Burns Run West Campground, Cartwright, OK

Burns Run West Campground in Bryan county is located just 24 min north of Sherman, TX with an elevation of 632 feet. There are a total of 118 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of September. 106 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 35 and 150 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 107 sites have electric and water hookups. 9 sites have water hookups. Fees range from $16.00 to $110.00. Some amenities include playground, boat ramp, restroom, ramada. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

We always enjoy staying at Lake Texoma. Enjoying the amazing sunsets from B camp site area.This time, we spent alot of time on beach, enjoyed swimming, walking beach and walking the park.

Beautiful campground. Our favorite area is Section B. The camp hosts are wonderful people that really care about the campers and go above and beyond to make your stay a good one. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The rules concerning Motorized vehicles should be enforced! There is one couple that always brings their golf cart and is always in the way at the boat ramp. They may think that they are not but when you have a tight area to turn your truck and boat around to back down to the ramp and they are parked there it makes it even harder to maneuver. Then, you have all the people that are fishing from the boat ramp and are getting in the way. I have finally stated going to east burns run to launch my boat because of the situation at west burns run. Then you have all the kids on electric bicycles flying past you as you are walking around and startled you because they are quite, and you don't realize they are coming up on you.

Great experience. Memories with family and friends. The only thing I have an issues are the showers its so hot, wish it was cold water. Bathroom same its so hot no airflow but all in all its been great

Burns Run West is our favorite place on Texoma to camp! The staff there are so friendly and they keep the area clean and well maintained. We enjoy the swimming and boat ramp access. Been camping here for decades and plan to continue!

Beautiful campground with lots of shade trees. Plenty of paved roads for easy access to campsite. Glad there is a beach area for swimming. Nice layout of campsites and site choices. Will visit again.

We had a good tree covered site that looked out over the water. It was clean and very nice size. There are great roads in the park to ride your bicycles.

BRW is a beautiful park with spacious sites, neat, clean facilities, and friendly, helpful attendants and staff.

Park hosts are very helpful and kind, the camp sites are clean and well maintained. The only issue that we had was a small water leak at the faucet which didn't bother anything it was just a waste of water.

We fell in love with this campground! Fabulous views of the lake while tucked amongst the trees - best of both worlds. We faced west so the sunsets were stunning. D28 worked for us- fairly level, though pretty close to the neighboring sites. No one camped on those sites while we were there so it was fine. We had easy access to the beach - great walking!We opted not to use the bathhouse located between Loops D/E - pretty old and open holes in bldg - animals?We used the bathhouse located between Loops B/C - older but clean and well cared for - only strange thing - shower side had lights/ toilet side - no lights!! We just brought a flashlight with us at night!!

D2 is a great site. We stayed 11 days and had a great experience. For the most part the bathrooms were clean. Our water supply was near the site, however there are some that are not close to the sites.

Very well maintained park. Lots of shade, quiet and beautiful sunsets. Water spout was a little far away so take extra hose.

We enjoy this park. The day use area is separate from the campground. However, boaters drive the main road through the camping loops to get to the large boat ramp. There is a large sandy beach area in the campground as well as in the day use area. Warning: watch for glass!Choose campsites carefully. Some loops are hilly and sites may not be large enough for big rigs. The restrooms are kept clean, but need updating and attention. Showers are pushbutton and not always working. Park hosts are friendly and helpful.The sunsets are amazing over Lake Texoma.

Had to clean the campsite before we could set up. Trash, confetti from a broken piata. Some even left a bag of fish bait full of maggots.
