Gull Lake Rec Area, Brainerd, MN

Gull Lake Rec Area in Crow Wing county is located 1 hr 17 min north of St. Cloud, MN with an elevation of 1,209 feet. There are a total of 43 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid October. 39 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 53 and 122 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 40 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $28.00 to $40.00.

Sites and entire campground were very clean. We had the ranger stop in to visit and pass out campground information. We also had firewood delivered to our campsite.

stayed at site 20 on sept 9th to sept 12th and it was the worst camping experince my wife and I have ever had. There was construction going on right behind our campsite from 7am to 7pm every day we were there, 100 FEET AWAY and was very LOUD. If i would have known we would not have come, why was this not posted on your website? My wife and i have camped there for many years, not sure about coming back..

Lovely scenery and grounds were kept very clean. Lots of places to bike, hike, and swim. The bathrooms are amazing and the showers had warm water!

This is a very well kept campground. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It was quite full but quiet. We had a great experience.

Very clean park that is well maintained! Unfortunately while we were there we overwhelmed by mosquitoes. Yes, I would go back either eaiin the season or later.

The sites are huge! They are very private! And they are gravel so not much dirt. Beautiful beach in walking distance with a park and picnic area, including a volleyball net. Great bathrooms and shower rooms. And we enjoyed looping the place walking our dog everyday too. Highly recommend and we stayed several times this summer as our boys like to golf at The Pines at Grand View Logde, very close to this campground.

The mosquitos were HORRIBLE!!!! Couldn't sit outside without getting eaten alive! Unacceptable! Why don't you spray anymore? We come here every year. Never had this problem before.

This is an awesome campground! It is so clean and well maintained. We found the park manager as well as the park volunteers to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is very obvious that the staff here truly care about the campground and they work very hard to make sure the folks camping have an enjoyable visit. Last year we were in site #13 and this year site#11. We have a 37 ft fifth wheel and we fit with plenty of room to spare. The sites are large and some are semi private.

beautiful park, spacious, pretty quiet, ( maybe a little road construction). lol but overall pretty good. Dogs barking was limited.

Nice clean campground. I was site#9. Large, level, gravel site with privacy woods surrounding it. Quiet during nights but loud construction going on near by. Rangers very strict about using only approved firewood from Minnesota. Not too far from Brainerd with lots of shops & restaurants.

It is a nice campground. However there is a lot of construction next to the park so the equipment was pretty noisy.

Area was nice and clean. Sites were nice and shaded. Clean dump station. Nice stay for us. Lots of mosquitoes. Would be nice if they could spray for mosquitoes.

Site 9 was very level and easy to back into. Nicely wooded, VERY quiet and relaxing! The only downside was the streetlight at our site near the road. Very friendly workers came to greet us and check us in. The firepit had been emptied of ashes and the site was freshly raked.

Nice campground, things were well thought out and very clean. The ranger was making rounds regularly and was very helpful and friendly. The site all appeared to be perfectly level so setup was a breeze.

The mosquitoes here will eat you alive! The second you step out of your car, you will be swarmed. We couldnt even stay here, we had to find a different place for the night and forfeit our money.

Very lovely campground. Well spaced, secluded sites. Toilets/Showers were fine - did the job.Great location - near Ernies for evening meal/drinks & music in the summer. Lovely short hikes nearby with lovely views over gull lake.
