Great little cabin with 2 bunk beds. Great hosts. Made up for the other host at gone creek (site 2) that yelled at us to be quiet while playing board games at 4:30 pm (Way before quiet time and only one other family near us besides the hosts campground)

This last hike in spot is definitely the most private of the bunch. Although, still close to the cabins. It has nice access to the lake, with a trail leaving directly from the site for easy access. The site is quite slanted, so we were not able to find flat spot for either of our tents, but it wasn't too bad.

Fantastic relaxing time! Even though the campground was at full capacity it was still really quiet and magical!

Timothy Lake is a fantastic area, with plenty of room for everyone. And Oak Fork is a great campground with attractive, spacious sites. Well be back.

Great site on Timothy Lake. The amenities were great - the vault toilets are the cleanest I have seen there are plenty of water fill stations around. Sites are well sized and it doesnt feel crowded even when all the sites are full.

Stuff was excellent

Oak Fork is such a small, quiet, nice campground. My cabin and the vault toilets were very clean and well stocked with toilet paper. The day use/beach area on Timothy Lake has multiple picnic tables and is where I spent the bulk of my time. The hosts were present and helpful.

Upon arrival/check-in to the campground on Sun 8/4, we were informed by the camp host that we would have to vacate all our belongings on Tue night or Monday morning before 8am due to a tree needing to be cut down in our campsite. We arrived on Sunday with a check-out on Friday. We rented a cabin. We were transferred to a tent site. The daughter and grandkids didn't bring a tent as they were sleeping in the cabin. So we all had to cram into a tiny trailer which wasn't big enough for all of us. We had a trailer that we had to park, unpark, park again. Having to level it. This took precious time out of our trip. This was a family camping trip planned well in advance. With very young grandkids. This was extremely stressful and difficult for us all. The tree cutting should've been scheduled AROUND our reservation. We had to pack up our belongings three separate times back and forth. THEN the camp host was rushing us to leave and pack up the temporary campsite so they could try and reserve it to someone else. Plus, we had limited access to the lake because they were dipping into the water for the wildfire. Having to move three times during our stay seriously cut into family camping enjoyment time not to mention the emotional stress of it all. Also, because we knew we were going to have to pack up our campsite we refrained from setting up our campsite completely. We've had plenty camping trips up on Mt Hood. This was by far the worst.

Awesome camp site with a very friendly and communicative camp host. Also, they have the cleanest outhouses, hands down.

Oak Fork was one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in Oregon. Beautiful accessible lake, great trails and a very clean and peaceful campground. I highly recommend it.

This is hands-down one of our favorite campgrounds. Clean well laid out campsites great access to the lake. Camp hosts were great. The only downfall was the screaming kid throughout the campground this last time. This is not something that weve experienced in years past. I understand a kid crying for a little bit, but for hours was exhausting.

Every year we reserve two adjacent sites at Oak Fork for a family camping trip. In previous years (and particularly in 2023) we've had issues with over-zealous hosts over-policing our group, made up mostly of "women of a certain age" (ie NOT partiers). Infractions drawing the wrath of the hosts included: 1. Our elderly and hard of hearing uncle was talking too loudly at 6 minutes after 10pm. 2. Our boating gear was in the day use area adjacent to our site, which was "unfriendly" to day use area users, even though this was midweek and there were numerous other available day use areas. The host berated two different people in our group about this without checking to see that the gear in question was being moved.3. A friend joined us for a few days, the check-in area was unoccupied, so she proceeded to our site. Within minutes, a host came storming up to our site, acting as if we were trying to defraud the campground, stating that our friend had to come back to check-in to pay NOW.4. Several times different hosts questioned why we had more than 6 people in our site. Each time we had to explain that we were a family group, we booked two sites, we never had more than 12 people staying overnight, and the larger site was where we congregated, cooked and ate.That was then--I'm happy to report that the hosts this year were a lot more laid-back. At check-in, I explained the family nature of our group, how we all gathered at the larger site, etc etc etc. It made our trip much more relaxing to stop worrying every time we heard the host's John Deere heading our way, wondering what we'd done now to draw their attention.

Excellent campground hosts. Cleanest and best smelling pit toilet bathrooms weve ever seen . I watched them at least 4-5 times a day.

Oak Fork Campground never disappoints. Friendly hosts who keep the entire area in tiptop shape. Campsites are large and surrounded by trees. Cant go wrong staying here.

Best host anywhere in oregon

Very well run campground. Actually saw the host and they came around to quiet everyone down after 10pm which was very much appreciated. Only downside to the area is there isn't much to do. Paddle the lake (few views) or walk the flat trail is about it.

Campground is in great shape and the hosts keep it in excellent condition. Beautiful lake and nice large sites on or near the shore.

The campground was pristine, and the camp hosts were absolutely amazing, left early because of the smoke :( but we really enjoyed our stay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
