Pretty campground, nice spacing between sites. 2 camp hosts were on site and kept the campground mowed and restrooms clean. Nice playgrounds and a nice big shelter house, too. Camp host were friendly and welcoming. Saw them out working every day.

Camphosts were great and so was Kevin, the maintenance man who solved the electric problem at my site.I left early due to tick bites on my dog and also the stormy weather.

The park was quiet and the campsites very nice and spacious for our 24ft. The public restrooms were quite dirty.

When we were all hooked up, our power didn't come on. Several people offered assistance but it was a bad main breaker. The ranger reset it but through the night it tripped several more times. We were able to move to a new sight after a couple days. Very peaceful with magnificent shade trees! Only downside is gravel roads that access the park.

Nice quiet campground. Plenty of space between sites. For most sites, one must travel across the dam to arrive at camp sites. if you go down to the camp sites before crossing the dam, you will encounter a bridge that has a weight limit of 3 tons. And it is has height limit of about 12 feet. Once across the dam, you will turn on to a dirt caliche gravel road that will take you to the camp sites. You will arrive in a cloud of white dust. White dust on everything. It is a nice campground. We only were passing through, 1 night. We glamped in a 35 ft fifthwheel, F250.

I was very upset with our camping trip this time that guy that was mowing right up beside my camper hit my camper with rocks then I was cooking breakfast the next morning he's out there Mowing and putting dirt all over where I was cooking breakfast then he went back and did it the next day we get away to go camping not having somebody disrespect you while you're having a camp out have all week to mow and you have to mow when somebody's there it was five campers along that side that weekend and it was so disrespectful and he was a fat guy living in that other camper over there did not care.

Campsite was nice. Good shade. Everything worked. Close to the damn. Area was quiet. Had a horseshoe pit. Bring yard games because they have a park to play in across the campsite. Very nice.

The bathrooms could have been cleaned more often. Other then that the stay was great.

We love fall river damn site. The only thing that Really needs Done is gravel In where you park your Campers. Other than that it is a very nice and quiet place to camp.

We arrived to no water and the shower house locked. The next morning, a park ranger stopped and told us that we were not supposed to be there. The site we reserved was to be blocked because of tree work that was scheduled. Because we had printed out reservation, we were not made to move and the water was turned on the next morning. The spot we were in is more bare dirt than rock or grass and was muddy several days. The park ranger was courteous and polite which speaks worlds about him.

We had no tv reception and no cell service. It would have been better if we had them. The assistant park ranger was very nice.

Loved the campground; sits right on Somerville Lake, spacious sites, friendly volunteers. Bathrooms could use a little work. They were clean. 1 of the 2 men’s shower nozzles and its wall bracket needs replacing. Water pressure and temp were good.

Dead trees over parking spots and no phone service
@MarkM2223984 · Camped on Sep 23, 2022 at Campsite #20
very disappointed with the lack of access to the water below the dam. The big rocks are dangerous to cross.
@DanielG6266400 · Camped on Sep 16, 2022 at Campsite #29
Many trees need extensive repair - dead trees and branches over the camper and truck. The area has no phone service.
@StevenC2003509 · Camped on Sep 8, 2022 at Campsite #26
Mostly clean bathrooms and showers, need new shower curtains. Love that there's lots of different types of trees. From oak, hickory, pecan and others. Park is clean and the host is friendly and checks on you daily to see if you need anything even firewood. Love that. The last place didn't even say hi. .
@RosieR3175750 · Camped on Aug 28, 2022 at Campsite #27
Not well maintained, lots of dead tree branches which had potential to come off and damage trailer. Bathrooms rather shabby. People couldnt switch or get new site even though camp was empty, host was kind but couldnt help you. Electricity was out on numerous sites and had to work on it twice. Sites were not posted as reserved and many sites didnt have numbers. We have never had such an experience could be a grest spot but we will not return due to all the problems and lack of anyone to help you.
@HarryS7293485 · Camped on Aug 17, 2022 at Campsite #22
No signage on road to locate the place. Two miles of rock road to get there. No one there. No check in. Very poorly keep. Down tree limbs all over. I have been to several COE parks & never one this bad! Paid for two nights & stayed one! Called in & asked for full refund. Received reply denying! DON’t GO THERE!

Last year, we reserved all the east sites next to the camp host sites. The were great and we had no issues. But this year we got the 5 spots on the west loop. And of course it rained. 3 of the 5 sites had serious flooding and were we the whole time we were there. The other 2 did eventually dried out. Additionally, the sights were pretty unlevel making it hard to get the camper level.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
