Clean bathroom, big campsites

Campground was clean and quiet at night. Bathroom was well stocked and the camp hosts were very nice. Backing in a large camper is kind of tricky with the trees on either side of the road and the road being only one lane.

Booked site 8, but it wasn’t good for our popup orientation. We checked out site 12 which was first come first serve and it was available. Site was big with a view of the lake through the trees and stairs down to the water. Site 15 is on the end and perfect for the view, open space and will accommodate an rv, boat, truck, screen room etc. Site 24 is also nice and big. Camp host was very friendly.

Beautiful area, pines, birches, lake, very nice privacy of campsites. Glad we found this campground through recreation.gov. And that we had headsets for mosquitos! Grocery in Deer River had birch firewood that was a joy to split and use.

We reserved site 14 for the beginning of June. It was windy but it helped keep the bugs away. The sunsets were beautiful from that vantage point. It's a small, quiet campground. It has a boat launch which is convenient. You can keep your boat up on the shore but watch out for the waves.

Williams Narrows is a great campground and the campground hosts were very accommodating. The main issue that is becoming evident at this and most every Federal Campground in the area is the lack of maintenance on the sites including the structures, beaches, camp sites, boat ramps and docks. Occasionally you see Forest Service Employee’s drive thru but never stop to do any repairs, improvements, cleanup or even say hi to the campers. Your campgrounds are very much enjoyed, utilized by the public and appreciated, so I hope you prioritize their value! Thank You for the opportunity to use these great areas!

Site 6 wasn’t as level as many other federal sites seem to be, but overall, the campground was very good.

I reserved two camp sites for two nights each. The web page forced me to pay a "convenience" charge for each night. Later, my wife broke her leg and I decided it would best to cancel our trip since she was in no condition for camping. So, I got back on the site and fumbled around a while only to learn that if I cancel, I'd only receive $24 of the $90 or so dollars. I decided to just shop the sites around to friends and relatives to see if anyone wanted to use them for free. As far as I know, the sites sat vacant unless squatters decided to take a chance and use them. I would be nice if somebody could answer a phone to deal with these situations. I hope you make good use of the free money.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
