Hazelton Rec Area in Emmons county is located 38 min southeast of Bismarck, ND with an elevation of 1,659 feet. There are a total of 30 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. All sites are currently reservable. 12 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $12.00 to $16.00.

I travel up to Bismarck every year and really enjoy stopping here for a week. Great internet, shore fishing, and walking around paths. Such a great park and Im usually the only one there during the week. I dont think theres better sunrise and sunsets anywhere.

We were glad when we got there that water was available; Even if not at the site. Some information being more obvious would have been nice. Having a period on the description for facility information is just lazy. The campground was fine,Simple some shade, 50Amp was fantastic. The road work wasnt the camps issue, just a local challenge. My complaint is the last of obvious information to make a decision on a an unfamiliar camp.

Great little site, peaceful and quiet for this time of year. 13 lined squirrels put on a show daily. Enjoyed Bismarck’s Buckspot Junction.

I enjoy staying here at Hazleton and down the way at Beaver Creek. weekends there’s a crowd in the electric sites, weekdays there’s usually just me. I just like to walk around and now and then try fishing the lake. Over in Linton there’s a butcher shop next to the market - great sirloin cuts for the grill. Nice little bar and grill up the road at Beaver Creek with Friday night specials.

We were there in the middle of the week. We had one other fellow camper with us. The campground was clean and manicured. Nice playground for children.

We we traveling on I94 and wanted a campground off the highway. This location is a little off the highway but worth it. Very quite. Level sites. We selected a site with 30/50 AmpPower/Water facing the lake/river. Vault toilets only. Potable water was available. Close to boat ramp and fishing access.

Nice, clean, and quiet campground. Only one complaint being unless you have a boat, there isn’t really any place to fish. I was hoping since it is right next to the river there would be a spot or two to throw a line in and fish, but after searching…. Couldn’t find any such place

We visited on a Monday, so there were few people (actually there was only one other rig). It was nice and quiet. Need to plan ahead as there is only electricity. However, it worked well and we had no problems.

Very nice campground near Bismarck, ND. We had a spot on the lake and enjoyed the sunset. Facilities were close by and usable. Sadly, didn't get to explore everything but enjoyed what we saw.

Nice campground with a slight lake view from our spot #7. We were there during the week so it was very quiet. Had electric with water available on site. Campground was well maintained.

Open field site provided very little shelter from the massive storm. Bathrooms were not close. There was a simple playground that the kids enjoyed. Other guests were all very quiet.

No dump station available. Too loud after 10 pm. Should be monitored ~ the loud folks were across the loop, very disrespectful. Very loud music. Not right.
