Fabulous campground along the north fork of the Nooksack River. We were in site 11, which, to our opinion, was the best site in this small campground. It was very private and spacious. That said, any site in this beautiful campground would be good. The location also was perfect as it is 20 minutes to Artist Point, one of the most spectacular vistas in the U.S.

Campground host, Lydia was amazing. She accomodated our request to change campsites and was so helpful on how to go about doing that. She is amazing.

Booked and paid for a campground online (or so I thought). When we got to the campground, it turned out we booked the picknick tables for day use. Paid $60 for that!! I even got a conformation mail that I reserved a spot for 1 night. Luckily, the ranger on site had another spot available and helped us.

Dislikes : lots of mosquitos at our campsite (site #14), likely due to all the overgrown plants around the edges of the site. I also thought the site would have direct access to the river, but only about 3 campsites at Silver Fir Campground had river access. Likes: I liked the short drive to Mt. Baker/ Artist Point.

Quiet to clean campground. The restrooms were particularly clean. Most campsites were right on the Nooksack river.

Nice campground in a great location. The campsites are spacious and right on the river. We tent camped and tent camping works well there. The host was a bit out of sorts, but maybe he was just having a bad day.

I chose Silver Fir only because it was close to our backpacking trailhead (Yellow Aster Butte trail), but what luck to find out that it is a BEAUTIFUL place, and conveniently located to Mt. Baker area trails. Campsites along the N. Fork Nooksack River are beautiful, lots of mature trees and shade. Restrooms were impeccably clean and stocked. We definitely plan to come back to Silver Fir next summer, it's amazing!

Amazing site at a great campground! Everything is spaced out and site 11 provides easy access to the river. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Very quiet, small campground. Nice river by most campsites. Nice vault toilets. Water spigots. Big trees.

Small (they lost a few sites due to erosion from winter floods) campground on the Nooksack River close to Mount Baker. Pros: scenic, River, easy to sight see Baker area. Cons: Even if Full sign is up people drive through on the gravel road often- can be noisy and dusty. Pump water very sediment filled this year

Pro’s site 11: has to be the best camp site!!! Easy access to the water, short walk to fire wood, trash, and drinking water, very private. Absolutely beautiful place to camp. Cons: mosquitoes are horrendous, lots of shrews so keep you car doors shut and food put away.

Great site! Right by the Nooksack River. Bring bug spray because there are skitos. Camping was awesome!!!

Good location, site (11) felt nicely private, easy access to the river. A short drive to Heather Meadows and Artist Point for hiking.

We enjoyed staying at Silver Fir Campground and especially cooling off in the North Fork Nooksack River. We loved the Mount Baker area.

The campground was quiet, the sites felt private and the camp host was super nice. Being close to Mt Baker recreational area was fantastic!! Lots of bugs though… bring candles and spray!

Pleasant experience overall! Anthony was a friendly and attentive host, reminding us about rain and providing hiking trail advice. Loved his humour too! The water source at the campsite turned yellow and muddy in the mornings, but we found a nearby river that was easily accessible within 30 seconds for clean water. The only downside was the abundance of mosquitoes; despite using literally all the mosquito repellent available to mankind, I still got around 10-12 bites. Apart from that, the campsite offered a welcoming atmosphere surrounded by old growth frees.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
