Stayed at site 25. Family of 4 tent camping. Plenty of space, nice and quiet at night with woods all around. Has drinking water access and garbage bins across the site. Garbage area was neat and clean, bathrooms were decent and water was warm for showers. This was our 5th visit here and look forward to coming back next year.

The site felt private, felt a bit more spread out than most campgrounds. Easy access to drinking water. The bathrooms were clean and were an easy walk from our site. We hiked the 5.6 mile look and it felt like a moderate trail. We had a great time!

The campground was nice overall, we were on campsite site 10. It's marked as a handicap site, but was very uneven & not flat, also the ground had a washed-out gully that was a tripping hazard. The gully was 5 to 6 inches deep and almost 2 feet wide . . . . it needs repairing, if someone was in a wheel-chair or scooter they could not cross the washed out gully. We were camping with a group, and all four of the sites had fire pits that had not been cleaned out in some time, half full of ashes approximately 10 to 12 inches. The bathhouse was very nice, clean & great design. We would like to camp at Arrowhead again, but will pick a different site next time.

Great Place

Very nice campground. One of the camp host had two or three dogs in a large fenced in area which bark very aggressively. Many campsites still indicated that they were reserved, but the notices were several days past the reservation date so they were actually available, but this may have confused potential campers.

Well maintained, quiet, a delight

This was a peaceful area with great paved walking trails. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water.

Beautiful campgrounds with large campsites many with electric. Many hiking trails. Large lake and nice bath house.

be careful walking the trail around the campground. there are lots of trees that have fallen, some right on the trail so you have to climb over it and many are cut away right on the edge of the trail. Be aware the camp hosts aren't always there so if there is a problem while you are there, you'll need to call the sheriff if you can't find anyone using the phone number on the recreation.gov app. If you are dependent on needing shower facilities, call ahead to be sure the women's side is functional. It was locked and bolted for 2 of the 4 days we were there. My husband had to stand guard for me to use the mens side.

We absolutely loved our stay. We had such a relaxing time together before the back to school rush.

The campsites were nice but the bath house was not clean, especially the showers. Did not see a host at all, I expect to see the host at least once a day to ride through and check on things I stayed in the campground the entire time and not once did the host make an appearance.
@JanelleC2EA52D · Camped on Jul 31, 2024 at Campsite #42
The campground and bathhouse is clean and well maintained and the host was very nice and helpful. The roads and pads throughout the campground appear newly paved and are in great shape, though be aware some of the sites do have a bit of an incline. There was plenty of room at the site for our RV as well as an additional vehicle. The roads to access the campground were a bit more "adventurous" graded washboard gravel with several (sometimes large) potholes along the way.

Nice clean sites and bathrooms. The host was very active, attentive, and friendly. Loved the paved sites! Water hook-ups at each site would be nice. Wish y'all had a beach area where there was swimming in the lake!

We didn't go due to rain. We didn't want to year up the trails. We like regular maintenance on the trails . But not flatten out either. But we appreciate all the hard work to maintain the trails. Arrowhead camping would have been our first. We always go to Baden lake or Holly Bluff. But the rain got us. I know no refund when I book with yall so that's why I don't book much. Thanks for all the hard work.

Campground is definitely off the beaten path. Sites have lots of shade! We were in site 38 (electric only). The only downside is the road in which needs a little better maintenance. The drive in is paved.. then gravel for about a mile (lots of potholes) and then the campground is paved. Was a little challenging in a 34 class A pulling a car.

The camp host that was there 04/18/2024 seemed a little rude when all I asked them was where my site was. Other than that the site itself was ok! Site 49 is at the bottom and you cannot park right beside it and have to carry your stuff about 30-40 yards from the parking lot so not too bad but I wish that was stated in the info about it. The other sites are literally a light stone's throw away from site 49 so a little awkward but the other people who were at those sites seemed nice so thats just a luck of the draw/ wish they told you about that. Overall it was a great experience but just wished they had given you a heads up about the distance from parking lot and how close the other sites are from each other in that cluster of 4.

The campground host, Don, was very friendly. The campground was well kept. We really enjoyed our stay!

Unfortunately when I showed up, I had no cell service. The issue I had was not knowing where to find potable water. The spigot I found when pulling in had a sign saying not to hook a hose to fill containers. The other was not being able to pull up a map to locate our site. Had I prepared more, I may have researched it better and known where I was going. A sign pointing towards the potable water near the dump station would have been helpful. I didnt realize that there was no check in area.

Nice spot nestled in trees, with some privacy.

We stayed at site 45 and it was great. Don, the site host, was fantastic and communicative. The bathroom facilities were clean and well-stocked.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
