The campsite is really close to the bathroom, while convenient, also stinky at times. When the wind blows you may catch a whiff and its not pleasant. The second downside of being this close to the bathroom is that theres a bright light that shines all night long, pretty much ruining star gazing. It also made it difficult to fall asleep as the light shined right through my tent. Other than that, it was good.

Family and I love this campground. Sites are always clean, restrooms always stocked and as clean as vault toilets can be! Ha!You can buy wood and ice onsite which is nice. Only problem we had this time was that the skunks were out of control! They harassed us every night and were not afraid of us at all!

It's terrible that I have to leave a 2 star review. This little campground is gorgeous. Sedona needs more campgrounds. Plus the free flowing artesian well is located at the end of it. But... here's the problem. The vault toilets need some kind of maintenance. Maybe the stuff RVs use. The STENCH was appalling. And it became worse Monday morning when the truck came to pump the waste. We threw all our stuff in our truck and left ASAP. Please please do something about the vault toilets. The smell really was horrific. We saw other people pack up and leave too.

Is close to the road - but as such, not too far from some good hiking trails. Campground hosts were most friendly and hospitable and helped to make the 2 nights spent at CG a nicer experience. Thank you

Great Campground! We have been going to Cave Springs Campground down the road for years. It was closed this year which made us give Pine Flats a try. Because we have and RV it was actually easier to maneuver in this campground with close access to the creek. We love the natural spring being in walking distance to fill up our water.

Beautiful campground with the best smelling vault toilets I've ever encountered! The nightly visit by the skunks was highly entertaining. It would have been nice if the campground hosts had been a little more responsive.

This campground was great to get away for a couple days. The hosts, Brian and Katie were so friendly! They made my stay that much better! The only thing to watch out for are the skunks at night. I never had a problem with them, but they will walk in and out of the campground once it's dark, into the early morning hours. Make sure to give them space and not corner them. If they don't feel threatened, they are not going to spray. I will definitely stay here in the future.

Katie and Bryan are awesome! Super friendly, warm and welcoming! Cant wait to come back and see them again! I love that the creek is directly along the site, that fires are welcome and the site and amenities were always clean. Thank you!Numina (Nums)

First time at PineFlat site 5. and it was a great experience. Camps are on top of one another so not much privacy. Tent pads are some of the largest and best we have had. Camp hosts were friendly and worked hard. Restrooms were clean but smelly. Water was low but we enjoyed the cooler weather and hiking in the area. Fresh spring water and friendly campers.

It was a great place to camp it is only 15 minutes from slide rock. The only bad is that there are too many skunks at night time so you have to be very careful when you walk to the restroom, and there are no showers close by you will need to drive for one hour to a gas station that has a truck stop

A little bit of road noise but a great spot with easy access to everything.

We stayed in site 008 because it looked really nice in the photos online. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. Firstly, it was right beside the main highway. After 10:30pm, thankfully not many cars were driving by, but there was a lot of traffic noise up until that time (kind of defeats the purpose of camping in the wilderness); a car did drive by after dark with a teenager who yelled, "R-PE!!!!" at us as we were sitting with the glow of our campfire, and that was quite unpleasant and displays the lack of privacy and the site's proximity to the road. The second issue was that the campsite adjacent to ours was quite close (also with no privacy/bushes or anything between), and there was a very verbally offensive father yelling at his kids incessantly. Our neighbor also had a confederate flag in the windshield of his truck, which I noticed upon arrival, and was quite disconcerting. The third problem was the smell of the restrooms did permeate and fill the air to the point where I wanted to leave early the next morning to eat in Sedona rather than stay and eat breakfast at the camp before leaving. Overall, as regular campers, I would not recommend this campground simply because of the lack of privacy and peace...though the forest/surrounding area itself were very beautiful. If you have an RV or somewhere to escape the chaos, then I'm sure this campground will more than suffice.

Pine flat campground was a wonder place to spend the week. The camp host were friendly and very informative. They provided great recommendations on what to do in the surrounding area. The campground was kept very well and had no issues with noise from the road. Had an amazing time looking forward to booking our next stay.

Beautiful! Camp hosts were great! Only downside is no swimming hole nearby like Cave Springs.

Beautiful sight. Clean and well maintained. There is some traffic noise from the highway during the day but it wasn't bothersome.

Spot #31 is spacious and great location furthest away from the road. Great time!

Too crowded and too close to the street. Beautiful scenery to enjoy but rather be peaceful in the woods
@AshleyM6190418 · Camped on Jun 18, 2024 at Campsite #29
Creek was diverted so we had to pack up and leave to go to water. Foxtails have been allowed to run wild and our dog got one stuck in her eyelid. We had to keep a very close to to keep then from getting them in their feet and fur.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
