Nice campground with good facilities and well-spaced sites. Access to the lake was easy, and a lovely beach area was nearby. We brought our dogs and had plenty of options for walking/hiking in the area. The Meyer and Bull Falls were excellent and only a short drive away. I would recommend this campground to others. We stayed in site 23 with direct access to the lake.

Nice lake. Need to check sites first before reserving. Camper might not fit.

Wonderful setting, clean campground, crystal clear lake. Many great trails, including the beautiful one around the lake. Coming back in September!

The lake is beautiful! We enjoyed the swimming very much but the beach area could use a little work. The sandy beach is covered with weeds instead of nice sand like it used to be. Our camp site was not our favorite. Getting our camper in was tricky and very little flat area. Then we had to go up and down steep hill to get to campfire and picnic table. We were in No 17. We would definitely pick another next time. The mosquitoes were very bad while we were there but that is something only nature can control. We enjoyed walking and exploring the surrounding area. Really beautiful!

Campsite, campground, beach and lake are awesome but generator rules need improvement. It's a gamble, idyllic, peaceful camping experience could be disrupted by loud engine noise. Neighbor ran obnoxious generator early every morning, periodically during the day and late every night once to 10:00PM. Activities must be kept to a level that ensures noise does not disturb other campers. Suggest using National Park Service generator rules as a template. Generator use in campgrounds is permitted only during the hours: 8–10 am, 12 noon–2 pm, and 5–7 pm. Unreasonable idling of motor vehicles is prohibited.

Such a wonderful place. I feel like keeping this place a secret. Lovely lake, perfect for kids, and very much immersed in nature. Campsites are wooded and pleasant. Loons and owls at night.

Reserved Thursday night stay in August...most campsites occupied. Quiet campground, clean sites and restrooms. Pretty 97 acre lake for fishing, canoeing, kayaking. Recommend scenic walk around the lake. Available trail and campground map was poorly photocopied and needed more detail.

Stayed at site 4 from 7-1-22 to 7-3-22. Very level site with a foot trail down to the lake. Made it easy to put kayaks in and out. No electricity and no dump-station, but this was explained in the description. Plenty of hiking trails in the area, clearly marked. Would stay again.

A beautiful small lake located in secluded area. Highly recommend for people who prefer close contact with nature and peaceful places.

My family has been camping at Lost Lake for more than fifty years. We love it for it’s rustic nature and beautiful lake sites. There have been more and more large trailers lately with generators and the noise from them is disruptive and detracts from our experience. We wish that generators were not allowed or only allowed on the far end of the campsite which is more conducive to large camping rigs. Also, it’s seems like things are beginning to fall into disrepair like benches not being replaced and a lack of overall maintenance. We understand much of what is done depends on the forest service budget, however, if we can send money to foreign countries, I would hope we could spend money to maintain our national parks which tend to serve the lower to middle class of our society

Great campsite and campgrounds. Running water nearby and clean out toilets. The campgrounds are heavily used, but it didn't seem crowded. Check out the nearby artesian well.

Had a great time!! But we did get swimmers itch for the first time in our 20 plus years, so I’d be sure to wash up good after swimming. The lost lake cabins are a great resource for ice, firewood, and showers if needed.

The campground was nearly full, but it still felt very private and secluded. The lake is beautiful, but the fish weren't very cooperative. One of the better national forest campgrounds we've been to.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
