No hot water showers unfortunately. The loop trail was good

The trail around the campground is beautiful. The sites are large and have privacy. Most sites are not level. The road into the campground is so bad that we will not return with our camper until the road is repaired.

Nice little campground. Most sites are large, a few have a bit of a slope, so larger rigs may be harder to level. Nice view of the lake from many spots, good trails to wander the woods.

Ive camped here several times in the past year and since the electric camp host named Don left it has gone downhill. Used to he would clean the sites the day before they were reserved and blow the leaves off. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. He would interact with the people staying and was friendly. The guy they moved from the non electric sites to the electric sites now doesnt do anything. The sites were trashed, the bathrooms looked like they hadnt been touched in months, and the only time I saw the host was when he was driving his Tahoe around with his strobes on. Overall after losing Don as a host the electric sites have gone downhill. Its a shame because the campground is close and convenient for a weekend getaway. I feel like part of reserving a site includes making sure its at least blown off or clean so it doesnt pose a fire hazard right at the fire pit. He doesnt even write the reservation names on the signs on the site posts. Over all the experience has declined.

We had such a wonderful, memorable 3 day stay. It was quiet. People were friendly but not intrusive, and it was the perfect peaceful get away we needed. The bathrooms were clean and functional. They have paved paths to walk around and take in nature. Would definitely go back.

Great spot, big enough for my 10' trailer, truck and maybe 1 other vehicles or a longer trailer.

Stayed at site 25. Family of 4 tent camping. Plenty of space, nice and quiet at night with woods all around. Has drinking water access and garbage bins across the site. Garbage area was neat and clean, bathrooms were decent and water was warm for showers. This was our 5th visit here and look forward to coming back next year.

The site felt private, felt a bit more spread out than most campgrounds. Easy access to drinking water. The bathrooms were clean and were an easy walk from our site. We hiked the 5.6 mile look and it felt like a moderate trail. We had a great time!

The campground was nice overall, we were on campsite site 10. It's marked as a handicap site, but was very uneven & not flat, also the ground had a washed-out gully that was a tripping hazard. The gully was 5 to 6 inches deep and almost 2 feet wide . . . . it needs repairing, if someone was in a wheel-chair or scooter they could not cross the washed out gully. We were camping with a group, and all four of the sites had fire pits that had not been cleaned out in some time, half full of ashes approximately 10 to 12 inches. The bathhouse was very nice, clean & great design. We would like to camp at Arrowhead again, but will pick a different site next time.

There was no camp host for the upper loop. The host on the lower loop would have nothing to do with the upper loop. Unlicensed motorcycles and four wheelers were riding around the campground day and night. Somehow the bath house stayed cleaned and stocked with paper. Wasn't the campground we've grown accustomed to. Some liquid hand soap dispensers at the sinks would be a great addition.

Great Place
@JamesM9879118 · Camped on Oct 23, 2024 at Campsite #40
Very nice campground. One of the camp host had two or three dogs in a large fenced in area which bark very aggressively. Many campsites still indicated that they were reserved, but the notices were several days past the reservation date so they were actually available, but this may have confused potential campers.

Beautiful campgrounds with large campsites many with electric. Many hiking trails. Large lake and nice bath house.

be careful walking the trail around the campground. there are lots of trees that have fallen, some right on the trail so you have to climb over it and many are cut away right on the edge of the trail. Be aware the camp hosts aren't always there so if there is a problem while you are there, you'll need to call the sheriff if you can't find anyone using the phone number on the recreation.gov app. If you are dependent on needing shower facilities, call ahead to be sure the women's side is functional. It was locked and bolted for 2 of the 4 days we were there. My husband had to stand guard for me to use the mens side.

We absolutely loved our stay. We had such a relaxing time together before the back to school rush.

The campsites were nice but the bath house was not clean, especially the showers. Did not see a host at all, I expect to see the host at least once a day to ride through and check on things I stayed in the campground the entire time and not once did the host make an appearance.
@JanelleC2EA52D · Camped on Jul 31, 2024 at Campsite #42
The campground and bathhouse is clean and well maintained and the host was very nice and helpful. The roads and pads throughout the campground appear newly paved and are in great shape, though be aware some of the sites do have a bit of an incline. There was plenty of room at the site for our RV as well as an additional vehicle. The roads to access the campground were a bit more "adventurous" graded washboard gravel with several (sometimes large) potholes along the way.

Enjoyed my trip. Showers were dirtier than last time

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
