The campsites are clean and good size. Bathroom is clean. The website says campfire allowed and we keep checking to make sure it hasnt changed but when we get to the campground, theres a burn band and all food that we prepared for this trip are for grilling. The website needs to be updated and I think its just better to call straight to the campground and check.

The campsite was not cleaned up and there were raw burger meat and hot dogs left in the campfire area. Bathrooms were very dirty.

John the camp host was a very nice guy and a very polite person. That being said I will say that the bathrooms were very dirty and had no toilet paper for at least a day until someone in my party finally said something to him but he did take care of it. Also there was a NO FIRE! Ban in place yet there was campers with fires???? Very disappointed with this camping ground which is unfortunate because my husband and I have camped at various other campgrounds being that were retired. We did manage to enjoy our visit but wished for a better experience.

Very private campsites in beautiful setting.

Campground was great - friendly camp host, working toilets, running water, beautiful views, walkable areas on the beach when chilling at camp. We did the Rachel's Lake hike one day, very beautiful hike - lots of waterfalls on the way up and lake to swim in at the top!

Nice campsite with plenty of room. Camp host John was wonderful - even parked our kayak trailer for us. Lake level was very low, but kids still managed to swim, and adults could kayak, we just had to deal with some mud.

It was an awesome time minus how the water was so low compare to our first time visiting. I hope next year would be different.

The campsite and area is beautiful. I have stayed so many times and usually have time to book a reservation in advance. Website closes out bookings a few days in advance. Last minute trip from the city with no reservation. Arrived at 9pm just getting dark. Every site said see camp host but if it was booked would show last name. Went to camp host spot they said the host wasnt there. Rode around and pulled up booking site. Pulled up FF sites first come first serve. Went to that site said it wasnt booked until 3 days later. Set up. Terri the camp host came over really aggressive that we started setting up. (It was getting dark) the site said FF but she informed me all sites are booked. (The loop was empty) I told her about the website and the first come first serve and she said well the website is wrong and its ran out of Kansas City. I apologized but didnt understand why she was so weird about availability when it was a Sunday and the campsites were empty. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong when in reality if the website doesnt match what is really happening at the loop then shouldnt she be trying to fix it and not take it out on people? Living in Seattle Im sure lots of people head up last minute to hopefully find a spot. Why gate keep such a beautiful area ? She made it sound like I could stay after the whole situation with first come first serve but was it really needed? The back and forth just to admit yes the site is available. Ran into other campers and they said the same thing. Just weird interactions. The campground is beautiful.

Love this place! Even if the lake is low, its still one of the best spots to camp.

Excellent Campsite, had a decent amount of shade compared to other sites on this campground, but still can get very hot.Not a fan of vault toilets, but the staff did their best to keep it clean, so kudos to themThe biggest disappointment was the water - it was cloudy and our dog got sick. Highly recommend not using the tap water at this site.

On July 23, 2024, we stayed overnight at the Kachess Campground in Easton, WA. The campground was pretty and full of trees, providing a pleasant, natural setting. The sites were well maintained, and the campground was bustling with families. However, it settled down in the evening, making for a peaceful night. Access within the loops was a bit tight for our 32' RV, and unfortunately, I damaged a step on a stump while making a sharp right-hand turn. One aspect I didn't like was that I had to pull the RV forward into the site, which made maneuvering challenging. There was no Verizon cell phone coverage, but fortunately, our Starlink provided reliable internet. Despite these challenges, the beauty of the campground made it a worthwhile stop.

Site was very private, the toilets need some work, one stall was out of order

Rating this low because I made reservations on two sites with two cars and six people (on each). We had some people that were only able to join us for the day of camping, so I wanted to ensure included them in the reservation. But when they came to front gate/check in area, the lady at the front immediately told them no, the day use/campgrounds were full and they couldnt enter. Didnt even give them a chance to have them explain the situation, just told them to turn around. I came up to the front then to say hey - we have someone joining us, I made the reservation for x people/x cars - she then told us to talk to our campsite host, who then told us that the lady at the front should have handled that. The campsite it self was fun. The campgrounds could use better signs/directions though. It was a little confusing initially trying to get to our camping spots.

Loved the access to the lake and hiking nearby. Clean campsite, convenient. Loved our time there!

Great campsite that didnt feel TOO close to other sites. Shaded, but with limited coverage during the afternoon. It has direct access to a path that goes down to the water; you cant see the lake from the site. Situated about 4 sites from the vault toilet, which was clean all weekend, and 1 site from the closest running water spigot. We fit two four-person tents, and could possibly have squeeze in one more. I had some cell reception with AT&T, though not a strong signal.

Beautiful lake! Unfortunately this site was across from the camp host which had the generator running right up until quiet hours. It kind of took away from the whole camp experience in the evening time when it was so beautiful out with the stars and campfire and such. This site also has significant sun exposure during the day but has short trails close to the lake!
@MasudKC9D85689 · Camped on Jul 17, 2024 at Campsite #71
We were told that we did not have our reserved campsite because it was a first come first serve site. After a lot of waiting and questions we were finally told we did have the site and infornation was not updated. Anyway, we finally got to the site but found no camp host. Normally it would not have been a problem but the site next door had an RV generator running all night. The camp sites are clean and spacious but the sites themselves are very closely packed and the campground is poorly managed.

Our absolute favorite campground, we come here every summer. Cant get better than this! Views are amazing, there isnt a campsite that isnt absolutely fantastic. Lake access is unbeatable, we bring our floaties and hang out all day long! Very child and dog friendly as well.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
