We love camping at Wolf Creek(Pomona Lake). This is our 17th year of camping with family and friends!

Very nice spot. A little close to one neighbor but nice shade & great view of the lake.

This is the second year our group has held their District Campout at this Group Site. It has worked really good. The shelter and restrooms are fine and the campsites are accessible.

We always have a great time camping at Wolf Creek.

I love how secluded you feel at this site. Your door opens up to the view of the lake, not someone elses camper. The sites are spaced out far away from the next site. The facilities were clean and our stay was extremely enjoyable.

Can see the water. Close to both parks. Very shady. Only problem is alot of Nats at night so don't forget a bug zapper and citronella candles or torches.

Nice park and quiet. Two of showers could have used better cleaning due to massive ant swarm

Positives: The camp grounds were well kept and clean. It is a park like setting with many trees for shade. Many sites having a good view of the lake. The camp host was friendly. The sites are mostly all level and covered with plenty of gravel. Easy and short drive if you are coming for the KC area. Negatives: Unfortunately, we experienced a massive amount of insects(wasps, hornets, ants, gnats, flies, etc…) at our site. We are organized and clean campers so did our part to deter them, to no avail.. Not sure if it was the perfect mix of location and weather conditions or a site that was not used for a while(undisturbed). It was so bad we could not enjoy our stay. We have camped many times in many areas(KS, MO, AR) and have never experienced this level of insects. Additionally, there was loud bass music off and on both evenings from another camp ground. We only saw a Ranger once past 5pm, which left you with the feeling the camp ground was not well monitored in the evening hours. Our site was close to the water but no safe water access, so if you have a paddle board or a kayak you have t haul it to a lake access point.

Our Family Campers & RV'ers had the Wolf Creek Group Site the weekend of June 15-18, 2023. There are 23 sites there and a really nice shelter house. It was a great place for our group, in fact if there were a few more sites we could have filled them. The only comment we heard was that the sites could be more level - almost everyone had to use leveling blocks. Otherwise it was a great facility.

Lovely camping spot with plenty of space. Quiet during the middle of the week. Only problem was there were a lot of ticks.

Terrific weekend.

The play park was so far away from where most of the camp sights were. The park host never came around to see if everything is going ok. The only time I seen her come by was going to her families camp sight. Phone service was spotty at the 4 sights that we all had reserved. There was different providers also. I don't think I will be going back to camp here.

Lake Pomona seems to be a hidden gem, at least during August when the hectic summer is over. During my stay, I was the only camper on the non-electric loop.
@LarryW4240620 · Camped on Aug 18, 2022 at Campsite #D6
Beautiful spot for camping, the only thing I would suggest is that they put more shade trees on D-6 camping spot. Other than that it was fantabulous camping like always!!!

Level site with shade. Wish there was full service available. Chiggers and ticks were out so make sure you use bug spray. Only other thing, I wish there was a grill. Only grill available was on the fireplace.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The campground and lake were very peaceful and quiet. The bathroom facilities were clean and really nice. This was our first time staying at Lake Pomona and we loved it. Thank you so much,

Group site is large enough venue for our family reunion. Has plenty of shade, 50 Amp electric and water at every sight.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
