Camped in site 15 & had a wonderful birthday weekend for my Mom. We brought our kayaks/PBs and left them at our A loops beach area as did other campers and no one bothers them. We were gone to Crater Lake one full day to Cleetwood cove trail and did the boat tour on Wizard Island. Camp/belongings were left alone no problem. The next morning we paddled from camp over to the Lake of the Woods lodge restaurant for breakfast and vacay drinks. There was a car show which closed the boat ramp and made for an amazing calm morning on the water. The winds pick up giving choppy water as the day goes on but still fun to be on the water. Bathrooms (no showers) were kept clean. A loop bathroom didnt have outside lighting so at night we only used the bathroom in B loop. These sites are very nicely spread out with plenty of space between. A really nice change from the newer campgrounds/RV parks that squeeze you in like sardines to maximize profits w/o actually caring about campers/customers. Both Camp host couples were wonderful. They addressed an issue I had of hearing a dog whining (and some barking) ALL night long in another tent near by. The next night no whining at all and I was able to sleep. Beautiful, serene lake and campground!!! Wish we brought bikes to ride to lake trail. Will return for sure!

Wonderful stay. Very kind and helpful camp host. They even returned an overpayment of $3.00 I made. Weve been camping here for years. No longer tent camping but in Motorhome now and would appreciate a few more choice spots becoming electrified

We love the campground! It is beautiful and there is lots of room between spaces. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because of the lack of tree trimming. It seems like everytime we go there are more limbs hanging over the road that we have to try to avoid with our 5thwheel.

Beautiful large campsites, very well maintained, clean bathrooms, beautiful lake. Nice and quiet and not crowded. Enjoyed our time there very much. Highly recommend.

We stayed in site 51. It was a nice big site. Driveway is decent sized. There is a trail right down to the lake from the campsite. Bathroom was clean.

We camped at Sunset twice this summer and both trips were awesome. The bathrooms are kept clean, the hosts are friendly and helpful and they make sure the 10:00 p.m. quiet time is enforced from partiers and generators. The campsites are large and mostly private. It's a great campground very well run! Kudos to Lake of the Woods Resort for running the campground so efficiently!

The sites are huge and we enjoy that.

The campsites felt secluded from one other with all of the trees. The lake was a very short walk from our campsite and we were able to have our own area at the waterfront. The bathrooms were kept clean; with flush toilets and hand drier.

Of all the states this is my favorite! The atmosphere is amazing. The camp host are nice and patient. The bathroom are extremely clean thanks to the camp host. There is no shower at Sunset but there is at Aspen point which you can use if you bring quarters. If you camp here just remember the sites next to the water have a lot of bugs compared to the others. Also if you bring a generator you can only run it for three Total hours a day, and only from 7am to 10 pm. So we would run ours in the morning for an hour and before bed for an hour. Overall tho my absolute favorite!!!

My family and I have been tent camping at Sunset, Loop C for 6 years. We have never been disappointed by the beauty of the campground, lake, sunsets and the maintenance of the rest rooms and area. Access to the lodge by walk, bike, kayak or standup paddle board is easy and good exercise. Weekends can be somewhat noisy but week days are quiet and relaxing.

We love the lake and the surrounding biking-hiking trails. Having a resort near the campground is nice.

Camp hosts were amazing!!! Bathrooms very clean at all times. Very peaceful, quiet campground. If you want more action, walk, bike, paddle or boat over to the lodge/marina area.

It's a lovely campground in a gorgeous location. Unfortunately many people don't have respect for their neighbors in the campground. I guess I haven't camped that much the last few years, but I was very disappointed by the sheer number of sites operating loud generators much of the day. It would be nice if the campground didn't allow the use of generators. Those that need to bring a single wide on wheels and generate electricity to have a house in a campground tend to ruin it for everyone camping for the peace and sounds of nature. If you're going to drag your home up with you and watch TV, why go camping? I miss the old days. Campground staff here are great, the property is nice, the lake is gorgeous... if only all the campers had some class and conscientiousness.

Lake was beautiful but this was the least peaceful place I have ever camped. There is a nearby resort that blasted crappy dance music for hours on end, the people next to me ran their generator for many hours at night and in the morning. There were screaming kids everywhere. I booked a site near the water but a group had "claimed" the spot on the shore as their own leaving all their chairs, floaties etc. by the water the entire time so no one else could use that spot. They let their many children run back and forth through the middle of my site constantly. I heard people having drunken fights at night. The facilities were clean and the hosts were nice but this place was not my scene at all. I left an entire day early even though I already payed because it was not at all relaxing.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
