Bumping Lake is beautiful and peaceful. Campsite 45 was spectacular. There are so many beautiful campsites there though.

Very nice, clean campground. Hundreds of toadlets coming up from the lake, very cute. There's also free spots off the side of the road by the river coming in.

Great campground and the paddleboarding on the lake was amazing!

Lovely! Site #019 was a little small for tent camping,but it was more private than I thought it would be. One side of the site has a hill that blocks the view of neighbors and the other side has some woods in between you and the next site. And there are no sites behind you! The pit toilets were clean. And the quiet hours were respected. Lake access is a short drive or a 10 minute walk away. The lake is beautiful. Sandy, sloping access into the water makes it so easy to wade in and swim or launch a kayak. Highly recommend!

Worst camping experience by far. Loud campsite with lots of kids and families around, and very few campsites here are private and isolated. We were shocked by how loud and obnoxious some groups were! The lake was accessible after a 5-10min walk. None of the water taps near us worked, and the nearest one that did was all the way near the camp host. Aaand the host was a 10-15min away, so it was a trek to get that $10 tiny firewood bundle and water. Whenever I visited pit toilet, the lid was up even though the campground asks to lower it obviously it did not smell good. Youd have to pay me to stay here next time, not the other way around

Campsite was ready for us. We spent 4 nights. Did not use the restrooms as we had our own but did notice the host cleaning them every day. The host did make their rounds, but it would have been nice to see them out and about a couple of times a day. It is a large campground, so their time is kept busy. It was a real treat to have the Navy jet planes flying low around the area, exciting. Making reservations were really easy to do. We will return for sure.

We stayed in lower loop #65. The campground was clean and in good shape. Nice shade about 50% of the time. The lake was mostly full and very few people were using the marina. The only noise at night were the nearby coyotes.

Bumping Lake is a beautiful alpine lake in remote wilderness. The drive along the Little Naches River from the east was incredible, from Naches to the Bumping River Road turnout. Lots of campsites along the final stretch of road. We stayed in Site 056 of the Lower campground, which had a great access to the water in our "backyard." The sites are all spacious and pretty secluded. It was Memorial Day Weekend but many sites were unoccupied, we made reservations ahead of time but anyone coming last minute would have no problem finding an empty site to stay at. Next time I would love to bring kayaks, as there are many cool little islands just offshore that are worth exploring.

I didn't know that the Bumping Lake campground has no water. It was very inconvenient.

Mt Rainer camping spots were all reserved and the Recreation website indicated Bumping Lake camping was available and showed only 16 miles from Mt Rainer, I should have checked because it was more like 35 miles and 50 miles to the end of Sunrise Road. The camping spots were very spacious and far apart from each other. There was a vaulted toilet which I didn't care for. The water spigot was an old-fashioned type that took a lot of effort to get water out. It was a beautiful ride down the valley into our campsite. The lake was interesting with all the tree stumps in the water which made swimming odd at times. overall I would give it a 2.5 star

Dragged my boat up there after being told I could get it in the water (18' 90hp) found out the water level was too low. Need some kind of up to date water level indication on these irrigation lakes. Otherwise the campground was nice and quiet (weekdays). May go back in the spring when there is actual water in the lake and not a bunch of stumps

I am hoping the fresh water line system throughout the UBL Campground Area is repaired and back online for summer 2024.

Great campground. Lake was populated with a ton of tiny frogs that my 5 year old loved.

Nice campground! Beautiful views and the lake was nice to swim in. So many baby frogs! Try not to squish them when you walk on the beach.

This is a fantastic campground, with a lot to do, great spots with privacy, and beautiful views. The garbage was overflowing and water spigots did not work while we were there, but we came prepared with our own water, and given the remoteness, I was surprised its not a pack in pack out for garbage anyway. Highly recommend. We hope to be back!
@PaulO218333214 · Camped on Jul 16, 2023 at Campsite #55
The camp hosts were very friendly, helpful, and informative. The patrol person at the boat launch however needs to work on their people skills, a rather unprofessional attitude.
@JessicaP263047 · Camped on Jul 14, 2023 at Campsite #47
Water in Bumping Lake was the perfect temperature for swimming. We loved all the little islands and coves - very pretty lake. Site 47 rates high for convenience, but low for privacy. It is directly next to the dumpsters and water spigot for the whole lower campground loop and right across the path from one of the restrooms. As a result, it's very convenient but also noisy with people arriving all the time to dump trash and fill water containers. Essentially no privacy, though there is a nice spot back into the trees a bit for pitching the tent.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
