My daughter and I stayed two nights. It was great to unplug and fully experience nature. The toilets were clean, water on site, and great lake views. I also brought my 12" Dobsonian telescope to take advantage of the dark, dark skies. After the moon set, I was able to get great views of the Orion Nebula. Not kidding, take a look at light pollution maps and you can see outside of this area, you have to travel far to the west to get out from light pollution. Great for hobby astronomy and astrophotography!

Was the only one on the whole campground on that Thursday night. Didnt know the property was 15 minutes away from cellular phone service. Also didnt know that you practically need a 4 wheel drive to get down to the property. That is not what I drive. Checked out after one night. Couldnt get an update or refund to process online.

Very peaceful, very picturesque. Clean, well kept. Almost every spot touches the water and the water was clear and clean. Loads of fish. The camp host was very nice and helpful. Loved it!

Had a wonderful time!My only regret was that our croquet field wasnt mowed, but thats trivial. I may reserve the entire circle next year because my group is growing. Loggers never disappoints!

I haven't been back to this campground in a few years but it's still really beautiful and quiet. The campground host was great and very helpful. The only issue was that the lake was low due to it being drained as of May 2024 but will hopefully fill back up through the rest of the year.

Very clean primitive campground. We enjoyed our stay. The camp host and rangers were very friendly. The campground has a vault toilet and a water spigot. There is no cell service unless you drive to the top of the hill. There isnt any electric, sewer, or dump station at the campground. The road to the campground is a 7 mile dirt and gravel road.

You wont find cell service at Loggers Lake, but Id recommend this campground to anyone in a heartbeat. Beautiful lake views and so peaceful! The camp host was also so friendly and welcoming.

Clean pit toilet. Dark sky campground. Only 3 other sites occupied and quiet

jim the host was very kind, has a lot of good stories, and has put in a lot of work to make the place welcoming. fun to fish. neighboring towns in the drive up can be intimidating to most, maybe not very POC friendly.

Road improvements in the MT were appreciated. The forestry team was busy keeping the MT forest healthy for the future.

Had a wonderful time at Loggers Lake! Campground host was very accommodating, the grounds were well maintained and restrooms were clean. Was happy to see some repairs to the road. Hopefully more repairs to come. Looking forward to my next trip there!

Loggers Lake is a beautiful campground! Due to recent rains, the lake was a little muddy but perfect for kayaking. The camp host is super friendly and the sites are all beautiful!

Campground was nice but reserved spots were not marked so someone else took our spot before we arrived.

This is a very pleasant place to camp. Helpful camp host. There is a remnant of a nature trail, but it seems abandoned. It would have been nice to have some identification of the various hardwoods and conifers there. Overall the USFS presence seemed missing - no signs, nothing. Very different from forests in the West.

Wonderful secluded campground with a beautiful lake and the campground host was awesome. We have a Volkswagen camper and it was perfect for small campers. We will be back!

It was a very clean campground, sitting on a beautiful lake. I visited on Mon - Wed and I was the only one in the entire campground. Peaceful and serene with nothing but the sounds of nature. It was my first ever solo camping trip and I will definitely visit Logger's Lake again!

Peaceful place to relax. Even though the water was off for a day, we had an awesome stay.

This is my favorite campground. There is no phone signal and it is so peaceful. Even when full you don’t necessarily see your neighbors

Campsite itself and the host were amazing. We ending up having bad luck with a rain week and the local school showing up running through our campground and i mean in between our car tent and chairs. Only complaint on the campround is currently the spring trail is inaccessible because of downed trees.

We’ve been camping at Loggers Lake for over 50 years and are very happy to see the recent improvements. The camp host was great with good information about the area. We meet the nicest people there.

I truly hesitate sharing this GEM of a campground, but feel obligated so not to be selfish. We (husband & wife) spent last weekend here for the first time. We have camped hundreds of times in MO over the last 30+ years from private campgrounds, to state parks, to gravel bars on overnight river canoe float trips. This place is truly a paradise of peace. 11 FIVE star ratings don't lie. Uncrowded/spacious campsites all with lake not just visible from the sites, but accessible from many just a few steps away. In just one day we kayaked the crystal clear water (you can see lake bed below in 20 feet of water), fished (caught two largemouth), hiked the 1.2 +/- mile trail around the lake, took "foam noodles" & cocktail and floated in the lake 30 feet off the shore (I'm normally not a fan of lake swimming - prefer clear flowing rivers - but with this lake being filled by spring fed creeks, it was not only crystal clear, but warm on the surface and refreshing cool down below), started the campfire & made dinner and watched a beautiful sunset over the tree line across the lake from our campsite and watched a gazillion stars pop out one by one. Well, until the near full moon began to rise, then we decided to take a moonlit kayak trip around the mirror calm lake. Lawns, grounds and vault restrooms are VERY well maintained. Community water spigots a short walk from our site. Yes it is a little off the beaten path, "primitive" sites with no electric or sewer, and NO cell/internet - but each site has fire ring, picnic table and lantern post - and how awesome it was to have a total break from "the grid" for a couple days allowing us to 100% dedicate ourselves to soaking in nature and spending time TRUE quality time together - camping like it "used to be". WE WILL RETURN to this paradise. OH - and the host was SUPER friendly and a true JOY to meet & talk with!!!!

My fiancé and I travel around the country pretty regularly and have been to 39 of the 50 states. Loggers lake ranks up there as one our favorite campgrounds we have visited across the country. Perfect place to go if you're looking for peace and quite. As others have pointed out in the reviews, it seems this is a hidden gem most do not know about. There was only one other camper there for the three days we stayed. Absolutely stunning views to go along with a serene atmosphere. Planning on stopping there again on our annual trip. In an added bonus, the grounds keeper (Jim Evans) was one the most genuine and nicest people we've ever met. He stopped by out site to see if all was well, and if we needed any assistance. Ended up chatting with him for a good 30 mins and learned of some more interesting sites to visit while we were visiting Mark Twain National Forest. Highly recommend this campground for families or couples.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
