No fires allowed, and campground host was unpleasant at best.

Logger campground is great! The campground is very clean and it is obvious that the camp hosts take great care of the campground. All the campground at Stampedede are all cared for and kept litter free and very clean. The toilets are pretty clean and a step above out houses.

Being close to the water was nice. Restroom had no lighting and were not spot cleaned during the weekend. Pine needles were not kept clear and no burn posts were a let down for evening fire building. Saw very little attendance by camp host.

The camp hosts at Iron Ox Loop were absolutely the nicest and very friendly couple. Our campsite was beautiful, as was the lake. Not too many other campers there, which is how we like it, so it was very quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful experience, and will definitely be going back.

This is the absolute best spot for camping. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We were walking distance to the water and the stars were gorgeous at night.

There was no water in the loop, but other than that it was a great campground. We enjoyed staying there with our group.

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were super clean and even smelled good. This is one of the best local campground been camping here for 35 years.

Main item I want to pass is the camp hosts are great people. We met them last year in and May Of this year. They were Very very friendly they also had a doggy treat at the gate entry last year which our dog remembered And he was ecstatic to greet them once again through the window of my RV And every time he saw them going through the park he recognized them And looked for more dog treats they're a great couple they did a lot of Friendly contact with the people that come to the park the only thing you guys need to really do though is Ensure people with animals keep their dogs on Leads At least when they're in their campsite. walking with a leed is another thing that should be no ifs and or butts. But they should be kept on leads When walking around the park and this issue is always occurring with the jerks that fail to be considerate of other guests who have small or medium sized dogs. Bottom line things happen and if a dog is loose a bad thing can happen very quick and I would really hate to have to harm a dog attempting to harm my dog which I would probably do in that regard. This is something all parks have a problem with that really needs to be acted upon. I would suggest starting with an initial warning system of somebody gets a repeat offense for not maintaining their animal properly then they should basically be not allowed to access the park on a reservation basis for a set period of time unless they can appear to be compliant with the rules that's about it that's my say but again this should be out to all parksLook at that State recover everybody they should have forced us cuz it could be an issueI'm not be something Pleasant to deal with on any level Thank you goodbye

Location is amazing. Vault toilets were cleaned daily. A few yellowjacks buzzed around the area. Camp hosts could be a better job policing bad behavior. I had a neighbor who kept her dogs off leash. The dogs were not too bad but here constant yelling at them to return to their site was terrible. It was especially bad at 6am when I was sound asleep. Additionally, the Friday night frat party nearby was allowed to go on into the early hours of the morning. No showers, no camp store (even though many websites show one), and unenforced rules brought the score down.

The lady at the check in was friendly and just delightful! The campground was clean and tidy. We enjoyed our double spot. Overall, a great camp trip!

It was rainy and we wished the fire pits could have been used. We over looked the email regarding the fire ban so were not fully prepared for that. Too bad the ban cant be on a day to day basis

The campground is well maintained and the lake is beautiful. The staff was amazing as well. A friend of our friends booked on the wrong day and the campground was completely full. The staff went out of their way to call people who hadnt showed up and found him a site. Greatly appreciated!

The site that my wife and I had in the Steam Donkey loop was perfect for our first time there. We had no problem with getting our fifth wheel backed into the site and set up. We absolutely enjoyed our camping experience while we were there. We do plan on coming back for the 2025 camping season

IMPORTANT NOTE: For those who are traveling to the campsite, the last 2 miles of Dog Valley Rd is an unpaved dirt road with uneven surfaces, so expect a rough drive if your car is not meant for off-roading. Campsite review:Logger campground was pleasant and dog friendly with a few exceptions. We had good access to restrooms (which were clean most of the time) and to the faucet (Site 213). Restrooms are vault style and do not have sinks so be prepared to clean your hands elsewhere. Most of the groups staying in the campsite were respectful and quiet. There was a group that had their generator running all night for each night we stayed (3 nights) but they were never told to turn it off by the host during quiet hours. Campfire restrictions were not enforced as the group next to ours had a campfire for two nights our of our stay. Although check-in time starts at 2:00 PM, the hosts were nowhere to be found when we arrived around 5:00 PM and the host never stopped by to make sure we were checked in from our first day up until we left. However, our site did have a tag to let others know our site was reserved. Our double campsite was also in very close proximity to the next site (214). Our parking spaces and entire campsite was literally next to theirs. If there was another group in the 214 area, they would have been way too close and privacy would definitely be lacking; their site was only about 6-8 ft from ours. Overall, the campsite did provide a positive experience but I feel having the hosts' presence would have made the stay more welcoming and also to enforce regulations and quiet hours. And lastly, the road leading up to the campsite needs to be fixed... my brother's car's suspension was damaged by the uneven pavement and it made each drive to and from the campsite very unpleasant. In order to try and prevent damage, one would probably have to drive 5 mph or less... If I could, I would give an overall rating of 3.5/5.

The Camp host was extreeeemly difficult to deal with. The woman at the checkin was also a peach. The camp host showed up multiple times to our camp ground within two hours of being there with various complaints then kept contradicting himself with instructions of things he wanted us to do or not do. He even picked a fight with someone nearby us and was seen banging on the window of the truck at their camp site. The beach area was so rocky it was insane. My mother twisted her ankle trying to walk down to the water. I will likely not go back.

Another great camping trip to Stampede - it has been a yearly event for the past 28 years, first with the Grandkids and now with the Great Grandkids. A wholesome getaway from the cares of the city complete with the louscious fragrance of pines...

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
