We loved this campsite! It was so fun with our kids to be right by the river and also close easy access to Sedona! I would love if they had a shower here to stay longer but we paid for two nights came early day one to have the entire day and camped one night. It was so fun! Amenities are clean - lady who runs the camp is super nice and helpful.

Camp grounds are way too close to the road and the campsite are very close to each other. Not sure why this site is so popular. Its clean though

I love this place! Plenty of shade, small campground, no mega-rvs allowed, quiet and lovely

This Campground is small! Way smaller than I expected. I originally was going to stay in site 17, but thankfully moved to 15 as 17 is really small. It's a bit crowded, not a lot of privacy. Campground is between a beautiful creek and a busy road. It was clean, hostess was very nice, bathrooms were as clean as they can be for outhouses. Overall, a decent experience. I prefer more privacy when camping, so I probably won't come back.

My 3rd time here and have reservations in the next coming weeks. Very nice campground.

Very disappointing. We were in campsite #7 and the bathroom smell was so strong that we didn't even want to hang out at the campsite. Being close I figured that we'd smell it from time to time, but it was constant and made even s'mores unappetizing. It's probably not always like that, but the whole campground is so small that most people probably had a similar pungent experience. The spot for the tent had a BOULDER in the MIDDLE of it. It was mostly underground, but it still took up 3 feet of unusable space in the center of the small, slanted area. Unbelievable and unacceptable. When they say no oversized vehicles, they mean it. My minivan barely inched into the parking spot.The table was a nice solid cement and the fire pit was good. The trees made the area beautiful and even though we were close to the road the trees and decline of the camp made it more private and quiet than I expected.Campsite #7 was is not large or flat, but removing the giant rock from the tent spot, flattening out the campsite, and emptying out the toilets way more frequently would have made it much more enjoyable. As is, I'll never camp at Manzanita again, even if that means missing out on amazing Sedona.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Camp host was friendly and welcoming. Site 18 is spacious and has great views. Also backs right up to the creek pathway. Had enough room for 2 tents and extra space. Fire restrictions were lifted so we were able to enjoy a campfire. The creek is a 2 minute walk away with a great little swimming hole super close by. Campground itself was clean and well maintained. Only complaint was loud neighbors but they quieted down just after midnight. We were able to fish, there were great close by trails, and overall a really great family experience.

Manzanita is great camp site near the river youll have the advantage of walking distance with great spots to relax and have some fun. I wont recommend space 6 or 7 since they are very close to the restrooms.Its very Close to slide rock ( 5 min drive) and to town ( 15 min drive ) Staff was helpful and friendly, we would have like to be able to listen to some music ( not an amplified) but just as a background but is not allowed.

Its a beautiful place and my second time there. However this time around led me to decide to never come back. First of all the rating for level 2 was instated the day we arrived. So we had no pre warning and came with firewood. Also the official rule for level 2 does not apply to a campground that has all of the standard facilities. So that was frustrating. To make matters worse it rained the whole night. But what really made our experience forgettable was the Karen that harassed us two days in a row about playing live music. When we checked in they told us no amplified music but live music ( guitar, jimbai,tambourine, singing ) is ok. The lady working there had a very unfriendly attitude and clearly showed she didnt like us. Not the right people who should be running a campground

My site was site number 7 and it was directly in front of the restrooms and the garbage bins. It smelled horrible. Manzanita is a nice campground, and it was great to be near the creek. It was also near the highway, but the car noise did not bother me. Also, there are very few sites, so if you would like to get a site, you probably need to make your reservation very early. Definitely stay away from site number seven though because there was a constant disgusting smell. Manzanita is nice because it is so closely located to the town of Sedona. While we were in Sedona, we went hiking to Chicken Point. The campsite had a nice fire ring and a picnic table.

The camp host did not clean the restrooms daily. They were not kept up the way they used to be.

Camp Hosts, Korey, his wife Anna and Kim, another camp host made my first experience camping in Manzanita a pleasure My rental car needed a jump start, Korey came to the rescue even when he was "off duty" ! I stayed in #12 . Oak Creek was right next to my campsite. Bathrooms were always clean Follow the "Creek trail" to a pool area. Bring your floaties! It's refreshing, the pool. 6/16-20/24 was my stay. I'm going to return ASAP!!!

Had a good time, but the host was a little unaged and grumpy but other than that everything went well.

This campground is a great spot. It is quiet, next to water stream and relaxing. Close enough to the city center to grab supplies when needed and explore.

Manzanita campground is a small, well-maintained campground. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning with many access points to Oak Creek, which is well stocked with fish. The primary negative is the small campsites and very limited parking space and the campsite borders on some sites were not obvious. Camp hosts were always available and resolved issues in a timely manner.

We loved our camping spot. We had a quiet camping spot among the trees and next to the river. Our two toddlers were able to play well there. Friendly camping host. No showers but there were toilets and we could take drinking water.
@Elizabeth96325 · Camped on May 5, 2024 at Campsite #15
I know this was a tent campground, but I expected the parking spot to be part of the tent site. We had a camper van and were basically given a parking spot that was so small we couldnt even open the back doors. We ended up leaving and going to a nearby dispersed campsite because we couldnt stay at Manzanita. Some of the sites were good - just not 12-15.
@Christine79297 · Camped on May 2, 2024 at Campsite #18
Cody and Anna (the hosts) were super friendly, took care of wood delivery, and kept the bathrooms immaculate! The campsite is small and the sites are on top of each other, but that's what you get for creekside campsite. The fishing was excellent. It was stocked on Thursday. The road is close, but traffic dies down around 10. I didn't enjoy the guy who set up his tent literally 2 feet from mine then snored all night. (They did have 3 giant tents, and 2 cars for 3 guys and 5 boys for a little tiny site.) I like this campground for its lovely creek access but the FS is trying to squeeze out as much money as they can by putting the sites so close together.

Everything actually there was great. Cozy, chill environment. Well-kept sites. Helpful host. Beautiful scenery with walking access to Oak Creek. Pit toilet bathrooms very clean, given what they are. Convenient walking path to Sterling Pass trailhead. Only knocks are acceptable (more so knowing what you're getting into): some road noise, tight entrance/exit via main road, lack of showers. Would recommend/return someday.

Wish there were sinks in the restrooms
@Erinc6378035 · Camped on Apr 18, 2024 at Campsite #9
Nice campsite, table and fire pit are on even ground. The site is right next to the camp hosts. You might have difficulty parking a larger SUV or truck because of the tight parking shared with Site 10. I dont recommend this site if you have a trailer. The site is not on the river, but still close enough. The hosts were very nice and the vault toilets were clean.

Great location. Loved the sites, 5 up high away from people but closer to the road. 5 closer to the creek. Great bird watching and proximity to town and hiking. Also very nice fire pits and grills.
@NateS9A5D4A2F6 · Camped on Apr 7, 2024 at Campsite #15
Camp host was amazing. Very friendly and made it clear that if we needed anything to let her know. Site 15 info is a bit misleading as it does not state that you cannot park at your site. Parking for this site is about 75ft away on the blacktop. Basically you have a parking spot and then have to walk to your site. We were in a campervan and so ended up feeling like we stayed in a parking lot. The site next to us (14) was also a camper van and we were parked nose to tail. HOWEVER. This campground is in a great location and is very beautiful. I would just say that if you're wanting to park at your site, avoid sites 15,14,13 & 12. I believe you can park at all of the other sites. Enjoy!

We stayed in 19, we were on the edge by the creek, so it felt more private even though the campsites were full. Pit toilets were clean, host was nice. Love that we could just walk across 89 and start Sterling pass trail. So peaceful hearing the creek

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
