Campground was amazing! Very clean and quiet. The caretaker was very helpful, kept us from setting up our tent in a flooding zone in the site we chose. Surrounded by water and very close to the ocean.

The best thing about the Lagoon Campground is its old-school campground level of service which keeps all the big RV sh*t (full of people expecting hot showers, dump stations and electrical hookups) far away, where they belong. DONT change this. In fact, make things even more primitive and charge less.

Beautiful campground. I was disappointed and shocked that the federal campgrounds do not honor Military National Park Passes. These people have served their country and cant get a break for their camp sites?

Great experience as always. I've been camping here for about 6 years. My fav place on the coast.

We arrived at 7pm and our reserved spot was occupied by other people and we had to wait until they vacated the spot. The campground itself is good with pretty leveled driveways.The restrooms with running water, though were the dirtiest we had seen on our trip.

Loved the campground. Very nice host; takes great care of his campground. Our spot was right across from the restroom. If you want more privacy Id try the spots around 031, otherwise youll see people going in and out of the restroom. Very nice trail around Lagoon wetlands and life. Trail goes behind most of peoples spots - fyi. Some people have dogs, kids, and some people stuck to themselves. Met some nice people. The Lagoon campground is full of life - and lots of birds singing in the mornings. Actually quite nice. Nice on rainy days too! Lots of Siltcoos beach access; have to pay a permit. Lovely towns south of campground. Amazing scenic views of mountain range. Just driving around is awesome south of Florence. Recommend this campground! Loved our stay!!

Nice, quiet campground. Very pretty, great trail around the campground to see wild life.

We enjoyed our stay at Lagoon Campground. Some of the sites are more private than at some campgrounds due to the vegitation. The bathroom was clean. I did wish they had showers, but that was okay. Overall, very nice.

This was our 3rd year of camping here. We love the campground. The restrooms are always clean and the camp hosts are great. We enjoy riding our side by side on the dunes just a couple of minutes away.

We enjoyed a lot the campground. It was our first time there and we miss it already. The host is great, the restrooms were clean and accessible. We loved having huckleberries all over our campsite and all around the campground and trails. The campsites are nice and somehow private even though it is close to each other the vegetation around them gives a sense of privacy. Site 34 was great for our 8-person tent and our hammocks. All the other guests we met during our time there were great people; we had a good time there. We enjoyed the lagoon, trails, and nature. The campground is close to the dunes and beach, it is also about a 10-minute drive from the Florence city center, supermarkets, and other attractions. It is easy to go visit nearby famous places like Yachats, sea lions cave, Heceta lighthouse, and many others.Definitely recommend!

Great campground, no cell service- Verizon. Campsites 23,24. The campsites had grass which was a nice treat. Bathrooms were pleasant, both campgrounds have lots of parking compared to others I've been to. The only thing to keep in mind is there are quite a few rats in the bushes. Have to put up food at night to keep them out.

Great, quiet campground. Nice lagoon and path to walk around. Close to the beach.

Campground is in good shape and proximity to the beach is a plus. Only negative is the policy about digital reservations since cell service in the area is negligible. We were able to drive ~10 miles to make a reservation but this seemed to be an annoyance that could be avoided
@IsaD620472B24C · Camped on Jul 4, 2024 at Campsite #40
Site 40 was one of the bigger sites and fit 3 tents. It was more private and shaded than a lot of the other sites as well. The bathrooms were clean and the campsite was overall pretty chill, but the ATV noise was quite persistent. Started at 7am and went basically until 11pm. It was a nice experience and we did a fun day on the coast/in Florence but I probably wouldn't return to this campsite.

Quiet place. Not buggy and plenty of space between campsites. Easy paved access off 101.Hidden gem.
@TroyR63CE1F084 · Camped on Jun 18, 2024 at Campsite #24
The campground is really nice. There is some ATV sound during the day, on weekdays I enjoyed hearing them. Weekends may be overwhelming if you don't like that kind of thing.Campground and bathrooms seemed clean and well kept. Most sites are roomy but many are best defined as 'shared' so you need to know all the sites. Which brings up a problem. Reservations are required, no drop-ins allowed. The maps on the recreation.gov site are inaccurate and they supply no pictures, so it's a crap shoot your first time. The other issue is there is no cell connectivity and the hosts do not have any access either so you have to drive about 9 miles (each way) to make a reservation. NFS needs to wither drop the reservation requirement or supply the ability to reserve the site at the campground.

We have been going to Lagoon and Wax Myrtle for around 20 years. We enjoy these camping grounds very much. Also the beach is great for riding ATVs.
@JoshuaN59A85B7 · Camped on Jun 9, 2024 at Campsite #8
The campsite was clean and we had no issues. Would definitely go again! Firewood in the area was too wet and we had a hard time getting it to burn well.
@MarianaG1818BF · Camped on Jun 7, 2024 at Campsite #26
Great little trail to the beach along the Siltcoos was a happy surprise! The lagoon is beautiful and peaceful despite muffled sound of ATV in the distance. Campground and bathrooms were clean and other campers were quiet, courteous. I can't wait to go back!!!

The campground was great except the site I reserved for my tent didn't work for a tent at all.

Awesome location, the frogs a night were very enjoyable. Just bring some bug spray and have an enchanting weekend!

High water and spring have left downfall and other maintenance things that need attention especially on the trail and boardwalk next to the lagoon.Bathrooms, while not filthy needed their walls and floors scrubbed extensivelyCell phone coverage is tough, but with a booster , fully satisfactory.The bird docent was knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful pointing out birding and things to be careful of.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
