Osage Cove Campground, Ponca City, OK

Osage Cove Campground in Kay county is located 57 min north of Stillwater, OK with an elevation of 1,083 feet. There are a total of 97 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid March to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 60 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. All sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $22.00 to $100.00.

The camp grounds was clean view was perfect. I would have given 5 stars but due to the dogs running around loose and barking at night I cant give it 5 stars. public showers was clean had hot water. Wish they would patrol and make dog owners follow the rules. Tried talking to 1 dog owner about jis 2 dogs barking most of the night but turned out to be the wrong choice. Maybe in the future I can give it 5 stars.

Really nice campground. This site was great with lots of shade and trees. Lots of room to walk around the campground and local trail. Water hydrants are shared and you need lots of hose if you want to hook up while parked.

Camping at Osage Cove is always a fun time, but we did have a few episodes of flickering electricity, they are in desperate need of 50 amp upgraded service

The lady at the gate truely loves telling you that youll be walking to your camper if youre not in by 9:59pm so dont stay on the water till dark or youll be locked out by the stupid gate

. Nice & clean camp ground. If you need water hookups, make sure you check before reserving. Only 1/3 of the sites have water. There are several other camp grounds with all the appropriate and customary amenities.

Worst camping experience ever the breaker kept flipping every 5 minutes just a bad experience we made it through it normally during rain and bad weather we stay in the camper watching movies but since the breaker kept flipping it was pretty bad

The natural beauty of this park and of Kaw Lake cannot be denied. Red rock lake shores, expansive views of the placid lake and breathtaking sunsets all contribute to making this a must-see. The USACE facilities however have all seen better days and are in dire need of repair, replacement and upgrade. Most all of the asphalt and concrete in the park is cracked, broken or missing entirely. Restroom and shower fixtures are vintage 60s and 70s but lack all charm and nostalgia due to their deteriorated conditions, and the restroom and shower buildings themselves are in dire need of attention too. The majority of doors did not stay closed in their own and gaps in walls and roof joints are haphazardly plugged with pieces of foam rubber. But perhaps the most significant concern for todays campers is that almost every campsite pad in this park has a distinct and often dramatic slope towards the water. Id wager most single axel trailers could set up and level adequately on these pads, but motorized vehicles will largely be out of luck. Even with our small 22-ft Motorhome, it was very difficult to find a campsite we could level on. Vehicles with longer wheelbases will be very hard pressed to safely set up their rigs on these slanted pads. Electricity hookups worked very well during our stay, and water spigots were located throughout the park although we did not use any of them. The only garbage disposal is a series of dumpsters located outside of the park entry gate near the dump station. This is a bit of a walk from the campsites and may possibly contribute to lazy campers littering their campsites. Indeed, we did find quite a bit of trash in and around our campsite. The camp hosts at the entry gate were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful when we needed to switch campsites due to the previously mentioned leveling issues.

Very clean and quiet when we were there.It was windy overnight but our RV was still all night at the site. Beautiful to wake up to a wonderful view of the lake !!We camp here often and have a favorite site!

Very wonderful location number 30 spot has plenty of shade and is away from other campers. The cell service wasn't so great on AT&T network that was the only issue I had camping at this location.

Some sites need long water hoses that often have to cross the roadway. Best to fill tank on site or before setting up your site. Lot of water hoses were broken over our last stay as traffic on a heavy weekend takes a quick toll on hoses.
