North Mills River Campground, Mills River, NC

North Mills River Campground is located in the Pisgah Ranger District of the National Forests in North Carolina (33 min southwest of Asheville, NC) with an elevation of 2,225 feet. There are a total of 26 campsites. The campground is open all year. 23 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 18 and 35 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 1 site has water hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $56.00.

This is a beautiful campground. The camp hosts were amazing and we loved our site and the closeness to the River. Our only issue was our hand washing station was stolen during the first night and the second night we had something weird happen with our fire which had everyone on edge.

Clean spaces. Very nice hosts. The bathrooms and showers were always clean. Peaceful place to go. We stayed a week and enjoyed fishing, hiking and walking our dogs. We try to go every year. Thank you

This is a great campground! Unfortunately I was only able to stay one night. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and easily accessible. The campground host was very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

The campground host is excellent. The party in the adjacent group site however were terrible. They blasted "club" music much of the non quiet time hours over a public address system. I don't believe there is anything the campground manager could have done because technically they were not breaking any rules. But I suspect most campers don't go camping to listen to other peoples music loudly for three days. The Forest Service should take a hard look at permitted behavior as it pertains to music and "PA" systems. The should not be allowed. Further, music heard beyond one's own campsite should be looked at as well. It's noise pollution.

This is a beautiful place and we always enjoy staying there. I would suggest they keep all the bathrooms and showers open so that people do not have to wait to get into a bathroom.

Site 15 had a normal sized tent pad, but huge area around picnic table/fire ring. Sites were fairly close together, but enough privacy. Site was on the far side of the bathhouse and bathrooms, but they were very clean.

My husband and I reserve a spot 2 weeks each year...spring and fall. We love this wonderful campground in the Pisgah National Forest for its beauty, quiet, peaceful environment! The restrooms and showers are always clean, every site is well maintained and the hosts are fantastic.

My husband and I were there Oct 22-Oct 28,2023 on site 18 for our annual fall camping trip in the NC mountains. The beauty and tranquility of the campground were more than we expected. The bathrooms and showers were clean and heated (much to our surprise).It quickly became one of our favorite campgrounds in that area and we cant wait to take our grandkids there in the summer.
