Friendly campground house, who kept the campgrounds in immaculate shape. Easy access to Bass Lake.

We chose the campsite by looking at the pictures . Which was wrong next time we're going to find a site in person and look at them this site was lumpy no space to put our things the fire ring was to close to the table and just no room to set up what we have but besides that all the person out there are friendly and everything else and I was quiet and the weather was a little mixed up but this time of year we went it was ok. The next time I'll pick my site in person .That will be next spring.

Traveled from UK for camper van trip. This site is wonderful. So spacious, beautiful, lake views. Camp fires allowed. Just a wonderful place.

We had a great time at this campground at site 66. Our camp host was very nice and kept the campers organized. This site area had pretty good ATT service and was large enough for two small tents. We look forward to coming back again!

Nice campground. Sites were well spaced. I was in site #63 with a 21' trailer. I was able to park my truck at an angle in front of the trailer. The drive up to Jones store and Globe rock was fun. Carmen is the camp host and she is very nice and knowledgeable about the area!

We got in very late, 1AM, and had to leave early, so we didn't get much time there, but it's beautiful! and the campsite was great! It would have been helpful having a light in the bathroom, we weren't prepared in the wee hours of the night.

Lupine was great! Campsite was large and had a great flat area. Lots of space to move around. It was a short walk to the lake, which was gorgeous. Bathrooms were clean, but by the end of the weekend no more TP, so maybe bring some of your own. At night, neighbors were pretty noisy, so bring some ear plugs. NO bear boxes, so we just kept everything in our locked car with no issues. Pricey campsite, but I would definitely come back!

Quiet but too warm weather

Good times, float around on an inflatable, or get tossed around from the back of a boat, play some beer pong, eat some great food, the fun just never seems to end. With 101 to 94 degree highs, stay hydrated (plenty of light beer & water), dont forget your Herbal & spices, I highly recommend many coats of sunscreen throughout the day!
@Alejandro37627 · Camped on Jul 6, 2024 at Campsite #79
Generators everywhere, sites too close together, firewood not easily accessible and ended up buying it. NO BEAR BOXES even though bears frequent the camp, staff was great. This campground was more of a party spot than a relaxing area.
@SeanD7997205 · Camped on Jul 4, 2024 at Campsite #87
Decent site. They're currently having issues with black bears. And there aren't any bear proof bins. Theft is also a big issue during July 4th. I thought this site was closer to the water than the map makes it appear.

It was a great stay! My family enjoyed the stay. The ground was kept and we were close to the restrooms. Walking distance to the lake. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our 2 night Fourth of July stay this year. We had lot 73. As for the site itself, we fit a big ten person tent and had room around the site for activities. We loved that we had like a 280 degree view of the lake if you look past the trees. I saw the fire works directly across the street from the entrance and had a great view by the water. Ill definitely be back.

I enjoy being able to reserve my campgrounds conveniently but it bothers me that no matter how early I get in I can never seem to get a campsite in the forks campground where I really want to be. I will be calling to speak with somebody about this soon.
@MartyA2120438 · Camped on Jun 30, 2024 at Campsite #77
Nice place to camp but there are a lot of bears! Saw 5 in 2 days. The forest service solution to the problem is to post fines for campers that have bears get into their food. There are no bear boxes at any of these sites. They need bear boxes here!!!!
@DavidB5075483 · Camped on Jun 29, 2024 at Campsite #101
Instruction received in reservation confirmation email seem inaccurate: "Please register at the Bass Lake Camp Store." We could find no such store on google maps and went to a nearby resort to inquire and were told by a long-time local that she'd never heard of such a place.

The lupines are blooming in June and you can enjoy them by taking a walk by the lake.

This is a good campground with attentive hosts. The pads are ready for repaving, the bathroom door handles and locks need to be replaced (as all are loose and some don't lock) and one fresh water spigot has a hole that sprays a stream at the user. All-in-all this is nice campground at a good location managed by attentive hosts.

Very nice host, took time to explain everything, answered our questions and told us about the wildlife.Campsite was beautiful and with fire pit's, wood available by the host. In the morning we saw some dear just strolling through the campsite up close.This was our overnight place between Yosemite and Sequoia park. Good driving times.

We were there right before the beginning of the season during the week, so while it was wild and loud when we arrived Sunday, it was quiet during the week. Campground was nice and clean. The lake itself was not clean. Enough of a bummer that we did sight seeing rather than beaching. Staff seemed very focused on money and charging for things. Had to wait 45 minutes to dump at the dump station and that was mid-week off-season. Id say fill your water before you come and plan on dumping elsewhere.

Camp hosts were on point for everything. Friendly, positive, thorough. Knew their stuff. Campsite was a dream with view of the lake. Quiet, peaceful campground. However, I stayed Monday-Friday morning. Got a sense that the weekends would be full of noisy party goers which would spoil the beauty of the location. Lots of Day Use areas on the lake. That was nice, but people using these areas left lots of trash behind, even though trash bins were handy. Needs a once-a-week clean up by government personnel. The Canadian geese made a poop mess everywhere. Not much you can do about that, I know. Services around the lake were appreciated including boat rentals, showers, small grocery, small restaurants. Loved the old fashioned lake/mountain/lodge kind of vibe. Laid back, simple, friendly, relaxing.
@Theanv304E668F · Camped on May 6, 2024 at Campsite #70
The site and view was beautiful. Washrooms were ok, but not very clean. Not much else there, no showers, no electric. We knew that of course but we've had better gov. campsites for half the money. Not worth the price this one.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
