We camp multiple times each summer here, literally for years! My husband and I are now retired but we grew up spending our summers on Pomona Lake. Corp campgrounds are always clean, well-managed and modern but Michigan Valley is one of the best.

Camp site and bathrooms were clean! Showers were a little difficult because you had to turn on every shower full blast for any of the water to get hot, then go turn them all back off and shower

We have used Michigan Valley for our family reunion for the past 2years and it is perfect!! It has electric outlets and air conditioning was important for our older family members with the heat!! Perfect indoor size space for everyone to eat and enjoy and also the outdoor space with the volleyball net and horseshoes and the playground area for the kids!! We have just enjoyed it so much and we will definitely be back!! Lots of memories made and cant wait for the next one!!

Beautiful, so enjoyed the spot. Near the lake and fishing (I did not catch but oh well). Had electric and water no sewer but a dump station. Wife and I had ebikes, love the area for the ride. I guess I can't tell you how we enjoyed this outing.

Due to weather, we were without electricity for the 1st night. We appreciated the Ranger stopping by our campsite to inform us of the situation. Once electricity was restored, everything at the campsite worked well. The swim beach was great and close to where our site was set. The 2 negatives: cold water in one of the showers I used and no hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms. We will go back to this location!!

Love Michigan Valley campsite. Visit several times a year and enjoy it every day. Always well lite in public areas and patrolled by campground host, Park Rangers and Corp. of Engineer employees.

Restrooms were very clean lots of hot water. We missed all the deer that would come back from eating there was three or four only one this year. Kanopolis lake has deer everywhere and wild turkey in the campgrounds. It was such a delight to see a herd of deer eating grass behind the restrooms below the dam. I like to see more no hunting around the lake

All was good except for the no hot water in the showers. It was addressed and thought it was fixed, but then when returned to take another shower, water was cold again. We did appreciate the pleasantness of all the employees and it was a well kept up campground.

We checked in on Thursday to a beautiful sight. However we were not told that the lake had blue algae and we couldn’t get in. On Friday my husband went home to an appointment and I stayed because my son was bringing my grandkids down to camp and swim. We have cone to Pamona Lake and stayed in Michigan Valley for a couple of years now. I didn’t find out until the middle of the day the lake was unswimable. I called my son and explained to him about the blue algae and they didn’t want to come if unable to enjoy the lake. I understood and had to tear everything down, by myself, and left early to meet up with them at our house.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
