Quinn Meadow is an excellent horse camp with wonderful riding trails. The camp is clean and the campsites are level which I appreciated. The only negative is there is confusion about which trails you need wilderness permits to ride.

My friend and I had a nice time at Quinn Meadows last week. The camp host was very nice and helpful. The camp is well kept up. I love that they put actual gates on the corrals, not just chains like at some of the other camps. Keeps my horse from thinking theres a way out.

VERY CLEAN, not only the campsite, the stalls, the "outhouses" are the cleanest I've ever seen out camping. The hand pump well water is COLD fresh and tastes amazing! Camp Host is friendly, helpful and suggested great rides

Great camp! Host is awesome. Really nice to stay in a horse camp that only had horse campers.

Sites could so easily be improved for access. Half the campers have repeated trouble getting into or out of sites. This is a known issue to the hosts who are great. Jim, along-term volunteer is quite snarky and even the host is often tired of his poor attitude.Website wouldn't let me reserve 3 days like it should have so I had an extra $8 charge - that's something rec.gov should reimburse, not the campground host like you told me when I reported the problem.

This was my first time at Quinn Meadows, the camp grounds & trails were well kept. We totally enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

Always a great place to stay with horses. Also, NO non horse campers allowed . Wish they would do this at all horse camps.

It was my first time at Quinn Meadows and I really enjoyed the experience. The trails were clear and the scenery beautiful. I could have used a bandana over my face to help with the dust when not riding first in line. I will next time! Shawna the camp host was wonderful and helpful. I highly recommend the ride to Elk Lake Resort for lunch or ice cream! I will definitely return to this wonderful place and recommend it to fellow trail riders.

Quinn Meadow is so special! Beautiful area with a nice network of trails. Corrals are nice safe pipe corrals (thanks, OET!).I'm including a quibble here, in case the USFS reads it. Many of the campsites were planned back when people had small pickup trucks and 2H trailers. People have a lot of difficulty parking today's larger rigs.

This horse camp is very well set up and a beautiful location. Very peaceful and has everything we needed. The camp host was very helpful and pleasant to chat with. Hope she is working there next year because we plan to come back every year we can.

to back into camping sites, need 12foot clearance height, this was compramized at site 8 on the right side. back in with LQ site number 25, was not possible for clearance reasons , needed to use site 24 opposite to pull in again for width clearance

Really beautiful campground with nice sites, well maintained equipment. Bathrooms(2) were clean, nice to have access to water. Enough trees in the campground to feel like you are outdoors. Don’t know if it was a good or bad thing that we had cell service the whole time. Horse trails were nice, so many options that we rarely saw other people while on the trails. This is my new favorite campground

My friends and I and our horses stayed at the camp from Monday to Friday recently. It is simply lovely. The weather was perfect, the trails beautifully maintained and marked and the scenery gorgeous. Everyone else camping there was very nice. I am already making plans for a return trip.

We love Quinn Meadows! Sites are nice and clean, corrals in good condition and you can put tarps over the top for horse shade. The hand lump well water is fantastic and good for humans and ponies. Will be back in 2023!

The camp information on the website and the reservations provided everything I needed to be prepared. Very quiet at night, privacy from other campsites, well marked. My spot was shaded which was great for me and my horse.

Loved the camp host but didn’t seem like there was much we could do to stop or even slow down RUDE out of state campers speeding backwards looking for camping w/o horses! Plus a large group 8-9 sites were a no show but because of Recreation.gov booking stuff our group that was all spread out couldn’t move closer to each other and to the best sites that sat empty for a week! I think multiple sites free booking (work party’s) should be limited to the less desirable & spread out sites. And/Or released the day after a no show!

The camp had just opened a week prior to our stay. OET was there that weekend clearing trails. There was still snow up at Mirror lakes.

The camp host, Shawna, was excellent! She did not put up with any nonsense because one thing I hate is dogs running lose but she kept it all under control, they should all be that kind of camp host. Everything was in order & clean. The trails are great, wonderful experience, thank you
@LauraC357 · Camped on Sep 5, 2021 at Campsite #10
Great horse camp! Corrals are pipe (not older wood corrals with chain gates as the pictures show). There is water from a hand pumped spigot close to the camp host site. Be prepared to haul water! 2 pit toilets and several garbage dumpsters throughout campground. Most sites are level, private and easy to back into (unless you have LQ). Trails are abundant, accessible from campground and there are several long loops. HINT; bring Kim Mccarrel's book and make copies to carry in your saddle bag to help with navigation. More Trails and trailheads with in reasonable distance if your willing to haul out. Campground host is friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Nice place. Got lost on the horse trails a few times. Camping area needs maps of horse trails located in the park somewhere for some direction and guidance. Camp host rude and of NO help. BEAUTIFUL area but needs an area designated to lunge your horse prior to riding. I tried to lunge my horse in meadow and camp host would not allow. When I ask where I could lunge him she couldn't give me answer other then a rocky area next to porta potties and manure pile with limited space and traffic driving through. I had a green 3 yr old gelding, that only has been under saddle 3 months and would not ride him without lunging him first. This made it difficult since traffic kept coming through the area and the area was not wide enough to get him worked. Other campers pleasant and respectful of others and weather was beautiful the entire time of 90 plus.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
