Gate attendant was very rude when she couldnt find my reservation even after I showed them confirmation of my stay on the app. Sites on the entrance road in B section need a lot of maintenance done. There was 1 drop offs from asphalt to ground, very dangerous!!!

We always enjoy staying at Lakeside. Its a beautiful park, Always clean and very quiet. We absolutely love the camp host and have become acquainted with the park rangers as well. Very friendly staff. This park is awesome.

Excellent other than significant issues with FIREANTS!!! We had 6 couples staying in various campsites at Lakeside. Everyone was bit by fireants. We have stayed at Lakeside for years, camp host (Rose) is helpful. But fireants are out of control!!

I have stayed at Lakeside numerous times over the years and have always enjoyed this campground. This year it was unkept, the trash dumpster running over and the trash cans at the boat ramp running over and trash all around it. Also we couldn't even put our boat in and pull up to the fishing dock to pick up the driver of our truck and boat trailer because every side of the courtesy dock and the fish cleaning dock were taken by fishing guides waiting on clients. Sometimes they were tied together two deep all the way around. Their are at least 8-10 guides using the docks for their personal commercial business. Also you couldn't even pull in to clean your fish because they had it completely taken over. Then when it comes to parking your truck and boat trailer good luck as their clients in their cars and pickups take up the places that are for trailer parking. I wish I could have included a picture of the fish that the guides dumped on the fish cleaning dock decking. there was literally over 100 fish dumped in a pile so wide and long you couldn't get around the dock on that side. The main gates to the campground were not closed the entire time we were there which made us uneasy about leaving anything out at night.

The lake is great and the water and electric service are without flaws. The sites need maintenance though as many of them have steep drops from the pad to the ground because the ground has slowly eroded. Fortunately for us, someone left a 4 x 8 foot landing they had built to ease the transition. Hopefully these sites will be fixed soon. We love it here.

Site B3 has a big drop off where your RV steps let down. The asphalt has worn away and needs to be repaired. Several other sites in the B loop also have a big drop off so be sure to take boards to build a set of temporary steps for your stay. Other than that, the park itself is very nice and quiet.

Pads in B loop in major need of renovations. Steep drop offs at the edges of camping pads. I always pack my own weedeater when I camp here to clear a path to my boat. Mowing is infrequent. Ive come here for 20+ years and will continue to do so.. but there are room for improvements. Hopefully the improvements being made to DEF loops will be brought to B loop as well.

The firepits and concrete around the tables are not cleaned up. Grease all over our patio and firepit full of grease and garbage, nails, etc that was never cleaned up and geese were messing in all the tables and pavilions in our site and all the ones around us that were unoccupied and were never cleaned before people came and occupied them. A lady did come every day and pick up trash laying around and they kept it very well mowed.

Corp doesnt turn the water on until April 1, there is only one yard hydrant working for filling water tanks. All the campsites should have frost free hydrants. It makes it difficult and time consuming to dump sites when you dont have water at the dump at.
@RobertC4745893 · Camped on Mar 3, 2024 at Campsite #B5
Water still off mid March. Other COE few miles away, turned water back on a while ago.
@StevenJ8501981 · Camped on Dec 31, 2023 at Campsite #B1
Price was cheap enough at $16, but showers & restrooms were locked, and frostproof water hydrants were turned off even though the website said water was available.

We stayed 3 nights including Thankgiving day and it was a great time! Beautiful spot right next to the lake and the boat ramp was just across the bay! Amazing sunsets every night! The only drawback was the boats going in and out of the dock area, but really not too bad! Would stay there again!

This park is nice and quiet. Space between sites is nice. The camp host could be more attentive to trash laying about and picking it up. They seemed more concerned about their own laundry than anything. Never got to meet them because you never seen them. We have been to a lot of COE parks and State parks and you always get greeted by the hosts, they drive around all the time checking up on stuff and are friendly. Unfortunately not here. But our stay was quite nice and I would return.

The site we stayed at B04 and several other sites have the same issue, where you let you steps out from your trailer is washed out and makes for a dangerous drop off . This needs to be addressed with gravel or concrete
@jays8053974 · Camped on Oct 16, 2023 at Campsite #B14
I think the guides using the fish cleaning station should step up to the plate and contribute to the maintenance.There was an issue with 1 of the two facets, I would have bought the parts and repaired it myself if I was better equipped.This is my fav campsite

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
