Was not as private as described in other reviews. Not private at all really. Which is disappointing, I booked specifically for privacy. There arent pictures of all the sites which is also annoying. The bathrooms nearest to our site were closed and had honey bucket potties. They were disgusting. Definitely not maintained well for the circumstances. There was a burn ban so we brought our gas fire pit. Though the site across was having a real fire. Phone service was good for T-Mobile.

The campground and location was awesome. The only downer was temp washrooms instead of flush ones. Hike to Franklins falls is a must.

Terrible Experience with Noise and Unresponsive Camp Host.I recently stayed at Denny Creek Campground, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. On our first night, a group was blasting music until 3:00 AM, making it impossible for us to sleep. We approached the camp host to complain, but instead of addressing the issue, he dismissively told us to go away and claimed there was nothing he could do about it.It's unacceptable for a campground to allow such disturbances after quiet time (10:00pm - 8:00am) and have a staff member who is unwilling to help. I would not recommend this campground to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful camping experience.

I could not stand the traffic noise from the interstate at Denny Creek Campground. I was booked for two nights but only stayed one due to hardly sleeping because of the semis thundering down I-90 ALL THE TIME.During my stay, the closest flush toilets were locked and porta potties were available. They were almost full and completely disgusting. The pit toilets at other campgrounds Ive stayed at this year have been pristine in comparison. And I dont understand the logic behind supplying bear lockers at each campsite when trash containers all over the campground are not secured against wildlife. I cannot agree with the good reviews for this campground - listening to interstate noise all the time is not my idea of camping. Ive stayed at numerous campgrounds in WA - some next to highways - and the noise at Denny Creek is on another level. If youre looking for a calm, peaceful stay in nature, this is not your campground. If youre ok with noise, gross toilets and unsecured trash bins in bear country, then go ahead. For clarity, Im a tent camper. Perhaps staying in an RV would be a different experience. If youre comparing this campground to closely packed, treeless RV parks, then ok - youll likely love the trees and space between sites. If youre used to beautiful PNW camping in more remote areas, this campground is the bottom of the barrel.

The campground is beautiful and quiet - except for freeway noise. There was little interaction with the Campground Host. The flush toilets at the top of the campground were nice, but didn't notice them until halfway through our stay - used the porta potties at the lower end. They were full and needed to be cleaned. Also, didn't notice the trail to Franklin Falls until the end of our stay. It would have been nice to be greeted and informed of the things we discovered on our own.

Its a great spot near Seattle, but the restrooms were down and there is no access to showers if youre staying long .

Bathrooms were kept clean, easy access to the river, great trails right from the campground, clean campsites.

We loved our stay at Denny Creek. I brought my 5 yo granddaughter on her first camping trip and she had a blast. The nearby trails are a plus, no need to get in the car. We had site #11 and it was great.

Camp ground remodeling including bear resistance containers for food at each site The bathrooms still do not have hot water for hand washing or working hand dryers The parking for the falls trail head has a nice large paved lot.It is dry camping except for electric hook ups

Very large site, but also very spread out and a steep hike on an unimproved path to get to tent pad. The entire site is kind of downward sloped, and very spread out. The vehicle pad, fire ring and picnic table are all close to each other at the top of the campsite. However, down a steep hill, with no steps only tree roots, is where the tent pad is located. If you are looking for seclusion for your tent setup, you will get it with this site, but you are nowhere near your fire pit or where you will cook. This also makes setting up camp and taking it down quite a bit of a workout, considering that the heaviest parts of your camp are going to have to be pulled out of your vehicle and taken downhill a distance and set up and then all done in reverse when you get ready to leave. A great campsite if you want seclusion, but not so great if you want all of you camping gear and your sleeping space all close together and nearby.

We havent been RV camping for too many years, but enough that we use a Forest Service campground at least once a year. This is the first Forest Service campground that we have visited that had any hookups for RVs. We were pleased to have 30amp power on our site, although there was neither water at the site or a sewer port or dump station at the campground. Our site was mostly level, but like most of the Forest Service campgrounds weve stayed in, the vehicle pad is usually not particularly level or has such a swaybacked curve in it that leveling is sometimes impossible. We were grateful for the site being as level as it was. The vehicle pad wasnt all that wide, once we were situated there was maybe of a foot of asphalt beyond our front door. We put out a door mat after we got situated and about half the mat rolled off the asphalt to the ground next to it. It would have been nice to have more asphalt on the curb side of our rig so that we tracked in less pine needles and dirt than we did.Campsites are quite generous. We have more than enough space for two canopies, and there was a tent pad, too. We were camping with friends who booked the adjacent site 30, which had no utilities. They were tent camping and we allowed them to use our tent pad.The fire ring is nicely placed on the site, about equidistant from the picnic table and the tent pad. And there was a large bear box on the far side of the campsite for overnight storage of food and equipment.Unlike many Forest Service campgrounds we have visited, flush toilets and running water were available on site, however no showers. Water taps were also conveniently spaced throughout the campground; you didnt have to go far to fill your jerry can. However electric sites did not have water, so make sure your RV is full before you arrive. Note that the taps in the park are not threaded, so you cant just screw on your hose and fill your tank.We will do our best to come back next year.

Campsite was surprisingly degraded with not much foliage between campsites. We could hear road traffic most of the night and starting again early hours of morning all day.

I have been to Denny Creek campgrounds several times, and always enjoy our stay. The falls trail is in great condition, and the new parking lot is huge cutting down on the campgrounds car activity. It was rainy on this visit, but it's always fun regardless. There are new tables where needed, and bear boxes for dry food storage.

Stayed the last weekend of the season and it was fabulous.....so quiet and a beautiful spot in the trees. We had an electric site. Pull through was perfect. Very convenient to I-90. Some freeway noise by over-amped vehicles. Definitely recommended.
@JeffreyH206902 · Camped on Sep 11, 2022 at Campsite #16
This is a pretty campground with lots of shade. There is constant road noise from I-90, but you get used to it and it becomes a background white noise except when a semi is engine braking. The hand dryer didn't work in men's room #4 and the camp hosts were lax about replacing the paper towels that they provided for drying your hands. The bear boxes at each campsite are spacious and make food storage so simple. We also loved the number of trails that are accessible from the campground without having to drive to a trailhead.

My pup Bill and I stayed 3 nights, we had a great walk to Franklin Falls and enjoyed meeting some great people and pups. My camp host was great, very friendly and approachable. See you next year!!

For all the hype this place gets- it was just okay. Camp hosts were very nice and having a bathroom with flushing toilets is bougie. The camps sites are not very private but the hiking trails all around are absolutely amazing. You can hear noise from I-90 at the campground.
@SheriG6924854 · Camped on Aug 29, 2022 at Campsite #10
Freeway noise is obnoxious. The creek was refreshing and a nice hike right out of the campground.

One of my favorite site to camp, it's private enough and have 2 different trail for easy hike.

We brought our 38ft MH and towed our minivan, we stayed in site #5 which is a pull through, so it was easy in and easy out. We had plenty of room for the MH, Tow Dolly & Van. Our site also included a nice size tent plat and sturdy picnic table. The site was very clean when we arrived, checking in was a breeze and the camp host was very helpful and friendly. Our grandkids stopped by for a day visit and enjoyed the woodiness of the campground and spent many hours playing fort. It’s a short walk to Denny creek so they also spent some time in the water. We spent a week at Denny creek, and it was a very quiet week. The only negative I would say would be that where we camped there is a road fairly close that goes all the way up to Snoqualmie pass but not a problem and the campground is situated between I90 east/west so there is a considerable amount of freeway noise. Overall we had a very nice week and look forward to returning next season.

It was nice having a raised soft pad for our tents. We were just able to squeeze both on. The price plus electric seems a bit high for just a tent, and it kept me from rating the campground higher. We would stay here again though.
@ZachR5146166 · Camped on Aug 16, 2022 at Campsite #23
My campsite was fairly 'dirty'. The previous tenets left a bunch of trash, in the firepit, around the table, and behind the tent site. I even found a pair of shoes that someone had left. For 40 bucks/night the campsite could be taken better care of. In addition, the sites are very very close together, luckily my neighbors weren't too loud, but that traffic is brutal. It seemed that people like to race above on the interstate. Finally, I had a spot reserved but it was not noted on the little reservation whiteboards. Left me feeling like the camp host was going to come to kick me out at any time. I know the employees noted it because they stopped at my site multiple times. Overall, not a great site; it's fine for a night if you're traveling to Seattle but otherwise I'd consider looking elsewhere.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
