Johnson Creek Campground, Mead, OK

Johnson Creek Campground in Bryan county is located 35 min north of Sherman, TX with an elevation of 658 feet. There are a total of 55 campsites. The campground is open all year. 53 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 90 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 53 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $15.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, boat ramp, flush toilets.

Nice park, but close to the highway. Some sites require a very long water hose such as site 18 or arrive with a full fresh water tank. The sites share a water outlet requiring 40 plus feet of hose. The website should have a note about the water. Site 18 requires about 100 feet of hose. Several sites have covered picnic tables.

I was unaware that the water for various sites was from a shared tap. I did not bring 75' of hose to be able to reach my camper. It would be good to know that up front.

Nice campsite. Sites close to water and nicely kept. The water hook up was way too far from our campsite and required 2 water hoses connected to reach our site. Had some pretty rowdy campers out there which was a little frustrating since we just went to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet - i do realize Johnson Creek cannot control that part.

50 amp sites noisey from highway, water connections to far from some sites. Had to borrow hose so it would reach.Beautiful park. Well maintained.

It was a good site. It was close to the water and easy to back-into. The only draw back, there was hardly any shade.

The spot we reserved did not have any shade, although the pictures online showed it as shady. They took care of us though and we moved to the next spot that was shaded. We were close to the water and had a great view. They have shared water faucets between 2 sites, the problem was that it took a hundred and seventy-five foot of water hose to reach the faucet. Thankfully we had just purchased a 100 ft hose and still had our other one in the camper. Flies were bad...nothing against the site, just might bring yard guard or fly straps. The bathrooms were clean, had some ants, but they were stiflingly hot. They need more ventilation. It was all i could do to stay in there long enough to use the bathroon. We waited until way after dark to shower. Shower water pressure was good. Nice and quiet. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice little park, no host or gate attendant was there during our stay. Would like to see more 50 Amp and possibly full hook up sites. Nice bathroom facility compared to others I have encountered

I was at site 31 - Site 31 receives the least amount of shade in the campground.Something to keep in mind in July & August.However the campgrounds were clean & quiet and the Bathrooms were also very nicely maintained.Decent views of the lake were to be found along the shoreline and around the boat ramp area.Overall a positive experience & I will return this Fall !

Many of the sites are shaded and there are several spots to pull up a boat. Bath house was four individual Shower/toilet combos and are clean! No A/C so a little warm. Sites were pretty clean - just a little trash left

Very crowded park. Pads in poor shape. Camp sites are on top of each other. Poor signage to find your reserved site. Many of the sites looked like people was living there. Comparing to many COE campgrounds we have used , Overall is a very poor Corp camp ground. Will not return to this COE Campground.
