Stayed in the #10 spot and there was a large loud group in the pavilion and there were a number of dogs barking all day. No relaxing was had that weekend. We checked out better spots for more seclusion.

The campground itself was very nice but the pit toliet was filthy and smelled horribly causing that whole loop to smell.

Our campsite had small pieces of trash around. Didn't appear camphost cleaned our campsite. The grill had leftover burned charcoal. Bathrooms & shower rooms were dirty, lots of bugs & cobwebs inside showers & bathrooms. No soap or sanitizer to wash hands..I am very good disappointed & will never stay here again

Shower house had water backing up in the women's so we went to the other side and they were better.

Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The only negative was that the concrete pad for the RV was partially covered in dirt washed in by rains several days earlier...had not been cleaned since. Fortunately, we came prepared with a shovel and broom.

The site was very hilling. It was not good for someone with walking issues. Nothing was flat you felt like you set on and angle

The park is well taken care of. The restrooms and shower house are always clean and stocked. The camp sites are maintained with good hookups. Crappie fishing is amazing at Big Hill Lake. We love camping here every year!

The park is starting to get a little run down. Several dead trees at campsites and could fall on campers or vehicles

We stayed in November for a few days. Lovely park!!!! Only major drawback is that there were no showers nor laundry machines available as the building was locked up tight. Found no host on site to question/report.
@WilliamE293173 · Camped on Oct 20, 2023 at Campsite #21
As of Oct 2023 the retaining wall on #24 was too high to allow our slide out to slide out. We switched to a different site with no problems.

We enjoy having all the trees and the atmosphere at this campground. Was very hot but usually there was a breeze. Probably because of the temperature there weren't many campers when we were there. It's nice to be able to walk to the lake.

Nice site. The only problem is that the previous occupant left trach in the fire pit.
@AnthonyF294780 · Camped on Jun 23, 2023 at Campsite #27
The site was very nice. The water and electricity hook up was close and the site was a pull through. Plenty of shade. Close to the bathroom.

Wonderful experience for our first time camping! The host was very nice and kept the camping areas clean. Spacious sites. Great Stone picnic table and additional high top for standing or cleaning fish. $24/night was a reasonable rate for our shakedown trip. No ticks or major bugs. It is gnat season and they were easily repelled. Hookups were perfect. The campground info only mentioned 50AMP so we brought a 50A to 30A dogbone. However, it does have 30AMP as well. Good water pressure and level sites. We didn't need to level at all in our C Class. For Memorial Day weekend it was quiet and peaceful. Just the roaring of the boats were heard on the lake, but that was expected and not annoying or disturbing. We were camped at SITE 3.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
