Roaring River (Estacada) Campground, Estacada, OR

Roaring River (Estacada) Campground is located in the Clackamas River Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest (47 min southeast of Gresham, OR) with an elevation of 1,267 feet. There are a total of 14 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of April to mid September. 1 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 20 feet. All sites are currently reservable. There is a fee of $19.50 per night.

A bautiful area and overall a very nice campground, but a dirty campsite. We had to do a whole bunch of garbage picking right upon arrival. The rangers don't seem to do their job over there, so we had to clean a lot of waste left over by the previous group.

We definitely scored a great spot here (4), I would say if you were booking try to get spots 3, 4, or 5 since they are essentially park and “hike in” spots, therefore much more secluded. There were a couple groups a bros when we were there playing drinking games and such but if you have a more secluded spot it’s great! The swimming hole by the river was cold but wonderful and there’s a great swimming spot across the road from the entrance.
