I booked one spot for 4 cars and there was hardly enough space for 12 of us in tents. The site says a max of 24 people, but the only camping space available for our tents was crowded together and on lumpy ground. Bring a rake if you go here and plan on using sleeping bags. Before we even brought out the ice chests, yellow jackets started swarming and going into the tents. We had the hardest time cooking anything because there were so many. Don't come here if unless you want to spend $200 for a small lumpy campsite infested with yellow jackets. Our site wasn't where it showed on the map either.

It was a great spot. Close to the bathroom, huge area with room for 3-4 tents. Maybe even more if they are smaller. Can see the lake a little, but its less than a 5 min walk to the beach! Only negative is there are no bear boxes with sightings of bears in the area.

We arrived at 2:30 PM. Nobody came to us for check in and the check in office was closed. The restrooms were super dirty. All toilet papers were on the floor and there was no soap in the restrooms. The whole campsite was super rocky, so we had to tent on paver! The price is super high, for this condition without shower and cleaning compared with other national parks camping sites. We paid only $30 on Yosemite campsite inside the village, it was very cleaned. It also had cleaned restrooms and showers. The highest price there is much cheaper than this campsite. We really enjoyed the nature, we are coming back to that area, for sure but not for camping in this camping site!

Definitely more bear activity around our campsite. Overall, the staff was great always having the restrooms clean. We will return this year.

Bathrooms left a lot to be desired. Bears are in the campground all the time, but bear boxes arent provided.

Campsite was small with little shade. Also had horrific neighbors nextdoor whos goal was to intimidate and scare everyone around them. We made several complaints and nothing happened. I believe the rangers were also afraid of them, we were camping with two small children and mostly all women, it was absolutely terrible. Nothing was done about them parting until the sun came up, screaming and yelling, children openly drinking alcohol, grown men circling our campsite at night literally barking at my dog. Ive camped my entire life and I have never been more terrified and saddened by a camping experience. Thank god we have a Great Pyrenees dog that was on guard the whole time, it was an absolutely horrendous experience. It was a beautiful lake but tainted by disgusting people who also left trash everywheresad, wont be going back..

Camp hosts were knowledgeable and helpful.Our site was not clean when we arrived, picked up trash and a number of bolt nuts in the road out front of our site.

Beautiful location and plenty of amenities close by. Public showers just down the road (millers landing) are sufficient. Forks resort was a great spot for breakfast/dinner/drinks/grocery/souvenirs. Millers landing has similar offerings but we only showered there. Location and view were incredible. Sites are close together but we had no neighbors during our stay (3 nights, late April). We were right off the main road and visible but it wasnt busy at all during our stay. Not a great option for multiple tents but luckily we only had one and were able to find a mostly level spot for it. Some sites seem to be strictly RV/vehicle sites with no place for a tent. Hosts were very helpful and friendly at checkin and did not bother us otherwise. Bathrooms were basic (bring your own soap) but clean every time we used them. Approx 45 minute drive to Yosemite south entrance and 1.5hrs to Yosemite Valley which was our main destination. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend.

Carmen the Park Ranger was amazing! She had the curtesy of checking with me and offer help if needed it. Also, game me a map of different places to hike.

The experience was poor to say the least. The site was a group site they said but it was so small with only 2 small tent areas on it. How is this going to accommodate 12 people?!Across from our site was a group of 24 people. They were up partying past 3:30 AM and no host around to tell them to quiet down. In the morning the same group were blasting music from their car at 8 AM. Again, no host around to tell them to be quiet.The bathroom was nasty with no lock and an outhouse next to it that smelled like it hadnt been cleaned for months.The price of 90.00 a night was outrageous especially for the experience.Will never come back and would never recommend this campground.

I recommend this camping place, the person who attended us is very professional and the place is a 100% contact with Nature. We looked at deer, turkey, eagles, rabbits and at night a bear. My family had a nice time. Thank you.

The only flat spot anywhere near our site was the pavement. Loud neighbors at all hours of the night an morning. Very friendly camp host.

Beautiful campsite with a view of the lake. The campsite is a little rocky so a little difficult to pitch a tent. The restrooms where kept clean for the most part. The campsite is just across the street from the day use area for the lake which made the experience excellent.
@DonaldD9914764 · Camped on Jul 16, 2023 at Campsite #11
Far too much trash around the lake, really requires law enforcement to start handing out ticket the moment a bag or pizza box touches the ground. No enforcement of generator noise; neighbors attempted to muffle a generator that was obviously not under the decibel rating requirement and it was in from 8 to 10. I understand during the heat of day, but 8 am? The road around the lake will beat up your boat, if your towing one, although it does a great job of checking most peoples speed. The call host seemed nice, although it would be good if she did something about the generator noise. The loop is great if you have a boat or group; most dine have much tent space so its ideal for rvs in my opinion. The lake is very nice, water is clean, not too much trash in the lake considering how much is on the side of the road.

The campsites were clean and the bathrooms were very kept up. Staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be that there is no bear box. We did have a bear enter our site and access our bins.

This campsite was very clean. The bathrooms were well maintained and restocked daily. There is no hot running water anywhere, so just be aware of that. There are no Bear boxes. We were told to put our food in our cars daily. We were able to build a fire, which was nice for the spring cool weather. We camped in Site 20, which had a slight incline and we were able to fit 3 tents. There are two wood tables per site which take away from the space provided. In our site, and around the campgrounds, we did not receive any cellphone signal. Our provider is T-Mobile. To get signal, we had to drive 20 mins down to South Fork. Our family of 7 was able to enjoy the campgrounds and surrounding Bass Lake area. If you want to shower, you can drive 4 mins. to Miller’s Landing. They have a general store, fast food joint, and separate public showers/laundry room. You can buy tokens which are used to turn the showers on. Nearby this campsite is also another general store called The Forks. From this campsite, you can also get to Yosemite’s Mariposa Grove South Entrance within 40 mins. From the south entrance, you can get to Yosemite Valley in an hour. If you save your entry ticket to Yosemite, you can use it for 5 days from your date of purchase. Big plus!! Overall, this campground has a great location. It’s next to a beautiful lake and near Yosemite.

Stay Experience was nice it sound pretty safe to do camping, a small suggestion is to add about public showers on website as they don’t have shower facility and it’s bit inconvenient.

Hosts were great, was able to buy fire wood with host and it was brought to the site. Lots of parking room. Decent amount of space for tents. Close to the bathroom.

Large site and walking distance to the shore of the lake. Single sites are really tiny and close. Double sites are acceptable, but double the price and NO amenities or hookups. Not even a bear locker. Bathrooms are shared between loops- so it’s not super close. Dumpsters were overflowing and definitely not bear secured.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
