Unfortunately the camp host has been aware of a homeless man leaving bing in the woods who regularly steals food from unsuspecting campers. This has happened to dozens of campers and has been going on since May!! A simple flyer posted on bathroom doors could alert folks to lock up their ice chests inside their cars. There is no excuse for the lack of notification. Just shear laziness

I have been camping for 60 years and have never had anything taken. Apparently there is a homeless thief that is taking food on a daily basis. I had all of my food taken, and my cooler rifled through. The camp host was hostile and defensive, with no food I had to leave my campsite unattended while I went back to town, to purchase more food. I love that campground with so much beauty, access to good hiking, and water sports. It's unfortunate that the people in charge have so little regard for the campers and their well being.

I have been visiting Swift Creek campground over 15 years and this is a spectacular place to enjoy the outdoors. There is a great swim area and the views are breath taking. Bring your water toys, bug spray and be prepared to have an excellent time off the grid.

The yurt is a new and fantastic experience for my family. Except the location is so close to the boat launch, which is quite noisy starting from 3:30am. Sometimes diesel smell from the boats were strong, too. Washrooms are well-maintained and kept clean. If you have a boat or kayak or paddle board, definitely bring it with you. the baker lake is a must go. I will for sure go back to this campground.

Lots of fun! The lake is gorgeous and the campground is spacious, lots of room from site to site.

Beautiful campground and we had a great time at the beach. Make sure to lock up your stuff in your site when you leave it.

Such an amazing place. Only complaint, if you can even call it that, is no showers. This is some of the most amazing water I have seen in the state. 5 stars

Campsites were clean and toilet facilities were kept clean and well maintained. The boat ramp is convenient and easily accessible. I enjoyed my stay.

The only camp site that was available was very close to the entrance road. Truck and boat traffic started very early 3am-ish. Did not sleep do to all of the truck traffic and left first thing in the morning after one night of our two night reservation.

Great campground, no cell service helps you disconnect and really relax!
@JuliaS6816363 · Camped on Jul 12, 2024 at Campsite #43
I thought being next to the bathroom would suck, but it was actually really convenient. Bathrooms were clean and you couldn't smell it from camp. Lots of shade during the morning. Big site!

Too expensive for minimal accomodations. $80 for 2 night is just greedy for vault toilets and no electricity/water at the camp site.

We had rain and cold for our stay in the group site this year, but we had plenty to do - kayaking, hikes, dinners beneath the picnic shelter. Always a great place to camp with a group.

Nice campground, clean, and spacious sites.
@CindiK5975F761 · Camped on Sep 17, 2023 at Campsite #39
The campground is beautiful! My only complaint is the condition of the vault toilets. Four out of the four that I saw didn't have any toilet paper and litter was strewn about in the facilities.
@KaleeN69AF6FEB · Camped on Sep 17, 2023 at Campsite #GP6
Love this campsite! Sites are good sized. Vault toilets are kept very clean. Boat launch is easy to navigate and awesome to have to enjoy the water. Mosquitos are pretty bad in the late summer but manageable when campfires are allowed.
@JenniferP95895 · Camped on Sep 15, 2023 at Campsite #41
Campsite was in great location near the lake and close to water spicket and toilet. Easy to walk my paddle board down to the water. Most guests observed quiet hours. I did not notice camp host, but also did not need to find one. It was not clear whether campfires were allowed. There was a sign that said "burn ban in effect" but then firewood was for sale. Did not make sense.
@EllenJ5372746 · Camped on Sep 12, 2023 at Campsite #38
Had a great experience mainly because my neighbors never showed up and it was super quiet. Loved the peacefulness of Baker Lake.

Great campsite. Amazing lake, and old growth forest. Views are incredible. Facilities were well maintained. We would like to return every year!
@AlexandruC3F04 · Camped on Sep 5, 2023 at Campsite #39
Had booked spot #37 specifically, because it's close to the water and neighbors are not as close as on many other spots. On arrival it was occupied by other guests that had a different (less attractive spot) Older ladies had camp set up already and we agreed that I'll get on the spot #38 and if it turns up booked they'll leave, making room for us. There was no host to be found around campground and we agreed to take spot #38 and hoped nobody showed up to have us move around. Beautiful place, but staff didn't do homework. Will go again

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
