Been going for years. Each year less upkeep. No maps AGAIN in the box. Asked 3 different government trucks that drive thru..none had. Trees down all over on trails again. Cut them off. Mow the sites.

This is an amazing campground!! The trails are awesome with such a great variety of scenery. You could go for miles and not cover the same territory twice. They are safe for horse and human. The camp sites are plentiful with easy access to the water - restrooms always clean. I can't say enough about this horse campground - I hope I always have access to such a great outdoor environment for years to come!!

Cut foot Campground in the Chippewa National Forest is absolutely beautiful. The trails are nice and you can go on different trails everyday. The campground is very nice and well maintained and the sites are easy to get into with horse trailers and campers. We loved staying here!

Nice campground and surrounding area and trails. However, there should be a few more drive-thru campsites and a wheelbarrow at every manure pit.

This is a beautiful campground. It is rustic, but the sites are wooded, and far enough apart to enjoy a bit of solitude, yet close enough that you can feel apart of a group if you come with one. Trails are beautiful, we love coming here as often as possible.

When we were there there was a bunch of people that just brought their side by sides and they were really respectful in camp and on the trail! It was so fun up there! We have been coming up there for over 20 yrs and love it everytime! Thank you for keeping it open!

We were on the way home. The park was beautiful. Surprised no garbage collection in camp ground.

Very nice place. We will use the campground again. The only thing that would make it better is if there was electric.

I love Cutfoot Sioux Horse Camp. The trails are wonderful and plentiful for both riders and drivers. The footing is good but there are rocky spots, I like to have at least 2 front shoes on my horse. If your horse is an ouchy one, 4 shoes all around would be nice.The campground is primitive but there is water for the horses. Each campsite is cut into the forest so there is semi-privacy. Each spot has a fire pit w/small grill , a picnic table and a high-line and the trailer parking is pretty level. I meet a group of people there the second weekend of September every year...no bugs then. Chippewa National Forest is huge! This campground is just north of Deer River on the east side.

Love riding at Cutfoot! Campground is very nice & clean. Trails are varied & scenic. It would be nice to have more signage on trails. Also, a water hydrant for the additional sites would be appreciated. I wish we could reserve sites sooner than 6 months from arrival. This is one of my favorite horse camps in MN !

I stay at the horse camp and enjoy miles and miles of horse trails that are conducive to horse and carriage driving. It is beautiful and well maintained. I understand that special efforts are done by the rangers to clear the main trails of any fallen trees so the carts can get through. I look forward to my annual trip each year. Been going to Cutfoot for the last 10 years.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
