Forks Campground, Bass Lake, CA

Forks Campground is located in the Bass Lake Ranger District, Sierra National Forest (1 hr 6 min north of Clovis, CA) with an elevation of 3,389 feet. There are a total of 27 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the beginning of September. 22 sites can accommodate RVs between 10 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. There is a fee of $45.00 per night. Some amenities include swimming, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

It was 94 degrees and excellent! Bears in the area...but friendly and excellent. Always rent a pontoon boat and go fast! And eat at the Forks Restaurant Nextdoor...best hamburgers in the world. We love Forks campground and it has great views of the lake.

Great location only down side is being near the street and no shade trees. Not great if you have toddlers. Bathrooms amazingly clean. Our host Carmen was on top of it.

This campground was awesome. Each site is clean and well maintained. The camp host, Carmen, and her daughter were so kind and hospitable. The bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. There is a general store and lake access just down the road which was so convenient. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful campground that is right across the street from Bass Lake. The bathrooms are well-maintained and clean. Campground host was available for questions and was very friendly. Cant wait to go back again!!

We spent a wonderful afternoon swimming in Bass lake, just a short walk from the camp site during the July heatwave. The next morning we hiked on the Mountain Goat trail with plenty of shade. Bathrooms are squeaky clean and the host is friendly.

The campground is good. Has everything you would expect. Cleanish bathrooms. Mostly flat campsites. The camp host was very welcoming. However some camp sites (including ours) are close to a busy road so we experienced traffic all night. Also no bear boxes for an area that has seen recent bear activity. The campground is also not as remote since this area is pretty commercial and close to big towns.

It was very hot, but so much better than home. The lake was an Oasis, and the campground clean, inviting and well taken care of. Our camp host was Carmen, we felt welcomed and informed and she kept the facilities sparkling. Plus she was so caring.We are going camping again in September and look forward to the trip!

We had a good time at the campground. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only bad experience we had was a bear broke into our tent. Mathew, the campground manager was helpful and told us that they have been asking for Bear Boxes for some time now. We agree that it would be a good addition to the campgrounds.

Pretty close to the main road around the lake, but not much traffic during the day. Night was really quiet. Hosts were helpful and gracious.

The campsite hosts are doing a great job here. The site was clean, as were the bathrooms. They were always stocked with TP and soap, but bring your own towel for hand drying. I mentioned that we wanted to purchase firewood to the host checking us in at our site, and shortly after that someone delivered it to us. Space 10 had a good amount of shade and a good flat surface for our tent. Well be back.

The family had a good time. Easy access to the lake for kayaking and swimming. Easy walk to the store for supplies/food.

The camping host was amazing, super friendly and he wanted us to have a good time in the trip. Bathroom were kept clean and plenty of toilet paper and hand soap. Definitely when a campground host is friendly makes a big difference in your stay. Thank you Matt.

When we got to the campground, we had trouble leveling our rig in the site we had. Annette was so helpful in finding us another site to stay in. She was kind and always checked up to see that we were alright. Campsite was clean and beautiful. Were planning our next trip for next year.

We stayed a week in site 14, which is right next to the BassLake main road. We got used to the auto travel noise quickly and it wasn't the bother we thought it would be. Good back in access for our 28' TT. No afternoon shade, a pop up is necessary. Great lake access for fishing or sitting lakeside as the water is right across the road.

Site 16 is close the road, so can get a tad noisy. Otherwise is a wonderful site with plenty of space, a table, campfire, and the campgrounds bathrooms are stellar. Really impressed by the ladies working the grounds keeping the bathrooms clean daily and theres even hand soap!

Great camp host, clean spots, walking along the cute path to Forks Restaurant was a highlight. We had a beautiful view of the lake at campsite #25.
