We love camping here. Love riding our SxS on all the trails. Unfortunately on this trip we experienced something that was SO WRONG! We pull in the campground and noticed someone was already set up on our site, we booked. We started looking at the tags on the poles and noticed they the people camping on our site, switched tags with the site next to us. Now not having a camp host there wasn't anything we could do but be upset and have words with our neighbor, for the weekend. Or call the sheriff. We chose to not cause anymore trouble and let it be. The place needs a camp host .

On Thursday and Friday August 29 & 30 there was no toilet paper, no paper towels and no hand soap. By Saturday afternoon there was some supplies in the restrooms.Would also like to see some updates like a dump station more places to get water. I believe people would be willing to pay a little more for more amenities . We have been coming here for years and ever since Steve the camp host has left the site has gone down hill.

We having been going to Suttons Bluff every year for the last 4 years as a family and friends trip. We enjoy riding our side by sides and swimming. Can't wait until next next year!

The campground was quiet and clean. It's a great place to get away.

We loved our stay at Suttons Bluff.The campsites were very large.People were very friendly, Good hiking in the area. Make sure you take a drive down river road into Centerville.

Showers and Toilets were clean. Spot 11 was great for two tents.

Cool, small campground. Black River is beautiful. I was concerned that ATV noise might be annoying but it wasn't a problem. No service for ATT. Verizon had 1 bat most of the time.

A pleasant place to camp off season when most of campground is empty. While nice that they were even offered, for a national forest campground, the 2 showers and bathrooms were in dire need of renovation. The vault toilets at other end of campground were clean and relatively odor-free.

Generators on all night. Late arrivals ( midnight) were noisy and decided to stay up and party until 3AM. No camp discipline. Rude and disrespectful. Nice isolated sites other than that.

We really enjoyed our stay. So peaceful and quiet for the most part. Campsite #11, definitely will visit again.

The campground needs some attention. The bathrooms and showers need to have some maintenance completed. We visit the park twice a year and things are getting run down. The trail system needs serious work . Individuals spend a lot of money on ATV/UTV and permits to go through overgrown trails. I love going to Sutton Bluff but it needs work. Just my opinion

We had a great time, but we went for a weekend and ended up having someone walk on to our camp site 3 different times trying to do who knows what. And the man stayed in the woods and just watched us. All the way up until we left Sunday. And he started messing with us at 1am. Shinning his flashlight on our tent and we had kids with us. Very scary.
@DarrenBE412A99 · Camped on May 31, 2023 at Campsite #29
Rude park maintenance employees. Trash cans over flowing. No park host. Waited till we were already set up at campsite to come through mowing, made a mess and didn’t even mow our site.
@Christine45219 · Camped on May 26, 2023 at Campsite #32
Everything was great - but our campsite was more of a downhill, so it was harder to get camper leveled. Spot #29 -

Bathrooms/Showers are TERRIBLE! Need to be bulldozed and rebuilt. Been going to this place for 50 years and the bathrooms have had nothing done to them.
@RandyS7957196 · Camped on Nov 3, 2022 at Campsite #4
Since there is no campground host this year it has gone downhill, bathrooms and showers not clean or stocked fire pits full of ash on Labor Day grass was only mowed near the host site it’s really disappointing to see it go downhill in 1season and I have been going there 20+ years
@BRANDYP1308683 · Camped on Oct 27, 2022 at Campsite #4
Needs Steve back, people drive the wrong way, bathrooms don’t get cleaned, toilet paper was empty upon our arrival. Fire rings were so full we had to empty it out in order to use. The facilities are due for a revamp. Rot is setting in. Very enjoyable camp ground for years. Please keep it enjoyable for many more.
@KevinB3052996 · Camped on Oct 21, 2022 at Campsite #26
We have camped there several times. We have a newer camper this trip and were supposed to stay in site 26. We could NOT back in to our site. We are long time campers and my husband has excellent backup skills. The road was barely as wide as the truck and camper with significant drop offs on both sides. And the roads did not seem well taken care of. My husband ended up with the front of his truck off the road and we ended up with a hole in our camper. We saw the campground was mostly full and did not see any available sites (with water and electric) that were any better to back up in, so we had to leave and drive back home. Since it was just a 2 night stay, we didn’t even cancel the 2nd night after spending 10+ hours driving to/from campsite. We probably will not return to this campground.

No camp host like years past .grass was all grown up in the ditches and the bathrooms where nasty been going down there for the last 5 years with family .. NEVER AGAIN
@JeffP3506157 · Camped on Aug 12, 2022 at Campsite #9
If you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing weekend this is not the place to go it is always crowded with loud off-road vehicles that circle the park at all times of Day and night. On the other hand if you’re looking for a fun and exciting weekend riding your side-by-side or four wheelers there are many trails and fire roads to traverse.
@JamesJ5898180 · Camped on Aug 4, 2022 at Campsite #26
We always have a good time at Sutton’s Bluff. The park this year (2022) didn’t have a host but most people were quiet and respectful. There are always those that abuse the toilets and showers by leaving a mess. The Rangers show up every day to check on things. The Black River of course has no faults! Always there, always beautiful, always waiting for you!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
