that do.) Also, too many sites are missing the hanging pole on which to keep our garbage away from the racoons and skunks! We "made do" with a clothes line between trees, but it was way too close to the ground and could have easily been invaded by any creature. Sadly, no effort has been made to keep the walking trail clear. I asked if it were possible to have boy scouts make that an Eagle project, but I was informed that the red tape made it impossible for those who had wanted to do that to get approval from the Army Corp. I hope that attention will be focused on Ragland Bottom Campground to return it to the excellent standard it has had in the past for us. We dearly love the place and want to see it receive the love and attention it deserves. Thanks for listening.

Great location for camping right on Center Hill Lake. Site #1 is right next to the boat dock which makes it quite convenient for parking and returning to your site. Quiet and peaceful stay with some awesome waterfalls nearby. We put in kayak at Cane Hollow Recreation Area in order to kayak up to Burgess Falls. These falls were just magnificent!!! We spent a few hours swimming at the falls and having lunch. Trip to the falls via kayak was about 1 - 1 1/2 hours (we are slow kayakers). Stay to the right on the way up the river to the falls and you will reach them. Also, Rock City is about 40 or so minutes from campsite and home to Twin Falls(which we missed) and Great Falls (which I am thankful for not missing). Wow!!!! is all I can say. Just magnificent falls. There is a swimming hole if you follow the signs from the parking lot to the left of the mill. Follow the signs to the right if you want a close up look at these beautiful and powerful falls!

The camp host are great and friendly .The place is clean.My issue with the campground is that the wake boats make it dangerous to launch and reload a boat. The need to make the whole area from Sligo Marina to the swim area a NO WAKE ZONE.They gave Sligo a no wake for safety and they should for the campground -swim area.
@AllanH36F8F8CF · Camped on Jul 1, 2024 at Campsite #29
Stayed at site 29.Being right by the lake was nice for the kids as they could swim within eye sight of camp. Rocks are sharp so something on your feet is best. The pad you get is quite large, has power and water to it. This site has no parking spot near it. You either have to block the narrow road slightly and carry your stuff down (and back up after your stay) and a pretty steep hill or you can park a little down to road in a small parking lot and tackle the hill.The bathrooms and showers were ok and were kept clean. All in all we spent two nights and enjoyed the stay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
