We had a large back in space for our 43 foot 5th wheel. We set up our table top grill on the large metal table. We had room for our outside table for outdoor oven. We enjoyed the walking paths between the 3 loops of camping areas to walk our dog. The grounds were kept very clean. The park never was busy during the week just weekend. The shower room was clean and we saw the daily cleaning of bathrooms and showers. We had electric only at our site so drank bottled water, and used our RV water sp sparingly. Large dump area and trash cans available. We saw Eagles, Hawks, Deer and chipmunks during our 2 week stay. North Dakota is a beautiful place.

The rustic loop is nice and secluded from the rest of the campground (although the sites do not have much seclusion between them). Very nice campground, and I would definitely return!

We love Downstream campground! Its well taken care of, has shady sites, and is a quiet place. We make use of the bike trails and try our luck fishing in the surrounding areas. Love seeing the wildlife and hearing the coyotes at night!

Quiet well maintained campground. Lots of shade trees. Trails available for those inclined to walk among nature. Mosquitoes not an issue. Book, movie exchange on site. Actual people to check you in. Clean showers and restrooms.

This campground is a jewel for RVs, with level sites, paved roadways, and site pads. I did not use the facilities, but other campers said the bath and showers were clean and appropriate.The entire area has great walking trails perfect for day hikes and longer overnight backpacking associated with the North Country Trail.

Lovely area. Bathrooms were clean, showers had plenty of hot water. The sites were huge and private. Some trees for shade. The view of the Missouri River was lovely, even though there wasnt access to it.

A good alternative to Lake Sakakawea campground.Sites are level, well spaced but quite open. Bathroom/showers were not nice, so did not use.

Nicely maintained level site.

We love how the sites are more spread out so you don't have someone 10 feet away on either side. The bathrooms were pretty nice, other than an issue with a motion sensor in the ladies shower area not turning on when needed. They are very strict about no extra vehicles parked at sites, so if you have guests they may have a trek from the overflow parking to your site. Raccoons visit at night, so don't leave food or trash out!

Very well maintained campground. Nice sized sites. Stayed overnight as we were passing thru the area. Definitely checkout the Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site in Stanton.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
